Two: Beautiful Failure
Elise's PoV:
After punching my new friend Laura's horrible excuse for an ex-boyfriend, we made a run for it, but while we turned around to see if he was following us, and collided with a dark haired and dark skinned boy from Slytherin.
"Godric!" He exclaimed, jumping a tad in fright.
"Jay Harring?" I asked, I'd heard about the only openly gay guy at Hogwarts through gossip about him rejecting a girl who wanted to...never mind. That isn't important.
"That's me," he said, still obviously shook. "And you two are...?"
"Laura. Laura Papington."
"And I'm Elise Sanantonio." I introduced myself.
He brushed his dark hair off his forehead. "Why were you guys in such a rush?"
"Long story short," I began, "I'm a feminist and I punched her ex."
"Gotcha." He nodded although I'm sure he wasn't entirely sure what I was talking about.
"Anyway, we're going to the library, if you'd like to come with." I offered, looking at Laura. Oh no. No, no, no, no. What was this feeling? No way. I shook my head and started walking the familiar halls to the library where I spent most of my time.
Laura coughed, dusting off an old book. "What's this?" I walked to her side, feeling that feeling again.
"Hogwarts, A History." Jay read aloud from the cover, and as we opened it, we heard a loud thud from the other side of the bookshelf.
"Jesus!" The person yelled. I rushed to the other side to find a person with short, golden hair and pale green eyes and ivory skin.
"What?" The person said, standing up and dusting themself off. "A fricking book fell on me!" I noticed their Gryffindor tie.
"What's your name?"
The Gryffindor sighed. "My name's Jo, that is all you need to know about me. Goodbye." The confident person grabbed their book and raced out.
"That was weird." Laura said to me as I sat down with them.
"I guess. They were very secretive." I told my new friends.
"Well, was it a boy or a girl?" Jay asked.
I hadn't even noticed. "I-I couldn't tell. Maybe they don't identify as one gender."
"Quite possible, though." Laura said, and my heart fluttered-sorry, stupid autocorrect, I meant my face...smiled...at her.
-*-*-*-*-
"Chicos, mira! ¡Encontré algunas partituras para mi violín!" I said, slipping into my native language, Spanish. They stared at me in confusion, and Jay arched his eyebrow. "Sorry, I meant I found some violin sheet music in this book." I explained in my second language.
"You play the violin?" Laura said, crossing her legs.
"Y-yeah." I said, blushing?
"Awesome!" Jay said happily.
"Eehhh, That's so cool Ravenclaw!" Jo mocked from their bookshelf.
"Hey, you can-"
"GUYS! It's past curfew anyway. We'd better get back before Filch yells at us!" Laura said, annoyed.
I stormed out, not knowing the storm that was brewing in my common room.
Sorry if the Spanish is bad, I'm using Google translate because even though I know some Spanish, I'm not very fluent.
Anyway, how was this chapter? Okay?
See you in the next one, and go read the newest chapter of my rant book, it's going to explain some stuff.
Bye!
