The end of the day rolled by quite fast, though Jungkook had soccer practice, so the pair couldn't go home until later in the afternoon.

They had agreed to meet at the school gate at 6:00pm, Jungkook would be back from his practice and Taehyung would be back from his study session at the school library.

Jungkook was currently at his locker, listening to Jimin's constant banter about meeting Hoseok's best friend, Yoongi, and how much of an asshole to him he had been.

"I swear, i have never met someone so rude before, no wonder the dude has no friends."

Jungkook simply nodded to whatever he said, sometimes asking a vague question to keep the conversation going.

Jimin was also in the soccer team, he played as their trust worthy goal keeper. Though he was pretty short, he had extremely good reflexes and was very fast and light on his feet, which internally balanced out his lack of height. It was pretty hard to score against him.

His boyfriend, Hoseok, was also a very good element of the team. He was just skilled at defence, only a few select players could manage to dribble past him.

"And so then i- Hobi!" Jimin suddenly erupted in a squeal, then running towards the entrance of the locker rooms where his boyfriend stood, smiling at them.

Beside him was Seokjin, who didn't play soccer, though he assisted every practices as their water boy and manager. He would be the one to track their progression as well as organise friendly games against other schools and also treat the light wounds (basically, he was the team's trusty mom).

"Hey babe." Hoseok greeted the shorter with a chaste peck on his plump lips, Jungkook and Seokjin rolling their eyes.

"Keep it for the bedroom." Jungkook muttered.

"Look who's talking," Seokjin teased. "You're the one who always has a girl at his arm."

Jungkook was about to protest when Jimin turned around from Hoseok and spoke up before he would.

"Actually, i haven't seen him around anyone except his friends lately." He elbowed Hoseok as they looked at Jungkook with a knowing smirk, those two always seemed like they were up to no good.

"Could it be the fuckboy fell for someone?" He asked, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.

Jungkook rolled his eyes and pushed passed them to the locker rooms.

Seokjin whistled.

"Alright kids gather around!" He yelled in his high pitched voice, the twenty students who had been chatting around in the field quickly jogging up to him.

"The coach isn't here so we will only play a few games and workout, starting with five laps. Come on let's get moving!" Jungkook said to his teammates before he started running, the others following with grunts of disapproval.

"This captain is such a monster." Leehwan muttered behind him, his twin following closely.

"Tell me about it." Leechul muttered.

Jungkook didn't pay attention to the comment, if anything, it flattered him.

Thanks to him and some other new players like Jimin and Hoseok or the Lee-twins (as they were called), the team had been stronger than it had been in the past five years. They had already won two tournaments, and they didn't show any sign of stopping.

Once their laps were completed, they warmed up together, then working out their muscles with the various exercises Jungkook presented to them.

"I swear to god!" Jeonhal groaned. "When is coach coming back, practice is easier with him than with the captain."

"I heard that!" Jungkook yelled from the other side of the field.

"of course you did." Jeonhal muttered, throwing his hands in the air as he rolled his eyes, making the rest of the team laugh breathlessly.

They took a quick break, drinking messily at the water Seokjin handed them, before dividing the team into two and playing against each other.

The atmosphere had become pretty light, though it usually was. Once everyone was warmed up they could finally have fun and enjoy themselves.

"Leehwan will you fucking pass the ball?" Leechul yelled, making the entire defence of the opposite team laugh quite loudly, the lee-twins always seemed to end up bickering no matter what happened.

The game ended with tie, which didn't happen often.

The worn out players gathered around in a large circle and passed the ball around to cool down, cracking jokes and gossiping as they did, which was great way to make their teamwork better.

"Hey did y'all see the new girl on the girl's soccer team?" Jeonhal asked, bouncing the ball from his knee, back to his foot and then back to his opposite knee.

"Who? Moonbyul?" Hansul, the second goalkeeper asked.

"yeah, her. She's hot." Jeonhal answered, kicking the ball over to hansul, who blocked it with his chest and dribbled it shortly, before passing it to Leehwan.

"More like scary." Leewhan chirped. "Did you hear her voice? freakin' deeper than mine!"

The team chuckled.

"Everyone's voice is deeper than yours." Hoseok joked before he caught the cannonball Leehwan just shot at him.

"Jimin's isn't." He retaliated, to which Jimin yelled a loud (and high pitched) "Hey" from the other side of the circle, the team erupting into loud laughter.

Seokjin then came to wrap up the practice, remembering all of them to stretch when they got home.

The loud team hit the showers in a light atmosphere (as per usual), with Leehwan and Leechul hiding each other's underwear and Hoseok and Jimin showering with a very close distance that used to make the rest of the team uncomfortable before it just became normal to everyone.

"Alright everyone! great work today see you tomorrow." Jungkook said as he left the locker rooms.

He had changed out of his soccer uniform back into his school one, though he didn't shower because a certain someone waiting for him at the gate was on his mind.

That left him with sweaty hair and red cheeks, despite the cold nipping at his nose, quickly jogging to the school gate to meet up with Taehyung.

He found the boy on the phone, slowing down his walk not to interrupt.

"I'm sorry mom. I-I can't... yes, i promise... Alright, take care of yourself... love you too."

And with that he ended the call.

Jungkook was quite surprised, to be honest he had somehow forgotten Taehyung actually had feeling too. The boy was so closed off and neutral, he didn't expect to hear a "love you too", from him.

"Hey!" He greeted him as he slid an arm around him.

Taehyung frowned, immediately pushing him away.

"ew, you're sweaty and you stink." He mumbled, walking ahead of Jungkook.

Jungkook laughed and quickly caught up to him.

"Sorry for being a little late." He said.

Taehyung shrugged.

"Hey Taehyung?" Jungkook asked as they slowly walked down to Jungkook's house that really wasn't that far.

"Mhm," The other hummed, his gaze trained on the sidewalk despite the beautiful hues of pink and orange that coloured the evening sky.

"How did you get that bruise on your lip?"

There was a falter in Taehyung's step, though he seemed like he tried to hide it.

"That's none of your business." He mumbled, and it somehow disappointed Jungkook that Taehyung still had is walls so high.
