Prologue

Japan, Tokyo District
5:37 A.M.

As the sun began to rise over the horizon and shine its warm light on the continent of Japan, its warm shine slowly crept through the windows of a two story home that was painted blue and was surrounded by a small wall and a gate at the entrance. As this morning light shined into a pink bedroom that was littered with clothes everywhere, it eventually reached a lumpy blanket that was curled on a single-person bed. After 3 minutes had passed, an alarm clock began to ring loudly before a hand from the blanket came out and tapped the nightstand next to the bed a few times before it finally reached the top of the clock and pressed down to stop the ringing.

"Jeez...Why can't the sun sleep in for a bit longer..." A low voice spoke from under the blanket as someone sat up and let the blanket fall off themselves.

As the person sat up they revealed their petite body as their hair fell down all over and a strap from their tank-top fell to the side of their shoulder. This girl yawned and stretched her hands up above her head before turning towards the side and letting her feet fall she slipped on the fuzzy bunny slippers that were on the floor before getting up and heading towards the door that was in front of the bed and next to the light switch. After exiting the pink room and walking down a few steps towards the left where a small hallway of 3 rooms total were, the pink bedroom included, the girl turned right and started walking down a set of stairs before hitting the bottom floor of the house in about 14 steps. After reaching the bottom floor there was a small shoe-stand with a drawer on top where coins, keys and other miscellaneous were located, the girl grabbed a pink smartphone and tapped it twice before it woke up and showed the time and a few notifications.

"Huh...A message from Takuya-kun..." The girl muttered as she saw a message that came in at 3:27 A.M.

"Couldn't sleep, I'm way too excited about our first day! I already texted everyone, we'll be waiting for you at the station. Don't be late! (^#^)" The message read as the girl smiled and tapped twice to reply.

"Alright, I'll be there. Tell Momochii to bring some snacks too. See ya!" The girl replied as she placed the phone back down.

After putting down her phone she walked left and started down a hallway, passing an opening that led to a living area, and reached the first door on her right before opening it to reveal a bathroom. Switching on the light without closing the door, she looked up in the mirror and stared at herself.

"I'm a high schooler, but I still don't look that old yet...Kurokiyama-kun is gonna tease me again..." The girl spoke in a saddened tone as she stared at herself with a pout.

Her skin was a fair tone, her eyes were a dark brown color as her hair was long enough to reach her shoulder blades and brown to match her eyes. Her face was petite along with the rest of her body as she stood at about 165 centimeters tall. Her lips were also small, but there was not a single blemish anywhere on her body. After sighing and ruffling her hair a bit, she reached over to the right of the sink where there was a cup with three toothbrushes in it and grabbed a pink one before turning on the sink and grabbing a tube of toothpaste set next to the cup. As she was brushing her teeth she looked once more in the mirror and stared at herself before growing a fiery look and giving herself a thumbs up.

"No, I'm definitely different from when I was in Middle School. Give it your all starting today, Erika!" She said in her mind before smiling and turning to shut the door.

After shutting the door and putting her tooth brush away, Erika walked over to the bathtub and turned on the warm water as she began to undress herself of the few articles of clothing she had. After discarding her clothes into a bin next to the door and setting down a small stool, she turned of the water in the tub and grabbed a wooden bucket from the side before dumping it in, filling it with hot water before dumping it on herself. She rinsed herself off before grabbing a maneuverable shower-head and turning it on to clean herself more as she lathered her body in soap. Once clean and rinsed off she hopped into the hot bath and slouched until just her shoulders were under the water as whatever escaped the tub flowed to the drain on the floor.

"Ahhh...nothing beats a hot bath..." Erika sighed in bliss as she opened her eyes and smiled. "I'm happy though...I won't be alone starting this year. I have friends that are going to the same school as me...I hope we're in the same class, all five of us." She though in hope.

After spending a fair amount of time in the bathtub, Erika finally stood up and came out of the tub as she pulled the cover on the drain to let all the water go down and empty the tub. She dried herself off and wrapped a towel around herself before putting another small towel in her hair and unlocking the door, slipping on her bunny slippers and returning upstairs to her room. After making her way inside and closing her door, Erika walked over to her closet and slid open the door to see her new Academy uniform which was a white uniform button-up shirt with a red ribbon at the collar, a red blazer, and a black skirt for the girls. Taking her clothes out and laying them on her bed, she walked over to her drawer and grabbed her undergarments before finishing off and making sure she was dry. After getting on her underwear and bra, and slipping into her black skirt and white shirt, she sat down at the small desk where a mirror and other make-up and study books were. Taking a blow dryer she used it to finish drying her hair and comb it until her hair was nicely straight and behind her shoulders. Looking at herself in the small mirror on the desk she buttoned her top button and put her red ribbon on before applying some lip gloss, curling her lips in before puckering them and smiling seeing that she successfully applied the lip gloss to her liking. Erika walked back over the drawer and grabbed a pair of thigh high white socks that she slipped on before grabbing a hand bag that was set next to the door. Erika closed her door and walked back downstairs before continuing pass the restroom and walking pass a pantry closet before entering a small kitchen where a dining table sat four people and the stove and other cooking items were in the other half of the kitchen.

"Alright..." Erika said as she grabbed a apron and bandanna off a hook on the wall and tied them around herself and her head. "Time for Erika's super special breakfast!" She said as she put her bag down on a the counter and walked towards the fridge next to the stove. "Eggs...Eggs...Ah, there it is!" She said while pulling out a carton of eggs and setting them next to the stove as she grabbed other ingredients.

After getting everything ready to make breakfast she began to fry some bacon, cook sunny-side up eggs, and steam some rice as she turned on the small TV that was sat in a corner of the cooking area and turned the channel to the news.

"Good morning. Today's whether has shown to be a clear day with no clouds in the sky and a gentle heat the entire day." The news said as Erika plated some bacon a few plates along with eggs and toast that she had going earlier.

"Alright, nothing's going to ruin this perfect day." She said as she heard running coming from the hallway.

"Breakfast! Breakfast! Nee-chan's special breakfast!" She heard two voices calling out in excitement.

"Hey, you two! No running in the house!" She said as she turned around to see her younger siblings, her two younger brothers.

Stood in the doorway were two young boys dressed in pajama's, the boy on the left had brown hair with brown eyes, but a light skin complexion. He was about 137 centimeters tall and wore blue pajama's with rockets and stars all over them. This was her younger brother Takumi. The boy next to him was in contrast with colors however, this young boy had golden blonde hair, with blue eyes and a more fair skin complexion. The pajama's he wore were red and had trains for his design, this was Édouard.

"Nee-chan! I want pancakes!" Édouard said with stars in his eyes.

"I want waffles!" Takumi said with droll hanging from his mouth.

"You two already know that waffles and pancakes are for special occasions only. So no pancakes or waffles." Erika said as she opened the rice cooker and fluffed the rice before putting some into a few small bowls.

"Huhhhhh?" They both whined in unison as another set of footsteps could be heard coming towards the kitchen.

"Now, now, your sister is making breakfast for you already. Isn't that more than enough? Besides, she has to hurry and leave soon to make it to her entrance ceremony." Erika heard as she looked back and saw a older looking woman.

This woman had long brown hair and dark brown eyes and her skin was fair as she wore simple purple pajama's and stared at Erika with a smile. This was their mother, Sayla.

"Good morning, Erika." Her mother greeted her.

"Good morning, Momma." Erika smiled as she filled her arms with plates and walked over to the table where her family were all sat.

"Are you meeting with your friends at the station today?" Her mother asked her as Erika put a plate and bowl of rice down in front of her.

"Yeah. We're all going to the entrance ceremony together. I still can't believe I was able to get into that school in the first place." Erika said as she set down food for her brothers who began to eat, but she grabbed their heads to stop them. "Give thanks." She reminded them as they clapped their hands together and bowed.

"Itadakimasu!" Her brothers and mother said before beginning to eat as Erika took off her bandanna and grabbed a plate to have some food for herself.

"Did you make your bento for lunch?" Sayla asked as Erika nodded while eating her rice.

"Yeah, it's ready for me to take." She replied as she went over to the fridge and grabbed a blue bento case from inside.

"I'll wrap it for you." Her mother came up and grabbed a cloth to wrap the bento in as she tied it up nicely and went to put it away in her bag.

After having breakfast and helping get her younger brothers ready for school as well, Erika quickly grabbed her phone and bag before heading towards the door. Just before she was about to put on her shoes however, she stopped and turned towards the open archway that led to the living area and entered the room. She approached a small shelf that was on the wall to left and on it were a bunch of family pictures of Erika, her brothers, and her mother. But in the center was a vase on a small wood block and in front of it was a picture of a man with blonde hair and blue eyes wearing a red plaid shirt and blue pants as he had his arms wrapped around Sayla and three younger looking children as they were all smiling in the photo.

"I'm heading off, Dad..." She said as she stared at the picture for a few moments before heading towards the door and slipping on her shoes. "I'm heading off now!" Erika said as she opened the door.

"Off you go! Be safe!" Her mother said from the kitchen as she watched her daughter giggle happily while waving at her before she left.

After exiting her home and locking the gate before she left, Erika started walking down the street she lived on and began to head in the direction she would take to get to the train station. While she walked down the road the gentle warmth of the sun was complimented by a blissful breeze as there were a few people walking in either direction of the road, some greeting Erika as she passed by them. After making it out of her residential area and making it to a more public and busy area, she waited at a train crossing as a train passed by and the cross arms rose up and allowed the people to pass. Walking through this area she was greeted with the sights she had seen many times and continued to adore since her childhood. A regular diner she and her family went to, a supply store whenever they needed to shop for school, small chill spots she and a few friends would go hang out at occasionally when she invited her friends over. Carrying her bag in front of her and walking with a smile, she finally reached the train station she was suppose to meet her friends at climbed up a set of stairs to stand on the platform and saw that there were a few people here, but none of her friends were around.

"Huh? Am I the first one here?" She said in confusion before pulling out her phone, only to see no one sent anything to her. "I guess they'll be here soon..." She said as she was about to put her phone away, but it slipped from her hand and fell on the floor. "Ahh! Please don't be cracked...please don't be cracked...!" She prayed as she crouched down and picked up her phone to see it was fine. "That was close...!" She sighed in relief as she stood back up.

As she went over to sit down on a bench and wait for her friends, Erika plugged in some headphones and began to listen to music peacefully while going through her bag to make sure everything she needed was there. What she hadn't noticed however was that a man who had dirtied, tattered clothes, and was laid down on a bench a few benches away from Erika, had stood up and began to stumble around like he was drunk. This man bothered a few people who turned him away before his sights had fallen upon Erika as he was intrigued by her looks and grew a smug grin on his face as he began to stumble towards her. Meanwhile, Erika who was going through her bag, had finished searching her things and felt her phone vibrate. Just as she put her bag down and looked up however, she was surprised and jumped a little when she saw the homeless man stood in front of her with his hands out.

"M-May I help you...?" Erika asked while pulling out a headphone.

"Change?" The man grinned at her as Erika just nervously pulled out about one hundred yen and handed it to him.

"T-That's all I have...Have a nice day." She said in hopes of the man leaving, but he just stood there grinning at her. "H-He's not leaving...and he's staring so much at me...I-I'm starting to get scared." She thought as her nerves were making her shake just a little.

"Hey, girl...Are you travelling alone?" The homeless man asked her.

"N-No...I'm waiting for my friends." She said to him.

"You're very pretty in that uniform, you know that?" The man said to her as he began to get closer and she backed up as much as she could into the bench. "You're very very pretty." He said as he began to reach out towards her.

"S-Somebody...Somebody help...!" She wanted to scream but only yelled in her mind as she was too scared to even make a sound.

Just as he was about to reach for Erika's skirt however, a firm hand suddenly came out of no where and grabbed the man's wrist as both of them were surprised and a strong breeze suddenly blew through the station.

Play Song At Top, Erika's Point Of View

I sat there scared and afraid, this man didn't give of a nice vibe of any kind and was staring at me weirdly. I tried to be nice in hopes of turning him away, but he stayed and kept calling me pretty. He moved closer to me as I moved back into the bench, and he tried to reach for my skirt. I wanted to yell...I wanted to cry...I was feeling so many things but my body was only frozen in fear as I tried my best to move, but couldn't. This man...He's going to do something to me...something terrible. But...Just when I thought it was over, someone grabbed his arm and stopped him as I felt a strong breeze blow through the air.

"Please do not touch this young girl." I heard someone speak in a sort of monotone voice as I looked up to my right slowly.

The color of the hand was sort of pale and almost matched the white sleeve it was clothed in. Following the arm up I saw it was sort of long, definitely longer than my own. When I looked up even more, I was met with an astonishing set of eyes that didn't look into mine, but the homeless man's eyes. Eyes with black irises, pale skin, and jet black hair that flowed with the wind. This new man who stopped the other one wore a white button up with a skinny black tie that was loose, had black pants with black work shoes, and hung over his shoulder in the other hand was a black hand bag and a black blazer jacket.

"W-Who the hell are you?" I heard the homeless man speak while I saw he was completely entranced in this new person's eyes.

"Please leave, and do not cause any more troubles for anyone else." The strange man spoke again before letting him go as I watched the homeless man run away from the station.

I was frozen in shock, but as I tried my best to unfreeze, I heard his voice again...

"Are you okay?" I heard as I looked up and stared into this man's eyes...his subtle...emotionless eyes.

"Y-Yes...Thank you..." I said to him as he leaned back and stood up straight.

"Be careful with who you speak with...You can tell by a person's eyes what their true intentions are." He said to me as I watched him walk away and stand at the edge waiting for the train.

"Erikachii!" I heard as I turned around and saw my friend, Takuya-kun. "Huh? What's wrong? You look like you just saw a ghost." He said to me as I only shook my head.

"No, I'm fine." I said to him before glancing back towards the man as he stood there completely still. "I'm fine..." Was all I muttered, as the only thing that ran through my mind were that man's eyes, and had it not been for him, something bad would have happened to me.

Much to my shock however, he slowly began to turn towards our direction as my eyes were widening. After a moment passed, it happened, something I didn't think would have happened...our eyes were locked, and we just stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity. My name is Erika Sukiyama, and this is the beginning of my life as a High School girl, and is also when I met someone...who would change not just my life...but the lives of so many students...

...Forever...
