Chapter 1: The First Day
Erika's Point Of View
"Huuuh?! No way!!!!" Was all I could hear from my shocked friends as we sat on the train on our way to school.
"Erikachii! I'm so sorry I was late! I'll never be late ever ever again!" Someone wrapped their arms around my and pressed their cheek against mine while crying.
"I-I said I'm fine, Momochii. You don't have to apologize." I said as she just pressed her cheek harder against mine and cried louder.
This is my friend, Kaguya Momochii. She's a few inches taller than me and has long black hair that reaches down to her lower back. She and I have mostly similar bodies, but I'm a bit envious about her chest growth being a bit more noticeable than mine since middle school. Her skin was fair and her eyes were brown and we wore the same uniform but she wore tights that covered her legs completely.
"I swear I'll never let anything bad happen to you! I'll protect you with everything I have!!!" She squeezed me harder as I struggled and tried to break free from her grip, pushing her face off me a bit.
"Jeez, good thing someone noticed and stopped that guy in time. Who knows what would've happened." I heard as I looked across at my other friend, Takuya-kun.
Hitsugaya Takuya-kun is a big guy compared to most people, standing at about 170 centimeters in height with a lean build. He was an ace for our middle school's basketball team and plans on joining the team at Arazashi Academy. He had short spiky brown hair with dark eyes and was a bit tan with the amount of outside practice and training that he does. He seems intimidating at first, but once you get to know him, he's a really nice friend.
"What was that guy like when you saw him? Did he look cool when he stopped that guy from touching you?" I looked over to my left at my other friend, Akari-san.
This is Shichimiya Akari-san, a friend of mine who played volleyball with me during middle school. She has short brown hair and dark eyes with skin that was almost white like snow. She wore the same thing as me and Momochii, but her tights only went to her upper thighs. I outdid her a bit in terms of height, but one thing that she beat me in though...
"Why are you asking? So you can try and win him over with these sacks of fat!?" I yelled in irritation while grabbing her much larger chest than mine as she blushed and yelled in shock. "Look at these things! You're like a cow, you know?!" I said in frustration while crying.
"S-Stop, Erika-san! T-This is embarrassing!" She cried out as I stopped and scoffed while turning away as she held her chest in fear.
"Good grief, complaining over simple chest size? No wonder you haven't grown at all yourself, Erika-san."I heard and got even more frustrated as I shot over to the seat across and grabbed the throat of the person who said that.
"Who are you calling a kid, Kurokiyama-kun?" I said while choking my other friend accompanying me to our new school.
Hashira Kurokiyama-kun, Takuya-kun's childhood friend and teammate in basketball. He was a few centimeters shorter than Takuya, but his build was more muscular and bulkier. His tan was also lighter than Takuya, giving him more fair skin and his hair was black and short while his eyes were brown. He and Takuya both sported the same male uniform that the academy gave them, a red blazer, black tie, white uniform shirt, black pants and black shoes with uniform bags as well. Our friends were trying to pry my off of him while Kurokiyama was turning blue at this point until a bell rang from the speakers signalling a stop.
"Shibuya Station, Shibuya Station." It rang as I finally stopped and we all got our things and stepped off the train.
As we stepped out from our train car however, I looked over to my right and saw the person who helped me step off the train as well and begin to walk away.
"Hey, let's see where he goes." Akari suggested while leaning against me while I pushed her off.
"We can't do that, we have to get to school. Plus, that's creepy." I told her as Tatsuya stepped over.
"But who knows, maybe he'll go in the same general direction as our school." He said smugly as Momochii chimed in before I could speak.
"Yeah! I wanna thank him for protecting you while I wasn't there!" Momochii said as I was shocked at her involvement.
"K-Kurokiyama-kun! You think it's a bad idea, right?" I asked before noticing he and my other friends were suddenly no where near me. "H-Huh? Guys?" I asked before shooting my sights towards the exit ahead and seeing my nosy friends following after the guy who helped me. "Why do I even try?" I sighed while following after them and catching up.
After exiting the station and keeping a distance between us and the person who helped me, we trailed him for a good amount of time. Crossing the crosswalks he used, going up and down sidewalks and stairs he went on, but what I found strange though was...
"H-Hey...have you guys noticed something?" Momochii spoke up as Akari chimed in.
"Yeah...I thought it was my mind playing tricks on me, but if you're seeing the same thing I'm seeing, then I'm sure it's no mistake." Akari said as we continued to trail in unease.
"These movements..." Tatsuya commented.
"These directions he's taking..." Kurokiyama said in a cold-sweat.
"He couldn't possibly be heading to..." I said in some nervousness as a few minutes later after finally reaching the area he seemed to want to head towards we were in front of a gated entrance that was open and...
"Good morning! Welcome to Arazashi Academy! Ahh! L/N-sensei! Good morning!" I felt our jaws drop to the floor as a girl wearing the same uniform as us greeted the man we've been trailing.
"Good morning." He responded while walking by as I shakily raised my finger.
"H-H-H-H-H-H-H-H-He goes to this school...?" I said through chattering teeth.
"He's a t-t-t-teacher...?" My friends all said in shock.
Just before you walked through the entrance however, you stopped in your tracks and turned towards Erika and her group of friends with a raised brow as your glance pierced their souls.
"What are you staring at?" You asked as they all straightened up and bowed their heads.
"S-S-SORRY, SENSEI!!" You heard them all yell in unison as they bowed their heads towards the floor and the men with them bowed their heads so low that they hit the concrete and cracked the ground.
"...What a weird bunch of first years this time around." You sighed as you walked through the entrance and the girl doing the greetings was waving her hands around in worry and confusion while checking on the boys who were currently bleeding from their foreheads.
After that awkward little interaction you had disappeared from their sights as they walked through the entrance and continued on their path.
"But still, who would've thought that the person to save you would be a teacher at our school? It's weird, right?" Kurokiyama spoke up as Erika fixed her bag that was slung on her shoulder.
"It's fate, don't you think?" Akari said with hearts in her eyes as Momo linked arms with her.
"A fateful meeting between a hottie teacher and a regular high school girl? It's almost like the manga I'm reading." Momo said in bliss as Erika glared at her in annoyance.
"What do you mean 'regular high school girl', Momochii...?" Erika asked while lifting up her sleeve and raising a fist towards Momo.
"Did you catch that glare, though?" Tatsuya asked as everyone remembered the cold, scary look you had. "At first glance, you'd think he's a gang leader or works for the yakuza. Hopefully he's not a first-year teacher." He said with hopes.
"Don't worry, there's no way a scary teacher like him would teach first-years. He's definitely a third year teacher!" Kurokiyama spoke with a reassuring tone, but just as their group was passing another group of three girls talking on a bench...
"Hey, did you hear?" They overhead as another girl spoke up.
"What, what?" She asked as the girl grinned who first spoke grinned.
"L/N-sensei is gonna be teaching first-years this time around." She filled them in on the juicy in formation as her friends were in shock and Erika and her group all stopped in their tracks.
"Huh?! No way! Really!?" One of the girls asked.
"Poor things...They don't know how tough it's gonna be. L/N-senseii is super scary." Another girl said while looking traumatized as if she were remembering horrible flashbacks.
"Poor first-years..." They all said while frozen in their tracks, Erika and her friends were all sweating bullets.
"T-This is bad...!" They all thought the same thing as Erika was having a mini heart attack.
"Huh?! What is this!? The guy who saved me from a tough situation might be my teacher!? No way...No way! What else could happen today...!?" Erika thought as the bell rang and everyone began to move to the gymnasium for the opening ceremony. "E-E-Everything's fine...Don't worry, Erika, there's no way fate would have set me in his class. There's no way! Absolutely no way!" She thought while walking towards the gym in a cold-sweat. "No way...right...?" She thought.
After The Opening Ceremony...First Class, POV Change
"Why...?" Erika thought while sweating bullets in her seat.
*BOOM*
"How...?" Tatsuya thought while gripping his pants into his fists and looking down.
*BOOM*
"This situation...it's...it's...!" Momo thought as a book suddenly slammed onto the teacher's desk at the front and everyone in the class had their heads down as you stared directly at them all with a scary look on your face.
*BOOM*
"Ladies! Gentlemen! Staring today and for the rest of your years at this academy, I will be your homeroom teacher!" You yelled as you slammed a book down on the desk in front of you with great intensity as a strong breeze and aura blew throughout the room from you.
"This couldn't be any worse!" Not only Erika, but all the first-year students thought in terror as they sat in front of you, their new homeroom teacher for the rest of the three years they'd spend at this academy.
"Now, time to get to business. Everyone, I want you all to stand up and face the board ahead." You told them as everyone looked a little confused. "Was that a request? No, it was an order! Stand!" You yelled as they all shot up from their seats.
"Yes, sir!" They all yelled in unison.
You walked away from your desk and stood in front of the first row of students. Your classroom had thirty students exactly, having five students going across, and six students in a straight line of each row. As you stared at the five students in the front row you sighed and and glared at the boy in front of you.
"You and the rest of the front row." You said lowly as the boy looked extremely nervous. "Pick up your things, and leave my class." You said as everyone was shocked.
"B-But why?!" He asked as you simply walked pass him.
"Because I said so. My word is absolute. That's all." You walked pass him as he was just in shock.
After you moved onto the next row, the first row of students were already heading out the door as you pointed to three students in the second row.
"All three of you, leave now." You said as Momo and Akari were both let out breaths of relief as they were seated in the second row.
"That was close!" The two of them thought with the whites in their eyes showing as you moved towards the row where Kurokiyama was seated and stood in front of him as he had a nervous look.
"What the hell? Throwing students out just because he thinks they're weak? You're joking!" Kurokiyama thought before growing even more nervous as you slammed your hand on his desk and stared him in the eyes. "T-This bad! I'm done for!" Kurokiyama thought.
"You...Do you play a sport?" You asked as he gulped down a breath of air.
"Y-Yes, basketball..." He answered nervously as you stared at him for a few more moments before staring at the other students in his row.
"Hmmm...Interesting." You said before moving on to the next row as he was shocked.
"He didn't eliminate any from us five?" Kurokiyama thought while the classmates to his left and right were all shocked as well.
Both Erika and Takiya were sweating bullets as they saw you were only two rows away from reaching their row as they were seated next to each other in the last row. Tatsuya's grip on his pants only got tighter and tighter while Erika was doing her best not to have a panic attack in the middle of the tense situation.
"This row, out." You said as another row was eliminated.
"Please God..." Takuya thought as his hands were shaking at this point.
"Out." You repeated coldly as you kicked out the row in front of Erika as she watched you slowly walk towards her.
"...Don't let me get kicked out...!" Erika shut her eyes for a brief moment before she heard your footsteps stop in their tracks and she opened them once more to see you standing in front of her.
"You, huh?" You said as you stared down at her and she was feeling intense pressure on her right now. "Back when I saw your uniform, I didn't think a student from this academy would live quite a distance away, but it would seem I was wrong. This academy's track record and reputation are still growing quickly, so I guess it's only to be expected. But, back at the train station, why didn't you do anything to stop him?" You asked as she widened her eyes in shock. "Why did you freeze?" You asked her as you saw the look in her eyes once more. "Your eyes..." You spoke while looking down at her as Takuya was in shock of the way you spoke to her. "...You're scared beyond belief, aren't you?" You asked her as she wasn't even looking up at you anymore.
"Why you...!" Kurokiyama began to feel angry and his fists were clenched as everyone was staring at you and Erika.
"Erikachii..." Momo thought in worry as your look grew even more sharp.
"What can you possibly do? What do you think you can accomplish as my student?" You asked her as everyone waited a few moments.
Just then, Erika took a huge breath before her look of nervousness turned into a fiery look that wasn't deterred by your piercing words, which gave you a shocked look.
"I..." Erika started as she straightened up, leaned forward, and stared you in the eyes. "I WILL BE YOUR GREATEST STUDENT THAT YOU'VE EVER HAD!!!" She yelled in your face as another gust of wind blew open the windows and sakura flowers flew through the room as everyone was jaw-dropped from her answer.
Everyone was frozen where they stood for what seemed like hours, and as she stood there, Erika finally felt her brain catch up with the words she just spoke to you.
"Wh-What..." She thought as she grew an instant cold-sweat and shocked face. "WHAT DID I DO!?!?" She was internally screaming.
"Erika, what the heck was that?!" Takuya thought with an awe struck face.
"ERIKACHII!!!!" Akari and Momo were both screaming in their minds.
"She's done it now..." Kurokiyama thought as he faced palmed.
Meanwhile, as Erika's friends stared at her with shock, the other students who were mot kicked out stared at you as your eyes were hidden behind your hair, and you were looking down.
"H-Hey, did she really say that?" A boy with short blonde hair asked.
"What do you think L/N-senseii is thinking right now?" A girl in Kurokiyama's row whispered.
"Probably how to rip her to shreds..." Another girl said nervously as Erika was shaking even more from hearing the other students.
"I'm toast...!" Erika thought as she couldn't even breath.
"You..." You muttered as Erika looked up at you nervously before turning white as she saw an irritated look on your face. "Are you saying my class is easy?" You said as she could practically see the flames of hell behind you.
"This teacher is super scary!" Erika shook in her place as you towered over her.
Suddenly, you slammed your hand down on her desk which made her yelp at first, but when she looked down, she was confused when she saw a sheet of paper on it.
"Wh-What is this?" She asked you.
"A test, the first test anyone tales in my class if you aren't told by me to leave. If you fail this test, you fail my class and leave as well." You said which shocked everyone in the room.
"Are you serious?!" Kurokiyama thought in awe.
"A TEST ON THE FIRST DAY?! THIS TEACHER IS INSANE!!!" Momo thought as Akari was trying to catch her breath from the sudden news.
"Well? What will you do? Do you think you have what it takes to pass this test?" You asked her as she stared at the paper.
She stared down at the paper for a few moments before she suddenly sat down and stared at you.
"I'll ace this test, no matter what!" She said with determination as you grinned at her.
"Do your best, girl." You said as everyone sat down, preparing themselves for their hardest test yet.
After passing out the test, you returned to your desk and sat in patience as you watched the students you gave a chance, write on their papers with struggling looks on their faces.
"Dammit...! This stuff wasn't even on the entrance exams for the school! I barely know half of this. And if that's the case..." Kurokiyama glanced back a bit as he was able to see an awe struck face that was plastered on Erika's face. "Erika's in a worst spot than any of us..." He thought as he knew even though Erika's resolve was strong, her qualities as a student were slower than average.
You stared directly at Erika as she would attempt to write on the paper and continuously flip it over to the other side to try and answer different questions. You saw the desperation in her eyes, the frustration in how she wrote on the paper, she was having a melt down.
"Erika Fujoshi...Played for her school volley ball team and passed the entrance exams with the minimum average score of the test. One look at her and you can tell she's just a regular high school student, but really she's incredibly slower than those around her..." You thought as you kept your eyes on her as time passed on. "...and because of that..." You thought as time for the test was up and you stood up to collect the test.
When you went over to grab her test however, she handed it over with a shaky hand without looking up at you and from the first glance at her paper, you saw everything you expected would happen to her.
"She won't pass this test." You thought as a despaired and hopeless look spread across her face as her friends stared at her with worry and sympathy.
After a long and rough first day, the sun was beginning to set as its orange glow was dimmer and in front of the school, Erika stood alone in front of the school's doors while her friends waited for her outside, staring at her with worry as they saw her holding a paper in her hand.
"Erikachii..." Momo said with worry.
"I still can't believe he kicked her out, especially even after making her take a test she wasn't prepared for." Akari said as Kurokiyama clenched his fists.
"Dammit! I'm going back to give that guy a piece of my mind!" He walked away and towards Erika as the rest of them tried to stop him from doing anything drastic.
Just as he was about to walk pass Erika though, he felt a hand grab onto the cuff of his shirt as he turned around to see it was Erika who was holding him back.
"It's fine, Kurokiyama-kun...I'm okay." She spoke with her head down as he looked even more angry now.
"IT'S NOT FINE! How can that bastard do that to you after saving you!? What kind of person is he!? I'm gonna make him--!" Kurokiyama stopped mid-sentence when he saw that Erika looked up at him with a smile as tears ran down her face.
"It's fine. Thank you, Kurokiyama-kun." She smiled at him as Kurokiyama felt his heart wrench and lost the anger he first felt, and only felt sadness for his friend.
Just then however, a set of footsteps that echoed the sound of heels hitting the ground stopped near them as Takuya turned around towards them, and when he looked up a little his face exploded into a red color as he was shocked from the person standing in front of him.
"Oh my, what's going on here?" They all heard as they turned towards the doors and saw a woman standing a few feet away from them, and Kurokiyama had the same reaction as Takuya upon seeing her.
At the entrance of the school stood a woman who was about 160 centimeters tall, had a voluptuous body type with curves that could drive a man crazy. She wore a black skirt that reached to her mid-thigh, wore black heels and a black blazer with the sleeves rolled up a bit that hugged her body and much larger chest that outsizes Akari's assets by about a size and a half. She had long green hair that was in a low pony tail, fair skin, dazzling purple eyes that hid behind glasses, and a smile that immediately pierced both Kurokiyama's and Takuya's hearts.
"W-Who might you be?" Takuya stuttered stupidly.
"I'm a second-year teacher here. My name is Hanako Koyanagi. Nice to meet you." She greeted them and bowed a bit as the two boys tried to keep their balance as they slipped a glance down at Koyanagi-sensei's cleavage.
"You two..." The two boys yelped as Momo crept behind them with a dark aura before knocking them both out cold as she dragged them away while they foamed from the mouths unconscious.
"Oh my, what's wrong?" Koyanagi asked as she noticed tears on Erika's face.
"Oh, nothing that you need to concern yourself with. It's just that our friend failed a test to stay in our class, and it was a hard test that we barely passed. The teacher was a bit cold as well." Akari said as Erika looked down in sadness and Koyanagi put her hand to her chin.
"Hey, who was the teacher that failed you?" She asked as Erika looked up at her.
"L-L/N-sensei..." Erika said as Koyanagi-sensei nodded her head.
"I see...Hey, all of you. Come with me." Koyanagi began to walk away as they stared at her in confusion, but followed her back inside the school.
As they walked around for a few minutes following Koyanagi around, Erika was shocked when she found themselves all standing outside of your classroom.
"Now, let's see if we can't do anything about your situation." Koayangi said as she reached for the door, but Erika reached out and stopped her by grabbed her wrist.
"N-No!" Erika said as Koyanagi was surprised. "I-I mean...I already failed and I don't wanna be a bother to him anymore than I already was..." Erika said as she smiled a little. "Thank you, senseii...but I'm fine now..." Erika said as Koyanagi leaned down to her a bit.
"Leave it to me." She said to her as Erika was confused.
Just then, Koyanagi raised her right sleeve and turned her open hands into fists as she took a deep breath while Erika and her friends watched in confusion before growing scared looks from what came next...
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING MAKING STUDENTS CRY, YOU SHITHEAD BASTARD!!!!" Koyanagi's yell echoed through the school as she kicked your door so hard that it flew off and flew out the window on the opposite side as you simply sat at your desk.
Erika and her friends all stared at the second-year teacher in front of them with scared and shocked looks on their faces as they saw she had an irritated and angry face.
"What do you think you're doing, Koyanagi-san?" You stood up from your desk as they felt the tension rise even more and you shot an angry and annoyed look back at her. "Are you trying to make me angry right at the beginning of the year again?" You asked as Erika saw the flames of hell behind you once more.
You and Koyanagi got in each other's face with ticked off looks as you both gritted your teeth through smiles.
"Hey, hey you bastard. What do you think you're doing making people cry?" Koyanagi asked.
"What are you doing knocking down my door like that again, otaku wench?" You asked her.
"Are all the teachers here as scary as them!?" Erika and her friends all thought.
Just then, you looked over and saw Erika once more as she yelped and turned away from you.
"Huh? You're back, huh?" You said as you walked over to her and her friends stood in front of her. "What do you want?" You asked before you saw the test you gave her in her hand as you sighed. "So that's what this was about..." You said as you walked back over to your desk. "I've seen many students pass through the doors of this school...I've seen many succeed, but also too many fail...That's why I'm so harsh on students. I want all my students to succeed, so I only take those who have the potential to do so." You said as you turned slightly towards her. "Come here." You said to her.
Erika slowly made her towards your desk and stood in front of you with her head down. You looked down at the paper that she was holding, but when you looked closer though, you were surprised when you saw notes and corrections being made on the wrong answers.
"Were you correcting and trying to understand what you did wrong?" You asked her.
"Yes, sir..." She said lowly to you.
You remained silent for a moment before standing up and looking down at her.
"Look at me." You said as she looked up at you with her tear-stained face.
"Here it comes." Koyanagi whispered to her friends while leaning on the wall as they all stared closely.
"Erika, you're slow..." You said as she felt an arrow strike her heart. "...you're sloppy, you're ignorant..." She felt arrow after arrow strike her body as she was barely standing now.
"I know that...I know that already...!" Erika thought as she closed her eyes tighter and let more tears fall.
"Why that--!" Kurokiyama was about to walk towards you, but Koyanagi stopped him and winked as he was confused.
As she stood there, taking the harsh truth from you, she felt the world around her become shrouded in darkness. Her incompetence, her slowness, all the things she felt insecure about, it was all hitting her as the world around grew darker and darker. Just then however, a single word stopped the darkness from consuming her....

Suddenly the despair she felt and the sadness she held in her heart were suddenly gone, and the feelings she felt were nothing as she listened to the next set of words you said to her.
"But..." When you said this, her eyes suddenly cleared up as she looked up at you. "You never give up. You don't let any mistake keep you down. You're eager to learn, you're eager and hungry for success..." You complimented her as you held out your hand.
As you held out her hand, the situation began to sink in more and more in Erika's mind as she couldn't handle the words you spoke to her. Her heart was racing and her hands were shaking as the floor in front of your desk was getting coated in her tears as she messily wiped them off her face.
"He always was a softy." Koyanagi thought while staring at you with a smile.
"I will acknowledge any student who does everything humanly possible to succeed." You said as Erika let another tear slide down, but it wasn't a sad tear. "Erika Fujoshi, don't let me down." You said as she shook your hand and had tears all over her face, but also had a smile.
"Yes, sir! I'll do my best!" Erika cried tears of joy.
"Alright!!" Kurokiyama yelled as he and the rest of Erika's friends celebrated together.
You and Koyanagi stood at the entrance of the school as you watched Erika and her friends walk off into the sunset with happy faces. You sighed as you sat down on the stairs with your arms resting on your knees as Koyanagi grinned at you.
"So, are you sure she can handle it?" She asked you.
"No, she'll definitely crumble time after time...but..." You said as you remembered the bold statement she made.
"I WILL BE YOUR GREATEST STUDENT THAT YOU'VE EVER HAD!!!" Those words echoed through your mind as you grinned.
"She'll fight through hell and back to succeed. And how can I say 'No' to that?" You grinned as you watched the most hopeless student in your opinion, walk away with acceptance from you into your class.
"Alright, we have a meeting to attend, L/N-sensei. Let's go." She said as you simply stood up and undid your top button as you walked the other way. "H-Hey, where are you going!?" She yelled at you as you just waved while walking away.
"I'm going home. I'm tired." You said while heading out the school.
"You're not a student!" Koyanagi yelled in frustration before huffing and smiling while putting her hand on her hip. "Well I guess you can't help it..." She smiled as she knew you were smiling. "He hasn't seen a student like that in so long..." She thought while walking back inside.
As you exited the school you walked in the opposite direction of Erika and her friends as the beautiful sunset had a gentle breeze to go along with it, and today you encountered a student you thought you'd never find in your life time...someone who reminded you of...
"...Hm? Why can't I remember?" You thought as you just shrugged. "Well, who cares? I'll go for a drink." You said while walking down the empty road, grinning unintentionally as you couldn't get that image of Erika's determination out of your head. "Do your best, Erika Fujoshi." You thought while laughing.
