Chapter~7

(This was hard to write due to our beloved Robin's recent passing. Rest in peace you wonderful man.)

After spending the night with his curly haired Prince boyfriend, Louis, sadly, had to leave for work.

"But Lou..." The younger boy whined, sitting up on his bed with crossed arms and a pout, "I wanna cuddle some more."

"So do I, H. But I have a job." The blue eyed boy reasons, "today's Friday anyway so we can cuddle as long as you want starting tomorrow till Sunday."

Though reluctant, Harry nods his head and asks, "kiss?"

Louis chuckles.

"Of course."

He strides over to Harry's bed, pressing a hand to the Prince's cheek and connecting their lips, a warm feeling instantly erupting in the pits of their stomachs.

"Hey Harry you-OH MY CREAMPUFFS!"

The two boys pull away, startled from the voice and groan when seeing Niall standing by Harry's door, mouth agape.

"Nialler!"

"Oh fudge, sorry! I thought Louis already left!"

"Clearly I haven't." Louis points out, walking to the door, "but I am now. I'll see you lads later!"

"Bye Lou!" Harry chirps.

"Bye Haz!"

"Bye lover boy!" Niall smirks.

"Bye bread!"

And with that, he's gone.

"So..." The blonde servant boy trails off, a smug look on his face seeing his best friend smiling to himself, "what happened last night?"

"Nothing happened."

"But your face-"

"Can't a guy look happy for once after getting together with his boyfriend?"

"...yeah but-"

Harry cuts him off again, "what were you going to tell me before barging into my room?"

"Wha- oh yeah!" Niall says aloud, immediately dropping the topic of his best friend's love life to inform him of some news, "Zayn is leaving today and your dad wants you in his study, says he has something to tell you."

"Oh, okay." Harry nods, dismissing his blonde friend so he could freshen up, curiously wondering what his dad has to tell him.
______

Before Louis could leave the castle, he bumps into a familiar raven haired boy and halts to a stop, "Zayn? You're leaving?"

"Yeah bro, can't stay long. There's this thing that's happening in a few days in all the kingdoms. Something to do with like, an alliance? I don't know, I mainly stay away from those stuff unless I'm needed."

"And because all you think about is Liam."

"True."

"Does he know you're leaving?"

"Yep." Zayn nods, "he made me feel so good last night and I'm disappointed it'll be the last time we'll be doing it again in awhile."

"...you did not just tell me you guys had sex last night."

"We did."

Louis face palms at his friend's casual bluntness and waves the thought off, "Well, good luck! Tell my mom and sisters I miss them and I'm hoping to visit when I can. Bye Z."

"Bye Lou."

They hug for a few seconds before waving goodbye to each other, Louis once again sprinting back to his and Liam's shared cottage to get ready for work.
______

After saying their farewells and waving goodbye to each other, Harry watches Zayn's carriage leave the castle grounds before quickly heading up to his father's study, knocking on the big wooden doors lightly.

"Dad?"

"Come in, Harry." Robin calls from the other side of the door, watching his son enter the room with a sigh, "go on and take a seat."

The young Prince nods and does as told, then cautiously asks with a nervous voice, "is there, uh, something wrong?"

"N-no, not quite." The King slowly walks behind his desk and seats himself down on his chair, taking in a deep breath before asking, "Harry, Louis makes you happy, right?"

The question has Harry tilting his head in confusion, "yes...why do you ask?"

"It's just-...you're turning eighteen in five months, yes?"

"Yeah..."

"And you know how every year royals from different Kingdoms come to ours in hopes we could make an alliance with them?"

"Yes. Dad, where are you going with this?"

Robin sighs, and says with much distaste, "King Cowell is one of the royals coming to Donshire."

Harry gasps in shock, "no."

"Unfortunately, yes."

King Cowell, the only none-royal who rules over the land of Mundesy along with his daughter, Princess Averie. After the former King and Queen passed from an unknown illness, he, being the King's most trust worthy companion in the castle, immediately took over the throne.

The man has done quite a few acts that make other kingdoms scared of him and his reign. For instance, he treats his people like slaves. As if not helping them out with what they do for a living is enough, he makes them work more than they should.

His wife died after giving birth to their daughter yet he doesn't bother finding a queen, saying he's "better off ruling alone" and that "having someone by my side would only be a drag".

"Out of all the royals wanting to make an alliance with us, why must he be one of them?" Harry says exasperatedly, "what could he possibly want with our kingdom though? He and his kingdom have everything they need in Mundesy! Food, clothing, medicine- I don't..."

"Harry..." Robin finally speaks up after his son trails off on his rambling, "that's exactly my concerns. I'm afraid he might be looking for someone to be with his daughter to rule Mundesy together."

"WHAT?! No! Please say you're joking!"

"H, calm down-"

"Dad I- no! I'm gay for crying out loud! Doesn't he know that?!"

The king stands up from his desk and is by his son's side in a second, placing his hands on both sides of his shoulders, "Harry, come on, please just calm down."

The young Prince whimpers, remembering the unforgettable event that happened a couple of years ago while he was visiting the kingdom of Armundy.

~Flashback~

"Hey Harry! Let's go play in the garden!" A young Ed calls out, running out the castle grounds with little Cara.

"Sure!" The curly haired young Prince nods in excitement, going to follow his friends outside when he was stopped by a girl wearing a tiara.

"Hello! Wanna play with me?" She says, smiling hopefully.

"Uh... I'd love to but um-"

"Pleeeaaase!"

Harry didn't want to be rude so he suggests, "why don't you come with me? I could ask my friends to let you join with us. Is that okay?"

The smile on the girl's face falls and she immediately crosses her arms, "no! I want to play with YOU. Nobody else."

"Averie, what seems to be the trouble here?" A man approaches the two kids, eyebrow raised at the curly haired boy.

"Daddy, he doesn't want to play with me!"

"And why is that?"

"Sir, I-" Harry goes to explain but gets cut off.

"It's KING Cowell to you, little boy."

"O-oh, my apologies, King Cowell. And um, my friends are waiting for me to play with them outside-"

"But I want to play with you!" Averie whines, "daddy! I want to play with him!"

Harry thought King Cowell would tell her to just join him and his friends, but instead he stares him dead in the eye with a stern look, "listen here, boy. If my daughter wants you to play with her then you WILL play with her, got it?"

"But-"

"No buts! Your friends can wait. Now, run along." He waves them off, Averie happily grabbing Harry's wrist and leading them both to the painting room.

He met eyes with his friends who came back in to know why he's taking so long and just sends them an apologetic look before getting dragged away from them.

~End of Flashback~

"Harry, I'm not saying he is going to do that. I said he might. Maybe I'm wrong."

"Then why did you tell me that?"

"Because... I received word that he recently went to Dovardeen in hopes Prince Calvin could marry his daughter but he declined and now he's officially cut off all ties and trades with the Kingdom."

That's the thing Harry's so afraid of. You can't say no to him. Especially if it involves something with his daughter. If Princess Averie wanted something, he'd give it to her. She's a spoiled brat.

"Look, H. Let's just hope he doesn't come for that reason, okay? I disagree with it just as much as you do."

"O-okay." Harry sniffs, hugging his father warmly before excusing himself to his room.

He really needs Louis right now.
______

Louis had just finished tending to a costumer when James suddenly approaches him with a smile, "hey there, Louis."

"Oh, hi uncle James. Need me to do something or?"

"Yes, actually." The older man nods.

"Okay, what is it?"

"I want you to head back to Wolfordton to visit Jay and your sisters AFTER you deliver these cupcakes to this address." He says, handing the blue eyed boy a basket filled with cupcakes and a piece of paper that had the address written on it.

Louis' eyes widen and he gasps in shock, "really?!"

"Yeah, really. You've been working hard, Lou, and I know you miss your mum and sisters so, go on ahead." He smiles, reaching into his pocket and handing Louis an envelope containing five hundred pounds.

"You're the best, uncle James! Thank you!"

"Anytime, favorite nephew. Now, go deliver those freshly baked goods before they go cold."

Louis nods, a huge grin on his face, "on it!" And with that, he's dashing out of the bakery in pure excitement, not wasting another second because once he's done with this task, he'll be able to go home and hug his beloved mum and sisters.

He checks what's written on the piece of paper and hums to himself, "better start running."

And he's off.
