Harry's P.O.V
It's finally Monday.
The day I dreaded ever since my mum told me the exact day of the Alliance Agreement.
The day in which I'll have to face the man who terrifies the living crap out of me.
The day that almost makes me want to cry again (though I don't think I can anymore since I've been balling my eyes out the whole night) because, till now, my blue eyed boyfriend has not shown a single sign of where he is or where he could be.
Was he avoiding me?
Did I do something wrong?
Was it something I said?
Millions of questions clouded my thoughts that I had to be snapped out of it by my blonde servant friend shaking my shoulder lightly.
"H-huh? What?"
Niall shoots me a weak smile before saying, "King Robin wants you to be by his side when King Cowell arrives at our castle."
Oh.
"A-alright." I stutter out, checking my appearance one last time in front of the mirror in my room then nervously begin walking to the castle's entrance.
My dad immediately sees my presence once I reach the bottom of the stairs and gestures for me to stand next to him, leaning down to whisper in my ear, " I promise you, son, that if ever King Cowell has any intentions with you, I will quickly object and put a stop to it, alright?"
I nod to him slowly, his words calming my nerves the tiniest bit.
The loud galloping and whinny from a horse catches me and my father's attention, our eyes averting to the carriage that had just pulled up on the steps of our castle.
One of our guards approached the vehicle and opened the door, the person stepping out has my heart beating a million times a second.
It's him.
And oh. He isn't alone. Because the moment he's out of the carriage, another figure steps out. That figure being his daughter.
The Cowells have arrived.
My dad puts on his best smile that doesn't come off as a grimace before greeting the two royals in front of him.
"Welcome to the Kingdom of Donshire! It's lovely having you both here today."
I internally scream when I notice Princess Averie looking me up and down like some predator targeting its prey.
"Ah, well if it isn't the young Prince Harry."
Shoot. He's talking to me.
"Good day, King Cowell." I greet him, not making any eye contact with the man cause if I did I might possibly have a panic attack.
"Well, now that you're here, why not we take this to my study, yes? There we can begin to discuss our Kingdoms' beneficial needs over a cup of tea."
I glace at my dad and shoot him a thankful smile. He obviously knew I wasn't comfortable with talking to the man I absolutely loath and fear.
"That sounds lovely. Averie?"
"Yes, father?" She replies, not even looking at him but keeps her eyes on me.
"Why don't you and Harry here get to know each other better while I take care of business?"
...wtf
"Sure!"
Last thing I see before getting pulled away by a bratty princess is my dad staring at me with sympathy evident in his eyes.
Oh goody. I internally groan.
This is definitely gonna be a long day.
______
After being dragged by the wrist into the living room, I had to sit and bare with listening to Princess Averie's yammering. I could see Niall giving me sympathetic looks from where he stood in the far left corner of the room (my dad assigned him to stay with us, if ever we needed anything) while I stared at him helplessly, wanting to hang out with him instead of the Princess sitting beside me.
"Harry? Hey! Are you listening?"
Ugh...
Be nice. My inner Prince tells myself.
"Hmm? Oh uh, yes?"
"Really?!" Averie squeals.
What did I just say yes to?
"Wait, what did you say again?" I nervously ask.
"I asked if you were willing to marry me." She says with a huge smile.
My eyes almost bulge out of their sockets.
"Oh! Um, I-I was actually referring to your question about me listening or not."
The smile once on the Princess's face falls, "oh. So you don't want to-?"
"No." I answer plainly, "I'm sorry for getting your hopes up, but if you haven't yet heard, I'm gay."
"Maybe I can change tha-"
"I also have a boyfriend."
Who I haven't seen in the last two days. I think to myself, making my heart clench with pain and worry.
"Pff, he's nothing compared to me," she begins to boast about herself, "tell me, is he a good kisser? Bet not."
Stay calm, Harry.
"You could do so much better."
Stay. Calm.
"Heard he's just a peasant boy working in a bakery. How sad."
Deep. Breaths.
My hands balled into fists as I closed my eyes, refraining myself from blowing up.
"You're an idiot for falling for him. Can't you see? He's only with you for the throne! The power! The riches! Hah, he could even be cheating on you behind your back, and you wouldn't know cause you're an oblivious fool!"
"SHUT UP!!!" I yell loudly.
Don't listen to her.
She's only trying to get under your skin.
But the last statement...
Was Louis... cheating on me?
"Haz, breathe, c'mon mate." A voice says beside me. I turn my head to find Niall staring at me with concern.
I try to answer him but then realized I was having a hard time taking in oxygen.
"You're having a panic attack, H. Calm down."
Calm down?
How?
My mind began racing with thoughts as the pieces slowly fit together.
Maybe that's why Louis is gone.
He's busy cheating on me with some guy or girl or whoever the frick he's with right now.
Someone who isn't me.
The last thing I hear is Niall shouting my name before everything goes black.
Oh shite. Things are about to get intense y'all.
Sorry if this was short. I'm trying to get this book to have more chapters he he.
