Epilogue - Part 1

Chase sighed as he calmly walked up the isle. The wedding hasn't officially started yet, but he was instructed to stand up at the alter as he waited for Bree. He smiled at the thought of her.
They had been planning the "wedding of the year" for almost a year now. Chase had proposed a year ago today. They started planning about a month after the engagement, though. He smiled as people seated themselves along the sidewalk on chairs. They had to book this place a year in advance.
So much had happened since then. Chase took over the company for a short period of time because of his father's injury. Donald had swiftly taken the company back the second the final cast was removed. Chase had signed on as an official CEO to the company, as well. He and his father were now business partners. Bree was Chase's permanent assistant as well, but today, she would become so much more than that.
The second the press heard of their engagement, they went wild. Questions about Bree's previous involvement with Marcus, and with Chase, were spinning out of control. Chase finally had to stage an interview to set the whole world straight. Greenberg Enterprises went under... Fast. They were outraged to say the least, when Davenport Industries released the bionic chip a day before they were able to. They were now a thing of the past, just as Marcus had said Davenport Industries would be.
Bree smiled as she looked at herself in the mirror. Chase had spared no expense on this wedding. He insisted that she get the most expensive dress. She shook her head as she replayed their conversation. They had ended up getting into a fight over it. She wanted nothing more than a small wedding, with any kind of white dress. But, because of the hype the new couple had generated, they were expected to have a large wedding. None the less, Bree loved her dress. She hoped that Chase would, too.
"Bree!" Briley squealed as she ran in. Her sister shut the door behind her and walked up to her. Bree and Chase were getting married in the middle of Times Square. Bree was getting ready at the hotel they were having the reception in.
"Briley!" Bree said, mocking her sister's previous tone. Briley rolled her eyes playfully before stepping back to see her sister's dress.
"You look gorgeous. I can not believe you guys rented out Times Square for this!" Briley beamed as she took her sister's hand to examine the ring Bree had been wearing for a year now.
"I know. I was just kidding when Chase and I were talking about different places to have the wedding. But Chase took it to the next level." Bree explained. The two had talked for hours about where to have the wedding, when Bree finally came up with the idea.
"That's a story for the news. Now, are you ready to get married?" Briley asked teasingly. Bree laughed and nodded as she took her sister's hand. Briley lead Bree out of the room and out into the reception area. The workers were shoving chairs into their spots as Bree was lead out of the hotel. Briley stopped her as they reached the doors of the hotel.
"Briley, we can go." Bree teased. Briley rolled her eyes.
"I know. I just wanted to say good luck. And..." Briley left off. Her sister ran over to the window and glanced outside. Bree rolled her eyes as her sister ran back.
"Does he look okay?" Bree asked with a smile. Briley nodded.
"As great as ever. I have one more surprise for you." Briley said. She spun around and reached out to pick up two chains off the table. Bree laughed as Briley pulled out a half heart necklace for herself and one for Bree.
"Thank you, Briley." Bree said as she clipped the necklace around her neck. Briley did the same before turned to look at her sister.
"There, now you're ready." Briley announced. She snapped her fingers as they opened the doors, signaling for the band to play the wedding march. The band started up the song as everyone turned to look at the two sisters making their way down the isle. In the front row, sat the Davenport family, Adam, and his wife. Adam's wife, Caitlyn, held their baby in her arms. Brett stood next to Donald Davenport, carrying their own newborn child. Bree smiled over at her new family as Briley lead her over to Chase. Bree turned her attention to her soon to be husband to see she had taken his breath away.
Chase smiled brightly as he caught Bree's glance. He knew she was trying to take all of this in. This huge wedding, that was. He knew that this had been a joke, having their wedding in Times Square. But seeing her now, he knew they had made the right choice. He was making sure she would never forget this moment. The moment that they could officially never get rid of each other.
"Hey." Bree whispered as she looked to Chase. She handed her bouquet to Briley before she walked over to stand before Chase. He smiled and took her hands in his.
"Hey." He whispered back with a smile. The couple had decided to go along with the usual tradition of not seeing each other the night before the wedding. Bree was ecstatic to see him again. It had felt like forever since she had last seen her fiancé.
"We are gathered here today, to witness the wedding between Bree Henderson, and Chase Davenport." The minister started.
"If anyone is against this marriage, please speak now or forever hold your peace." The minister continued. Bree glanced around the crowd as they waited for someone to stand. Bree felt like they wouldn't be able to get married without some kind of trouble. Soon enough, someone stood up.
"I object." He yelled. He slowly made his way to the alter, a black hoodie covering his face. Bree frowned in confusion while Chase smiled scoffed.
"Marcus." Chase hissed. Bree's eyes widened in realization of who stood below them. Marcus pulled the hoodie down to reveal himself.
"I don't think you two should be getting married." Marcus began. Chase sighed and dropped Bree's hands. He walked forward until he stood just in front of his arch nemesis.
"Marcus. Leave." Chase said simply. Marcus shook his head.
"No. You two should have been done over a year ago. Bree doesn't deserve to be happy, and neither do you." Marcus ranted. Chase felt his eyebrows raise as he watched four security guards make their way towards them. Chase smiled and pointed to the idiot in front of him. Marcus spun around and hit into the chest of one of the security guards. The four guards carried the smaller boy away before Chase turned back to his future bride.
"Sorry about that." Chase whispered to Bree. She laughed lightly. Knowing that Chase would have fought him to the death to get him to leave.
"Now, for the vows." The minister said. Bree smiled and took Chase's hands in her own.
"I, Bree Henderson, take you, Chase Davenport, to be my husband, and my one true love. I will love you till the day we part, and even beyond that. This, here today, is the day I have been looking forward to since the moment we met. And I couldn't be more happy to be standing up here with you. I don't know what I would do without you, and I love you with all my heart." Bree said happily. Chase smiled as Bree let her tears fall down her face.
"I, Chase Davenport, take you, Bree Henderson, as my wife, and the love of my life. I will love you as long as we both shall live and beyond that point. I will never let you go ever again. I know what we have been through together might have been enough to scare other girls away, but you stayed. And that's even more than I could ask for. I'm so happy to be standing up here with you, and I couldn't ask for anyone better to be sharing my life with." Chase finished. Briley handed her sister a tissue, remembering the way she had cried at her own wedding. The minister smiled.
"Now, for the exchange of the rings." The minister said. Chase and Bree turned to look to Leo, the best man, and the current holder of the rings. Leo smiled as he handed the rings to the almost married couple.
"I give you this ring as a symbol of our promises to each other." Bree said happily, remembering their conversation so long ago. Chase laughed and brought Bree's ring over to her.
"I give you this ring, as a symbol of our promises as well. This will remind us of everything we have been through, and everything we will endure together." Chase added. Bree smiled and let her hand fall back to Chase's.
"Without further a due, I now pronounce you, husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." The minister finished happily. Bree laughed as Chase walked over and wrapped his arms around her waist, lifting Bree into the air and spinning her around before resting her on the ground yet again, and placing a kiss to her lips. She smiled and let her hands rest around his neck. They pulled away to hear the cheers of the crowd. Bree looked up to see black and white balloons falling from the roof of the hotel. She laughed.
"Did you plan that?" Bree whispered to her new husband as Chase turned to see the balloons. He smiled and nodded.
"Just for you. We're only here for a little while anyway. I thought I would go all out." Chase said happily. Bree laughed and threw her head back.
"Do we have to talk about work right now? We just got married." Bree whined with a smile. Chase laughed and shook his head.
"Exactly, we just got married. Which means something even better." Chase stated. Bree frowned in confusion.
"What does it mean?" Bree asked. Chase smiled.
"That you are officially more than my assistant. You're my wife, and I'm never letting you go."
