05: Little Brother, Big Trouble
(You can listen to the song while reading this. It's fine if you don't want to though.)
You arrived home and thanked the driver. While you were entering your house, you heard a voice yelling. ''Shut up, Mom! I don't care what you have to say! I said that i DON'T want to see that stupid movie and now you idiots are making me go!'' His voice became louder at the 'DON'T' part.
You sighed. Jeremy, your little brother, was having his usual tantrum, surprisingly obnoxious for an eight year old, but you had it. ''Jeremy! Would you mind keeping quiet for once?! Jesus!'' You yelled back.
''You can't tell me what to do, you stupid sister! Mom, do something!!'' He screamed. When nothing happened, he just began yelling again. ''UGH! I HATE THIS STUPID FAMILY!'' Jeremy crossed both of his arms while looking away, completely angry.
''Well, i'm sorry about that but nothing is going to change. Now would you mind keeping quiet? And stop calling your parents 'idiots', it's very unpleasant when you're the one who's actually the idiot here.''
Silence. You breathed a sigh of relief.
'Finally...' You thought, 'Now i can be in my room in peace...'
You walked upstairs and went to your room. Once you were in your room, you closed your door. You grabbed your favorite book, (Favorite Book) and began reading it. You were relaxed for a couple of minutes, eating Potato Chips you bought on school. You heard a knock on your door. ''Come in!'' You said, marking the page where you left off.
Your Mom walked in and sat down on your bed. This wasn't good. She would usually come to your room for a favor. ''So, sweetie... Your Father and I are going out for lunch tomorrow with someone important. We need you to take Jeremy to his Karate Class at Tang Soo Do. Would that be a problem?'' She stared at you intently, hoping you would agree.
'Yes.' You thought but you can't just decline your Mother's request. As much as you hate your little brother for being such a spoiled brat all the time, it doesn't change the fact that you're his big sister and would take responsibilities for being one. You love your parents, just not as much as your little brother, Jeremy. ''No, I'll take him. Don't worry, Mom.'' You plastered a smile on your face.
Your Mom smiled. ''Thank you, honey. Jeremy will wait for you after school, then you will walk him to his class then back home. We could call the limo driver, but he's on his break.'' She said.
''It's alright, Mom. I can take him.'' You said. ''Alright, good night, honey. Sweet dreams.'' She left, closing the door behind her. You slightly groaned. Now, you need to take your stupid brother to his Karate Class-- Wait, didn't Marco take Karate? Maybe you would see him! You smiled at the thought then placed your book back to the desk, dozing off to sleep after you did.
♥Timelapse 'till Morning♥
You slowly opened your (E/C) eyes, getting adjusted to the bright sight before you. The Sun was shining through the curtains. ''It's so bright... This is why i don't like mornings...'' You mumbled, turning over with your back against the sunshine.
''(Y/N)! Come to eat breakfast!'' You heard your Mother call you. You groaned and slowly got out of the bed and got ready for the day. When you got downstairs, you smelled bacon, eggs and fried rice. You sat down and ate your breakfast with your family.
When breakfast was over, you headed towards Echo Creek Academy and met up with Marco and Star. Then, the three of you went to class. You ended up getting A+ on your Math Homework.
'Thanks, Marco.' You thought.
Once school had ended, you went outside to pick your brother up.
♥Marco's Point of View♥
When i got out of school, i saw Jeremy. My archenemy, my nemesis, you get the idea. I walked over to him. ''What are you doing here?'' I said, glaring at him while resisting the urge to punch that spoiled brat.
He just laughed. ''If i came here to humiliate you, i would've done it already but too bad, i'm waiting for someone else.'' He sneered.
I smirked, ''Your babysitter?''
Jeremy looked furious once i asked him that. ''No! My sister, you idiot! I assumed even someone as stupid as you would know.'''
My hands were balled up into fists. ''Listen here--'' I began, but was interrupted when someone else called Jeremy's name.
''Jeremy! There you are! I was looking all over for you!'' A voice piped up behind me.
''I was just right here. Just relax, you sound so annoying just like Mom.'' Jeremy groaned.
I turned around and saw (Y/N)- Wait, what? There's no way she's Jeremy's sister! She's so nice, thoughtful, pretty and- How is that even possible?! ''Oh, hey Marco.'' She said. She seemed pretty uncomfortable at my look of shock. ''I see that you two know each other.'' She began, trying to break the awkward silence between the three of us. I was still busy wondering how they were related.
But then it hit me. The first day that (Y/N) came here. She introduced herself as (Y/N) Birnbaum and Jeremy's last name is the same. That's why i felt like as if i heard that name somewhere. I never would've thought that (Y/N)'s last name would be the same as Jeremy's. What's more is that they're siblings!
''Wow, you know this idiot?'' Jeremy asked, pointing at me.
She glared at him with a threatening look. ''That idiot you're talking about happens to be my friend. Now, you're going to shut up and I'm going to take you to your Karate Class unless you'd rather not go.'' She was angry, i could hear it in her voice.
''What?! You can't do that! Mom and Dad--'' He began but (Y/N) interrupted him.
''Mom and Dad aren't here. So shut your mouth and let's go.'' She said. She turned towards me and looked down. She could tell that i was upset. ''I'll... see you later, Marco.'' Then she left with Jeremy who was scowling beside her.
I waited for Star. When she came, we got on my bike and rode towards Tang Soo Do.
And for the first time ever, i wasn't looking forward into seeing (Y/N) again.
