Chapter 3

Lord Zane made Aphmau confused. What did he mean by "You've done everything wrong, you just don't know it"? Lord Zane let go of Aphmau's chin, letting her back up. He's crazy, he's got to be crazy. Aphmau has never met this guy in her life, or has she? After all, she doesn't really remember much. The first thing she does remember is waking up in a forest surrounded by trees. Since it was a forest, of course, there would be trees everywhere.

"Guards, take her to my house," Lord Zane announced, stepping away from the iron bars. He headed towards the door. "I'll deal with her later. Right now, I have some business to do."

Laurance and Garroth nodded as Lord Zane left. Quietly Garroth unlocked the iron door that was keeping Aphmau from getting out. There was no escaping now. There would be no way that Aphmau would be able to get past both Garroth and Laurance. Aphmau thought Garroth had seemed nice. Not long after the door was opened Laurance stepped in, grabbing Aphmau by the arm and practically dragged her out of the tiny cell.

"You know you could've just asked me to follow you," Aphmau announced. She knew she could not escape both of the guards. They stepped outside some sort of guard tower. Looking up Aphmau saw that it wasn't that tall.

Laurance gave a soft growl, but it was too quiet for Aphmau to hear. Sighing Aphmau walked on. Laurance held her wrist tight, making sure she couldn't escape. He knew what happened to the last person who did escape. That person is now locked up, for good.

"We're almost there," Garroth whispered to Aphmau, and just to her. Garroth didn't know what Laurance would do if he caught Garroth talking with the prisoner. "And before you ask, I don't know why Zane wants you. I should though."

Aphmau was puzzled. She didn't understand why Garroth was helping her, or why he thought he should know why Lord Zane would want her. Maybe he was really close to Zane. No. It seemed like Laurance was the closer to Zane than Garroth. Just the way Laurence seemed pleased every time Zane walks in the room. It is weird. Aphmau remembered that Garroth had called Zane his brother.

A few minutes later Laurance stopped in front of a giant cobblestone house with black curtains covering the windows. They were so dark that Aphmau could barely see what was happening inside. Maybe she didn't want to. Both Laurance and Garroth stayed beside her as they entered. Lord Zane sat on a black cushioned chair, his hand on his chin, letting his head rest on it. Smirking he stood up.

"Aphmau," Zane started. "You have no idea how long I've waited for this. Now, in one years time, you will be my bride."

Aphmau was confused again she didn't tell Lord Zane her name. She couldn't remember if she told Garroth or Laurance. The thought of being his bride sickened her though, why would anyone want to be his bride. He seemed rude, although good looking. Aphmau knew not to judge a book by it's cover.

"Good, you're actually cooperating," Zane let out a small chuckle. "Guards take her to the guest room, that is where she will stay."

Both Laurance and Garroth nodded once again. Laurance took hold of Aphmau's hand. Leading her up the stairs and down the hall, to a room that no of them had seen the inside of. When Laurance opened the door all Aphmau could see was purple, purple walls, purple everything but one thing. The curtains, like the ones blocking the sun from getting in to the downstairs area.

Laurance let go of Aphmau's hand and left. Leaving her and Garroth alone in the guest room, which would slowly become her room. The purple room.

I hope you guys enjoyed and sorry for the long wait.

Anyways bye
