Chapter 2: An Offer Not to Refuse
Trisha leaned back in her desk chair, putting the tablet down on the desk. It was now 4 a.m, two hours until her shift ended. Trisha had earlier remembered that she also brought her phone with her, so she decided to research about the theater and its animatronics on there. Trisha now knew all of their names, roles in the theater, the history of the company that ran the theater, and where the animatronics were located. This gave her a great idea of where the animatronics would be around, and how they would most likely act. She was now fully aware of them, and was sure she would her through the rest of the night smoothly.
Only one other animatronic had tried to get into the office, and that was Chica. She went away after Trisha closed the door on her. Now, Trisha was bored. Trisha then unlocked her phone with the password she gave it, and turned in her music app. She then started to play the music on the app, turning it up full blast. The song playing was one of Trisha's favorites, Gambling Man. She then started to sing along with the song, not noticing the man starring at her from the left doorway of the office.
After the song was over, Trisha chuckling a bit as it did, she thought about her singing. Trisha considered herself a decent singer, though her friends told her she had a beautiful singing voice. She then noticed a man standing at the left doorway of the office, turning around in her chair, and pointing her gun at him in response. "Unless you want a bullet in your head, I suggest you go back to your place." Trisha said sternly, looking up at the tall man. "I mean you no harm, ma'am." the man said, his hand in front of him in defense. "I only came down here to hear your beautiful singing."
Trisha still didnt trust the man, so she kept her gun pointed towards him. The man then stepped into the office, causing Trisha to pull the gun back a bit, so he wouldn't grab it. "You're Trisha, correct?" the man asked, looking down at the young woman. "How did you know my name?" Trisha asked, her eyes still locked onto the man. "I overheard the owner talking about you to himself." the man replied, holding out his hand towards Trisha. "My name is Marionette. It's a pleasure to meet you Trisha."
Trisha didn't shake Marionette's hand, suspecting him to drag her away and kill her if she did. "I know who you are, and I ain't stupid enough to trust you." she said, glaring up at Marionette. Marionette chuckled, putting his hand back behind his back. "I understand your hostility and suspicion towards me, since my children have tried to 'dispose of you.'" Marionette said. "However, I came by the office to offer you something. I want to offer you a job here that pays more than the job you currently have.
I was wondering if you would like to perform here at the theater. You have amazing talent, and are a very beautiful young lady. One that shouldn't be working as a low-ranking security guard." "How can you get me a job as a performer if you're not the owner?" Trisha asked, slightly interested in Marionette's offer. "I can convince the guard to do so by recording you sing." Marionette suggested. "I have a recording device in my pocket. If you would like to work here as a performer, I would he happy to help you out."
Trisha was still sceptical of Marionette's intentions, wondering if he was trying to gain her trust. However, interested in the offer, Trisha decided to play along. "I would like to try out, but on one condition." Trish said, starting to lower her gun slightly. "And that condition is?" Marionette asked, tilting his head slightly. "You let my friends audition as well." Trisha replied, crossing one leg over the other. "I'll bring them by tomorrow, and of they are good enough for you, you let them perform here too. I'll be more comfortable performing here if they are."
Marionette stayed silent for a moment, and the smiled under his mask. "It's a deal." he said. "Bring your friends with you tonight, and I'll let them all audition." Trisha nodded in agreement, and then jumped when she heard a loud chime sound through the theater. "It looks like your shift is over." Marionette said, looking at the tablet on the desk. The clock on it said 6:00 a.m, providing evidence that Trisha's shift was over. Trisha then turned off the tablet, stood up from her chair, and put her gun back in her jeans pocket, along with her phone.
"DAMN IT!!!!" a voice familiar to Trisha yelled out in anger. It was obviously that blue-haired bastard, Toy Bonnie, as Trisha had researched about. He was surely mad that he didnt kill Trisha, embarrassing himself and damaging his image, which he disposed. Trisha smirked in the direction of the outburst, glad that she outdid the guy. "My children can be a bit unstable at times." Marionette said, sighing a bit. "Apparently!" Trisha laughed, walking out of the office, Marionette following close behind.
Once Trisha got to the entrance of the theater, and saying goodbye to Marionette hastily, Trisha went out to the car she had drove to work. Her and her friends shared the car, but Carly usually drove it. Once Trisha got in the car, Trisha's phone rang. She looked at her phone, and saw that Carly was calling her. Trisha then answered the phone with a slight smile, and a "Hey, Carly." "So, how was it?" Carly asked, wondering his Trisha's first night went.
"It was......interesting." Trisha answered, starting up the car. "I'll tell you about it when I get to the house. We all may also have new jobs too." "Huh? What do you mean?" Carly asked, confused on what Trisha had just said. "I'll talk to you about it when I get home, okay?" Trisha asked, laughing a bit because of Carly's persistence. "Alright, see you then." Carly said, then hanging up.
Trisha then put down her phone, and pulled out onto the quiet and empty road, the car's headlights lighting it. She thought about what had happened at the theater as she drove, and how she was going to explain it to Carly while not including the times she was almost killed. This was going be the biggest thing Trisha ever had to explain, bit still couldn't wait to tell her friends about her night, and the job offers they got.
