Attempt to Heal

"...a problem."
Shinichi didn't like how that sounded, and especially KID's cheery voice was making him feel sick to the boot in combination with this message. For a second, there was nothing audible but the early summer breeze outside the well furnished kitchen, and Shinichi was growing antsy.
"KID?" he asked again, into the void, fully expecting the thief to have just vanished on him as he favored to.

"I'm here..." came the absentminded reply, now next to him. Jerking a little, the sleuth's head whipped over towards the origin of the voice... presumeably sitting now at the same table as him, across of Shinichi, on a chair.
"As far as my information reaches..." Kaito began slowly, a hint of suppressed uncomfortableness in his undertone, "...I need to find a way to convince him you're not as harmful as he ought you are. Or-"
"Or?!"
"...or, I will have to try and find a different cure. I am not even sure if he can take back this curse... I will need advice on this matter, as much as it pains me. Meitantei?"
Shinichi perked up, silent, yet obviously awaiting the thief to continue his talk.
"I will need your permission to... experiment with cures."

Shinichi sputtered, shaking his head almost immediately, wincing at the movement it caused to his infected eyes. He should refrain from too sudden movements in the near future.
"No way in hell am I letting you experiment on me, KID."
"Would you rather I ask one of the other officers? You know as well as I do that none of them would keep my visits secret, god beware agree to this."
"And what makes you so sure I would agree? I would be stupid to let an international criminal pour chemicals down my eyes, wouldn't I?"
Kaito breathed out fake wounded sigh, lip pushing up into a soft pout. Geesh, why did he have to be so complicated.
"I promise I will be careful and everything will be completely tested. You know I'm your only chance to get rid of this right now, because only I have somewhat of an idea what this is."

Torn between decisions, Shinichi favored silence than an answer. In all honesty, what did he actually have to lose? He was already blind, and if KID's words proved to be honest, this wasn't going to change unless a cure was found.
"...fine..." the sleuth agreed with clenched teeth, clearly unhappy about this arrangement, "but I'd like to be warned about any and all methods of your 'cures'... Is that clear?"
"Crystal!"
The melodic voice of this white nuisance was beginning to get on Shinichi's nerves and yet, the nauseating feeling inside his stomach confirmed his discomfort over making such a deal with KID.

"What's your plan going to be?"
KID shuffled a little closer to him, standing right in front of him now. Shinichi noted, he could grab him if he reached out now.
"...I'd like a sample of the fluids coming from your eyes. And... I'd like to make myself a picture of the severety."
The sleuth tilted his head, nearly feeling KID's breath on him. It was unusual to have him so near and it made Shinichi feel somewhat nervous.
"...I'll have to change bandages in the evening. You can take a look then, if that pleases you."
"Certainly."

KID turned around in a swift movement and elegantly marched his way to the door.
"I'll return with someone in the evening. For now I'll leave you in peace~"
"Yeah yeah..." the sleuth huffed before getting up himself. There wasn't much he could do, so he may as well get some rest upstairs in his bedroom.

As sunset began to dive the surrounding areas into a golden glimm, Shinichi began to feel a presence lurking within his house. He hadn't heard anything and yet he could sense it; almost instantly the identity of the intruder made itself known to him.
"Good evening, Meitantei~ I've brought a friend!"
"KID."
Shinichi wasn't particularly pleased to see the thief, he had been listening to an audio book so far and wasn't keen on being disturbed.
"How late is it?"
"Almost 8pm."
Sighing, the sleuth sat up in his armchair, disappointed to be rid of the amazing view of his book collection. The library just wasn't the same without his vision.

The moment he shifted to stand up, he heard some pretty frightened footsteps jump in an attempt of backing away. Pausing, he raised his head to listen.
"Who is with you, KID?" he pried quietly, receiving the answer in the same second.
"The same gentleman who cursed you. However... there is somewhat of a language barrier."
Shinichi raised an eyebrow as he turned around, facing the source of the thief's voice.
"While I do speak basic latin and know a few words here and there, it is far from enough to properly communicate. I was wondering, would you be able to assist?"
"Not in particular," Shinichi retorted with a sense of confusion, "Latin isn't my strengh. But I do own a few dictionaries which could do the trick."

KID strutted past him to search in his bookshelves while Shinichi remained quiet yet attentive. He didn't like being unable to see the phantom thief. Said one finally seemed to have found a book- the satisfying noise of one flipping through pages was audible before KID was heard trying to attempt a more difficult sentence in broken Latin.

"He isn't dangerous, please heak him."

Pandora tilted his head, eying KID confused and Shinichi frightened. He wasn't quite sure what to make of it and didn't quite understand Kaito either, and yet he knew it was something important. A little simpler, KID retried it.
"Heal," he commanded in Latin, quietly pointing at Shinichi who raised expectingly his head. Once again, Pandora didn't move, head slowly lowered into a guilty body language.
He seemed almost... sad.

"That's... not quite fortunate."
KID sighed, causing the sleuth to pipe up again.
"So this is out of question? What did I expect, it's just an infection, it'll be gone in two weeks."
"I beg to differ."
Kaito walked past Shinichi again towards Pandora, taking his hands and making him look up at him.
"Why not?" he asked again in Latin, and Pandora avoided his eyes like the plague.

"He seems to understand me... or at least what I want of him... but I am at loss to why he isn't reversing it."
Shinichi snorted, unamused. "Maybe he is sick of being ordered around by you." "Hey-!" "In any case," the sleuth interrupted him again, "I feel like I deserve at least an answer as to how this happened. You know more than I do, KID, and it's time for you to share it."

KID frowned, eyes darting back and forth between the incapacitated detective and the frightened Pandora.
"...I cannot disclose this information. My apologies, Meitantei."
