You were watching Adventure Time when you heard a loud knock at the door. You groaned and rolled off the sofa and walked towards the door without checking your appearance. You opened the door to find Dan standing there with a very apologetic look on his face.

Dan's POV

Y/n opened the door. She stood there hair unbrushed wearing joggers and a t-shirt. She was still the most beautiful girl I've seen but I'm the one who caused her to be like this; to not care about herself. "I'm sorry". I said almost crying. "Y/n I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. Please let me explain everything." I begged her. Y/N looked very confused. She paused for a second before opening the door allowing me to come in.

I closed the door behind me and followed Y/n into the living room. I sat down on the sofa and she sat down on the other end of the sofa. She grabbed the remote and put the tv on mute. She turned to me and paused for a second. "What's this about Dan?" She questioned flatly. My mind went blank.

I couldn't help but focus on her beautiful eyes. They were a beautiful shade of (e/c) with flecks of different colours in them making them more unique. "Dan?" Y/n asked again with more concern in her voice this time . I took a deep breath as I felt the lump in my throat.

Your POV

Dan took a deep breath and began to speak. He kept his head down and fiddled with his wristband. "Y/n.." He spoke. "I'm sorry for ignoring you. I'm sorry for pushing you out of my life. I never wanted that to happen. It's all my fault. I saw the photo on tumblr of you and Phil in the rain. I thought you guys were dating. I should've just asked you but I thought you wouldn't want to talk to me if you had phil." Dan said not looking up once. I paused thinking what to say.

"Dan it's not entirely your fault. I saw the photo on tumblr too. I saw what the phandom said. I didn't want things to be awkward between us so I tried to avoid you but I guess I just made it worse. I'm sorry." Dan finally looked up at me. "So is everything okay between us now?" I asked smiling at him. "Not completely." Dan said. My smile dropped instantly.

"Y/n please don't move back to your old home!" Why did he want me to stay? I'm nothing special. "Y/n, I need you, Phil needs you, Becky and Aimée need you." He spoke. He needed me? Why? I don't even care. He needed me. That's a good enough reason to stay.

Dan didn't drop his gaze from me once. After a minute of silence I finally spoke. "Okay" I said. "I'll stay!" Dan was smiling again. This is the happiest I've seen him. It made me happy that it's me who put the smile on his face. Phil said he's been unhappy for so long and that he's been missing meals. I finally made him happy again. Maybe I could help him eat normally too. "Thank you Y/n." He said pulling me into a hug.

After a long time of hugging (about 2 minutes) I pulled away. I was about to get up when Dan grabbed my arm pulling my back down. "There's one more thing." He said. I looked at him waiting for him to continue. He paused. "I-I broke up with Jessica." He said looking pleased with himself. "Oh why?" I asked a little confused. Of course I was happy but why did he break up with her? I mean she was annoying as hell but she was so pretty. "I never liked her really." He said then paused. "I've always had a crush on someone else since the moment I met her."

Oh. He likes someone else. Not me. Probably someone who's pretty, smart, funny, has money and definetly not a fangirl. It feels like my heart just broke again if that's possible. I don't even deserve Dan as a friend what makes me think I deserve him as more than that? I didn't speak or look at him.

"Y/n..." He began to speak again. I looked at him. "I've had a crush on you since the day you moved to London and we played video games and ate pizza. I really like you Y/n. Like more than a friend." I opened my mouth to speak. "Oh." Was all I said.
