I Still Believe
"Hmph. Using magic on my daughter. The nerve."F/n had had to sit down on the huge royal chair, Y/n trying to calm him down.
The duke came in with the news. "Your Majesty, we've gone over every inch of the castle. It appears they have fled."
Enraged, F/n jumped up and got in his face, screaming, "THEN SEARCH THE ENTIRE KINGDOM! I WANT THEM FOUND AND ARRESTED IMMEDIATELY!"
The duke stumbled backwards, terrified, as F/n slumped back down, his hand on his head. "Keep in mind that I'm an old man and my heart can only take so much...please, please, please tell me this is the boy you intend to marry."
Y/n held onto Elliot's eyes, smiling gently at him. "All the stars are shining brighter, Dad. Just like you said."
He jumped back up in a cheerier mood. "Then what are we waiting for? Fetch the florist! Bake an even bigger cake! The wedding is tonight!"
-
As Elliot got ready for his wedding, the door slowly creaked open, an elegant voice calling out to him. "How lovely you look, my dear."
He looked behind him, gasping lightly. "Stepmother?"
Lady Tremaine walked in, smiling cooley with a hint of evil. "It appears you were right, Cinderelliot. The princess does want to marry you. And marry you she shall." She turned her head to the door. "André?"
Nothing.
"André!"
Two feet showed, then a waist, then the face.
"Or should I say 'Cinderelliot'?"
He really did have everything Elliot had; a perfect replica. From the dirty blond hair, to the perfectly round face and bright cheeks, to the small feet, it was a carbon copy. He looked at the real Elliot and his mother, unsure.
Elliot's eyes widened, horrified at the lengths Lady Tremaine was willing to go to. "What have you done?" Narrowing his eyes, he added, "Y/n won't be fooled."
"The princess will be perfectly happy."
He turned his attention away from her and to his stepbrother, eyebrows knitting together. "But will you, André? Will you be happy?"
"I...want what you had," he replied, half monotone, half uncertain.
"But do you even love her?"
"I..."
"Love!" the old woman scoffed. "Look where it's gotten you!"
One wave of the and Elliot was transported into a pumpkin, getting covered in pumpkin guts, his suit torn. Jaq and Gus were taken with him, both panicking.
-
Lady Tremaine glanced down at Lucifer with a wicked smile. "Lucifer, make absolutely certain they don't come back...alive."
He gave her a Cheshire smile.
"Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo."
-
"Huh?"
"Cinderelly! What's happened, Cinderelly?"
"Cinderelly!"
The pumpkin mutated grotesquely into a deformed carriage with a horse enslaved in the front. In the driver's seat was Lucifer, turned into human. Elliot took one look at him and said in confusion, "Lucifer?"
His response was a hysterical cackle as he cracked the whip, the horse running without being able to control himself. "Hiya!"
Through the dark forest they rode, Lucifer still howling and whipping the horse.
"We need to stop this thing!" Elliot decided, looking around.
"Right away, Cinderelly," Jaq agreed, pulling up a fallen Gus.
"Okay, okay. Chop-chop."
They climbed around the stalks in search of a way to stop it. Elliot poked his head out of the window, shouting, "Gus! Can you reach the pin?"
"Zuk-zuk!"
While he climbed down, Elliot body slammed into the pumpkin, breaking a giant hole in it. Jaq climbed on top of Lucifer's hat, unnoticed.
When Lucifer saw the fat mouse unscrewing the pin, he made a reach for him.
"Gus-Gus," Jaq whispered to himself, then decided to slide down Lucifer's hat, temporarily binding him.
"Gah!" Lucifer threw him off. By some miracle, he landed on one of the vines.
"Jaq!" Elliot cried as Gus gasped. Hearing him, Lucifer picked him up and brought him closer to his face.
"Gus!" He climbed out and along the side of the pumpkin. "Hang on!"
As he was being dangled over the former cat's mouth, Elliot pulled himself onto the pumpkin. "Lucifer!" he yelled, gaining his attention. "Let. Him. Go." Where the heck was Bruno when you needed him?
Taking his demand literally, he dropped him, letting out another rage inducing laugh.
"Gus!" He reached out for him, missing, but he was able to grab one of the stalks and hold himself steady. Before he could fall, Jaq grabbed his arms and pulled him up.
After all those years of being nice, he was done. Breaking off one of the stalks that held Lucifer, he fell, tumbling into the water as he went.
"Bad kitty!"
Lucifer pulled himself up, now a cat again. "Meow," he said angrily.
-
The horse broke away, but kept running, as the carriage kept moving after him. Elliot looked up and noticed an unavoidable cliff. "Jaq! Gus!"
They ran up to him. He picked them up and dropped them in his suit pocket. Jumping on the horse, he yanked on the reigns, letting the pumpkin smash as it went down all of those rocks. Green magic oozed out of the rotten bits.
Bells sounded from the distance. Elliot looked up and saw the castle.
"Now what are we gonna do?" Jaq asked, worried.
Without hesitation, he replied, "Well, I'm not gonna miss my own wedding," leading them to cheer.
-
OR
The entire kingdom had come to the royal wedding, the room filled to maximum capacity as everyone chartered in excitement over having a new prince for the princess to love and to help rule over them.
André stood, still disguised, at the alter, looking up the aisle nervously, waiting for Y/n to come down. He looked at his hand, biting his lip, knowing neither of which were really his. But in it was the seashell.
He looked back up when Y/n came down the aisle with F/n holding her by the arm, hiding the seashell in his pocket. Once she got to the alter, he sat down next to the duke and Y/n looked at Elliot with only love, making him feel all the more guilty.
"Dearly beloved..."
Lady Tremaine peeked out, her calm excitement showing on her wicked, rectangular face.
As the minister continued, the duke leaned in and whispered to the king, "So far, so good, Your Majesty, hmm?"
He glanced at him out of the side of his eye. "She's not married yet."
"...to join this man and this woman..."
Y/n smiled at him. He tried to smile back, despite his guilt, but froze in place when the princess leaned in close and whispered, "My one and only Elliot."
When she looked away, he looked down at the floor, knowing that everything was wrong. He did not love her and she did not truly love him.
"...in matrimony."
Lady Tremaine learned in closer, her smile wide and thin. "We're almost there..."
"Elliot, do you take this woman as your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I..." More than anything, André wanted someone to love him for him. Not for anyone else. Especially not his stepbrother.
Lady Tremaine looked over at the door, horrified when he heard that recognizable voice.
"Please, you don't understand! I must get inside!"
"Just say it! Say 'I do'!" she hissed.
"I..."
-
The mice climbed inside of the guard's pants, making them let their guard down and letting Elliot run past them and into the wedding hall.
-
"I..."
Figuring he was nervous, Y/n grabbed his hand, gasping when she felt nothing. Horrified, she looked back at him.
"...don't."
Elliot stopped running, surprised, suit torn and hair a total mess. Everyone watched, gasping, while the minister fainted.
Instead of angrily marching down to take back his woman, Elliot stood at the foot of the alert, stunned. "André?" He really thought he would go through with it with the promise of a life of luxury and riches. Although he was too surprised to do anything, for him, this was the greatest surprise he could have walked into: he got the girl of his dreams and André had finally understood what true love looked like.
André looked down at him, surprised to see him, but also still guilty. "Elliot."
Meanwhile, Y/n was looking back and forth between them, confused as all heck.
Lady Tremaine, with Dominique behind her, angrily marched out in front of everyone. "You spoiled little ingrate! I've given you everything you've ever wanted, André!"
"But I want someone to love me for me!" he argued as he watched his mother seethe in rage.
F/n, overcoming his shock, yelled for help while the duke cowered away. "Guards! Guards! Seize that woman!"
"Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!"
Green magic burst from the ceiling in a huge swirl. She turned the first group into chickens, then pigs, then rabbits.
Y/n looked up at the green at the ceiling, horrified. Lady Tremaine was cruel, but this...this was just too far.
"And now for you." She pointed the wand at André, who tried to back away.
Dominique leaned over her shoulder, grinning like a madman. "Ooh, turn him into a toad, Mother!"
"Stop!" Elliot ran in front of him and held his arms out, finally able to defy the evil woman. "No more!"
'Dang, does this feel good.'
"Ha! Even better!"
'Not as good.'
"Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!"
André held onto Elliot's shoulders, shrinking back, while the real Elliot looked at it with dignity.
"No!" Y/n grabbed her sword from the sheath and ran in front of the boys, holding it out so that the magic bounced off of it.
Her green eyes widened as the magic came towards her and her oldest son. "No!"
It teleported them into the dungeon, both as toads.
-
André took Elliot by the hand and stepped towards Y/n, smiling at her for real this time. "This is the real Elliot. Your one, true love."
Their hands pressed against one another, intertwining, which André took as his cue to let go. Y/n, feeling it this time, smiled at him, ever so relieved that there was still love between them. Elliot looked back at her, giving off his own sweet smile.
"It's you."
André walked down the stairs, where Lady Tremaine had dropped the wand and bent over to pick it up. Everyone still watching, all horrified, he aimed it at himself. "Bibbidi...bobbidi...boo..." One touch to his chest and his clothes turned pink again, his curly red hair sprouting up, face becoming his again.
F/n leaned back in his chair, head in his hands."I can't take much more of this..."
Elliot approached, a little hesitantly at first. "André?"
André, not making eye contact, handed him the wand, looking down, ashamed of all those years leading up to that very day, remembering that to Elliot, only the day before, he had selfishly torn his deceased father's suit without any remorse.
Taking it and noticing how upset he looked, Elliot slowly put his arm around his stepbrother and gave him a small hug. "Thank you."
Pulling away, he held the wand in the air. "Bibbidi-bobbidi..." He looked at André, who smiled at him.
"...boo."
White magic came shooting out, Fairy Godmother reappearing out of it. She stretched backwards and all of her joints out. "Goodness. I certainly am stiff."
While F/n looked on blankly, André approached him nervously and tapped on his shoulder. "Your Majesty?" He held out the seashell back to him. "I don't deserve this..."
F/n looked at him, smiling gently, then took him by the hands and closed them around the small seashell. "Everyone deserves true love."
Presently surprised, he brightened at him, looked at it, then hugged him around the neck.
"Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!" Fairy Godmother turned Elliot's suit back to normal and fixed his messed up hair. He looked down at it, smiling happily.
"Thank you."
He took Y/n by the waist and spun her around. They could finally live out their lives without worry is being torn apart again.
Fairy Godmother came in between them for a moment. "Would you like me to return you to your former lives?"
They both turned, confused. "Former lives?" they asked.
"Why, yes. You see, you two...well, you were already..."
But they had tuned her out, looking deep into each other's eyes at this point.
"Oh, nevermind," she chuckled.
F/n stood, demanding, "Well? Does anyone want to marry my daughter?" He looked at the alter, already knowing the answer.
Have faith in your dreams and someday,
Your rainbow will come smiling through
Elliot, still looking into her e/c eyes, answered, "I do."
Have faith in your dreams and someday,
Your rainbow will come smiling through
The minister temporarily woke up. Looking at his book, he announced, "I now pronounce you husband and wife.
From above, Jaq and Gus threw down pink petals, cheering while André offered them a smile from his place by the king. Elliot picked her up again and spun her twice, her veil blowing beautifully behind her.
No matter how your heart is grieving -
If you keep on believing
- the dream that you wish will come true
Placing her down, Y/n nuzzled up to him. Pulling away, he leaned down and kissed her.
Ah ah ah
And they lived happily ever after...again!
The end.

"We both had dreams," they answered, "but there is no one to interpret them." Then Joseph said to them, "Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams." - Genesis 40:8

Elliot:
Somehow I know I will find a way
To a brighter day in the sun
Somewhere, I know that she waits for me
Someday soon, she'll see I'm the one
I won't give up on this feeling
And nothing could keep me away
'Cause I still believe in destiny
That you and I were meant to be
I wish on the stars as they fall from above
'Cause I still believe, believe in love
La la, la la
La la la, la la la
I know what's real cannot be denied,
Although it may hide for awhile
With just one touch, love can calm your fears,
Turning all your tears into smiles
It's such a wondrous feeling
I know that my heart can't be wrong
'Cause I still believe in destiny
That you and I were meant to be
I wish on the stars as they fall from above
'Cause I still believe, believe in love
Love can make miracles change everything,
Lift you from the darkness and make your heart sing [Your heart sing]
Love is forever when you fall
It's the greatest power of all!
'Cause I still believe in destiny
That you and I were meant to be
I wish on the stars as they fall from above
'Cause I still believe, believe in love
La la, la la
La la la, La la la
I still believe in love!
La la la, la la
La la la
I still believe, believe in love
