-SO MANY REQUESTS!! I am currently very busy Planning a special schedule for my December uploads (More info at the end), and a new book I'll be dropping soon, so stay tuned-

"You're leaving us? Dick! You can't!"

Dick rolled his eyes at his drama queen brother. At least Jason wasn't doing this in public, like last time. "This is my first sleepover with the team, so don't blow up my phone, and DON'T come to the mountain."

"Yeah yeah." Jason agreed, reluctantly. "Hey, did you save room for him?" He held up the little stuffed elephant on the dresser.

"Pfft? Peanut? I'm way too old for that." Dick rolled his eyes. "And seriously, get out of my room! I'm not wearing pants, it's so weird!"

Jason snorted and turned to leave. "Okay hairless, let me know when puberty hits and you need a razor."

"YOU'RE SO WEIRD!" Dick shouted after him.

Dick finished packing, and dressing, and headed downstairs to the cave. He wanted to get there a little early to mess around with his friends. Bruce was in the cave when he got there, along with Tim and Damian, who were arguing about some misplaced samples.

"Hey Dick, are you heading out?" Bruce called, standing up.

"Uh huh." Dick skipped by, eager to get past the guards of responsibility. Sadly, his overprotective hover-father had other plans.

"Did you pack pyjamas?"

"Yep." He said impatiently. Bruce did this whole thing every time he left the manor.

"Clean clothes, underwear?"

Yeah."

"toiletries?"

"Got 'em."

"Utility belt?"

"Two."

"Meds?"

"All."

"Did you pack peanut?"

This gave Dick pause, he glanced sharply between Bruce and his two brothers. Finally, he sighed, exasperatedly. "Bruce, I'm thirteen years old. I don't need to sleep with peanut anymore!"

"Alright, if you say so." His father agreed hesitantly. "Have a god time with the team, and I want your phone charged and turned on the whole time!"

Dick sprinted towards the zetabeam. "Got it! Bye! Bye Tim! Bye Dami!"

Bruce watched him go, just wondering... he left the cave and headed upstairs. He pushed Dick's bedroom door open and glanced around. The room was tidy, but a little stuffed elephant was noticeably missing from the dresser. Bruce smirked a little, and pulled the door shut.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The team was piled in the girl's change room to get ready for bed. The girl's change room was bigger, nicer, and had become a popular post-mission hangout spot.

Dick was reaching into his bag to grab his toiletries pouch, he felt the fabric and tugged it out. He felt horror fill his stomach as he pulled the little stuffed elephant out of his back pack. He thought he but Peanut in the second pocket!

"What's that?" Artemis laughed, confused, rubbing on her face clenser.

"Nothing! I don't know?" Dick dropped Peanut on the bathroom floor and scrambled for his toiletries bag. He tried to keep it cool, but felt his face starting to burn.

"Oh, Peanut." Wally exclaimed. "Yeah, Rob used to carry him everywhere."

"Seriously, I don't know how that got in there." Dick said firmly.

"Aw, It's so cute!" M'gann picked the toy up and smiled down at it. Dick made a sudden grab to snatch it back.

"Sorry, just. Childhood stuff." He shrugged. "Kinda privet."

"Why'd you bring him then?" Artemis asked. "Do you still sleep with him or something?"

"No! I didn't pack him, it was an accident!" Dick justified. "One of my brothers must have done it as a joke, I haven't slept with him since I was like, nine." He lied, stuffing the plushie back in his bag.

This was a nightmare come true. There was no way that Wally and Artemis would let him forget this...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hey Dick, how was your sleepover?" Tim asked as Dick dragged himself into the foyer.

"Oh, it was fine."

"Did Peanut have a good time?" Jason teased.

"What do you mean?" He asked anxiously.

"Well, He was noticeably missing from your bedroom..."

"Oh, that." Dick dug in his bag and pulled Peanut out, thinking fast. "Who's idea was that?  Great prank sneaking him in my bag."

"Oh, someone else put him in there?" Tim asked.

"Yeah, I hope you all got a good laugh. out of it, but I don't need Peanut anymore." He dropped The stuffed elephant on the side-table.

"Don't need peanut?" Jason laughed. "You?"

"Yeah, he's just an old toy! I don;t need to sleep with him anymore!" Dick lied. "You can throw him in the attic for all I care."

"If you don't care, why not just throw him in the garbage disposal?" Jason asked, picking up the toy. He was trying to call Dick's bluff.

"NO!" Dick stopped himself. "You're going to break the disposal! Then Bruce will ground both of us!"

"Dick, are sure you want to get rid of Peanut? You've always-"

"Tim, I don't need him anymore! I'm a teenager, I don't need to sleep with a dumb toy anymore!" The youngest brother insisted.

"Fine, Dick, if you really don't want Peanut anymore, I'll throw him in the attic." Tim said, taking the toy from Jason.

Dick watched Tim leave, he forced himself to look away and dragged his bag upstairs to his room.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hey Dick, are you ready for patrol?" Bruce nudged his youngest son's door open.

"Uh, sure, I'm just unpacking." Dick reported. He tugged a hoodie on to head to the cave.

Bruce glanced around the room, noticing that a plush elephant was still noticiably missing. "Dick, where's Peanut?"

"Why does everyone care?" He grumbled. "I'm thirteen. I don't need him any more."

"Are you sure?" Bruce asked in disbelief. When Dick had first came to the manor, he carried Peanut everywhere he went. He would squeeze the toy whenever he got scared, or missed his family.

"Yeah! I had Tim throw him in the attic. I'm too old for that kind of thing no."

"Okay, if you say so... Now come on downstairs and get into costume."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For once, Dick wasn't furious about having to go to bed early after patrol. He slipped out of costume and ran upstairs, past his room, and to the stairs to the attic. The boy stumbled up into the darkness with his eyes squinted.

That's the thing, Dick didn't want to get rid of Peanut. He might not carry the toy everywhere he went like when he was little, but he didn't want to get rid of him.

Dick threw the lids off the first few boxes and began rumageing through them. Tim wouldn't hide Peanut, would he?

Suddenly, the overhead light switched on.

Dick spun around to see his father, cowl pulled back, leaning against the wall with his hand on the switch, and a vaguely amused look on his face.

"Bruce! I was-" Dick's mind couldn't find a single excuse to use, he stared at his father, mouth slightly agape. "I just-"

"Here." Bruce pulled his other arm out from behind him. He strolled across to his youngest son and placed thestuffed elephant in his hands. "I thought you might miss him."

"I didn't miss him, I just-" Dick huffed a little, staring intently at the floor. "You've seen how the others are! they treat me like a little kid, all the time!" He complained. "I have to go home early to go to bed while everyone else is on patrol. I don't want then thinking that I..."

"I can not tell them if you want." Bruce proposed.

"Hmm?" Dick asked, looking up at him.

"Well, Your brothers will think that Peanut is still up here in the attic, and you can do whatever you want with him."

"Really?" Dick asked, looking back down at Peanut.

"If you want." Dick thought about it for a minute and nodded, still looking down. "Alright, But you have to go downstairs to bed, you have school tomorrow."

"...Okay." Dick stood up, still clutching Peanut. He leaned against Bruce's side, and the two of them walked downstairs.
