Comic Practice

I decided I wanted to practice a bit before I started my graphic novel/webcomic for Seminar, so I did this. Originally, I just drew the panels (I wanted to see if I perfected straight lines or slanted ones.) but I liked the one with slanted lines enough to fill it in. The pacing isn't great, because I created the panels before the story, but I have it a shot, anyway. Talia doesn't talk, by the way. She's not mute, but she doesn't say much.

Also, I'm sorry, but I won't have any requests done today, at least. Friday's are usually the days I draw most, but my sister is celebrating her birthday today, and her only request from us is to stay away from the living room, and, by extension, the computers.

That being said, our art studio is on the second floor, so I can still do traditional art. Would anyone like their request to be traditional? I can do pencil drawings, watercolor, color pencil, copic markers, line art (I'll outline the copic, watercolor, and color pencil drawings as well, but this version will be cleaner, "fancier," and will probably also have a simple background of some sort, but will not have shading.), and ink drawings (similar to the pencil drawings, just with cross hatching instead of the gradient-type shading in most pencil versions).

If you want your request to be done traditionally and you want to be particularly nice to me... Watercolor is the most fun option for me.

I'll also try to get a fair quality image of the drawing, if you choose for it to be traditional. I'll see if I can scan it into the computer rather than just taking a picture. If I can't scan it, because my printer is terrible, I'll get you a picture of it at 3:00 (the time when the best natural light is available in my room) one of the days this weekend.
