Heyyy everyone! It's Vera here and I had forgotten that Valentine's Day was today so here's an OS which I penned down within 20 minutes, so pls ignore any mistakes and I hope ya'll enjoy it!😅💖

Karan twisted and turned in his bed, not being able to sleep. His mind was too preoccupied with the happenings of the past two days that he just couldn't seem to shut his brain and doze off. 

"Monami-Mr. Mahajan-Aneesh" were the three people he'd been thinking about subconsciously ever since they'd come to the village for Sanjana's wedding. Ever since Aneesh had entered their lives, problems in between him and Monami kept arising. 

Karan was sure of the fact that Aneesh and Mr. Mahajan had joined forces to cause trouble in between him and Monami. He also knew how emotionally vulnerable his Monu was and how the two were taking advantage of the fact. 

"Mera aur Monami ka rishta bhale hi kuch dinon pehle baana ho, par humara rishta kamzoor bilkul nahi hai...Larhege but kabhi bhi alag nahi hoge" he murmured to himself as he sat up on his bed, "problems sort out karne chahiye, pyaar mein ego ki koi jagah nahi hoti" he heard a half-asleep Faizi mumble before he turned the lamp off and went back to sleep. 

Karan hummed,"kal woh namuna bhi yahan par pounch jaiga, aur usske rehte toh koi bhi problem solve hone se raha!", Karan pulled the covers off of himself and slipped on his shoes. 

He checked his phone,"11:17pm"  ~ As per the fact that it was pretty late at night and the rooms were all close together, he tip-toed out of there quietly, making sure to not make a sound. He turned the flashlight on and looked for the room he saw Monami enter a while back, he couldn't afford to enter the wrong room now, he knew it would lead to a whole new drama. 

Karan finally reached a door he recognized and prayed it would be the one Monami had gone into, he slightly turned the doorknob and peeked in, after shining the flashlight in there, he immediately spotted Monami's black suitcase, her neon scarf attached to the top handle. 

He sighed a breath of relief and whispered, "Monami! Monu!", but she didn't budge, he held his breath and carefully entered the room and straightaway went to Monami's bed, "Monami!" he quietly uttered as he shook her a little while shining the light onto her.

Monu turned her head, took the earphones out of her ears and opened her eyes, "Karan?!" she mumbled as her eyes widened before she shot up into a sitting position. "Tum yahan kya kar rahe ho?!" she mumbled to him. "Shshhhhhhh" Karan pointed towards a sleeping Suman Ji and Chitra on the other side of the room. "bahar chalo, batata houn" he said to her in a low voice and she nodded. 

Monami soundlessly stood up and grabbed her shawl from the closet, "let's go" she whispered to him after wearing her shoes. 

They snuck out of the room and quietly left the guesthouse, "Karan? Aab baatao, iss waqt tum yeh kya kar rahe ho?" Monami asked him. He slipped his hand into hers and pulled her a little closer to himself. "koi dekh lega" she gasped as she looked around, making sure they were alone. 

Karan: Toh dekh le! Tum meri girlfriend ho na, phir darr kis baat ka? Koi galat kaam thodi na kar rahe hai, he smirked. 

A smile automatically formed on Monami's face but then she remembered that they had some issues to resolve before they could proceed normally. She tried hard to wipe off her smile and said, "Karan, yahan par hum aise behave nahi kar sakte...." she averted her gaze from his face. 

Karan: Accha Monami, listen na...he gently held her chin and turned her head towards himself. "I'm sorry na, uss din jo bhi hua woh ek misunderstanding thi...and I swear I didn't mean to hurt you" he sincerely confessed as he recalled the events from two days back, a strip of hurt formed in his eyes.  

Monami instantly noticed it and cupped his cheek, "I'm sorry too Karan, mujhe bhi tumhara point of view samajhna chahiye tha...I just got so caught up with what Aneesh and Papa said that I refused to think of it any other way", she held her ears, "sorry milega?" she pouted. 

Karan smiled and pulled her into a warm and tight hug, wrapping his arms around her, he promised himself that he would protect his ball of sunshine from the manipulative people she considered closest to herself.

Monami and Karan walked down the road of the village, stealing glances at each other every few seconds and smiling to themselves."how did I become so lucky?!" they thought, feeling beyond grateful to have each other in their lives. 

The air was chilly and the path mostly dark except for the bright and clear sky lit with a blanket of stars and the moon shining brightly, illuminating the dark black sky. 

Aap ki tareef mein kya kahein
Aap humari jaan ban gaye x2

Aap hi rabb aap imaan ban gaye

Aap humari jaan ban gaye

Monami held onto Karan's arm, resting her head on it. "Thank-you Karan, meri life mein aane ke liye" Monami said as she held onto him tighter. Karan planted a kiss on her forehead, "thank-you for lighting up my dark world Monami" he replied. 

"We've come so far na Karan, humesha larne se ek dusre ki care karna- Kitna kuch kitni jaldi badal gaya hai na hum dono ke beech, from just acquaintances to lovers!" Monami gushed as she recalled their initial encounters. Karan just smiled, something that he rarely used to do but being in love with Monami had changed that, with her near him, a smile on his face was always present. 

Qismat se humein aap humdum mil gaye
Jaise koi dua ko alfaz mil gaye

Karan wrapped his arms around her waist, hugging her from behind and her hand instinctively went over his hands. Karan buried his face in the crook of her neck while both of them closed their eyes, letting the quietness and love they felt, settle in.

Soocha jo nahi woh haasil ho gaya
Chahoun aur kya ki khuda de aab mujhe

They swayed slightly, Karan left a kiss on Monami's neck before turning her around to face himself. Karan and Monami gazed into each other's eyes, trying to convey the amount of love they held for each other. They joined their foreheads and uttered, "I love you" in unison. 

Rabb se mila ek ayan ban gaye

Khwabon ka mere mukaam ban gaye

Their heart fluttering, they interlocked their hands and ran to the nearest, open grassy field. Monami spread her shawl onto the grass and Karan and her laid on it, gazing at the stars in the clear sky. 

Monami kept her head on his chest while he held her close, "look a shooting star!" Monami exclaimed as she pointed towards the bright streak in night sky. They both wished for the same thing, their togetherness and happiness for one another.

Karan sneakily fished his phone out of his pocket, "11:58pm"  the time read, he rose up and pulled Monami to stand in front of him as well. "I love you Monami, I love being with you and talking about you, thinking of you...You've become so special to me in such a short span of time, and you'll forever be that" he confessed sincerely.

Harz ruvai meri farz davayi meri
Ishq hua mujhko

Monami thanked her lucky stars for bestowing such a blessing upon her, he wrapped his arms around her waist while the brilliance of the moonlight illuminated his perfectly chiseled jawline as it inched towards her.

Main to sajda karun unko
Harz ruvai meri farz davayi meri
Ishq hua mujhko

With a shy smile formed on her face Monami wrapped one arm around Karan's neck and caressed his cheek with the other, she leaned forward and connected their lips for a soft yet passionate kiss. "Happy Valentines Day, my someone special"  Karan whispered before she jumped into his embrace once more. 

Oohhh...oohhh...ooo
