25- Switch 🌙
Grian stood alone in the void. He didn't know if he was glad Voice had left or not, at least it was some kind of company.
What am I thinking? Grian shook, I really have gone insane.
He continued to walk for a few more minutes, he could hear sound and feel things. He felt a blade in his hand, was he still somewhat connected to the outside world?
What's going on out there? He thought, but all became clear when it felt like he was stabbing someone. "Voice!" He screamed. He needed to understand what was happening. "Hm?" Voice ducked into his line of view; "What's happening out there?" Grian pushed it away. "Moons getting revenge," It smiled and faded away. Grian grit his teeth and started brainstorming.
I never willingly got out of here myself, and if Voice says I'll be here forever then there's no way it's sending me back, He paced anxiously. "Ya could've at least told me who they were stabbing!" Grian screamed at nothing.
Grian's heart rate was high as he was stressing to find a way out. He sat with his legs crossed and his head in his hands, occasionally banging his noggin as if it would make him think faster. All he could think about was leaving, apologizing to everyone, stopping Moon and fixing everything instead of coming up with an actual escape plan.
Come on! I can't think of anything useful! I'm so dumb, why does my brain work like this?! Why can't I stay on track for once?! Moon is out there killing my friends and I'm sitting here!
Killing, He thought. I killed someone once. Xisuma.. Ugh! Why am I bringing this up?! Oh, wait!
"I have the admin panels! I'm the admin I can leave!" Grian cheered, straightening up and trying to pull up the panels. Please work..
The small square boxes appeared in front of him.
"Aha! Yes!" He clapped and started to work. Grian wasn't super use to this yet, but teleportation was basic stuff. He typed in the commands to tp him to his base. His body warped to nowhere. It was obvious he moved but it was still the same void.
Agh! I really can't leave. I cant teleport to the outside world, I'm stuck here forever! Grian hit himself in frustration. An idea sparked.
I can't teleport to places, but can I teleport to people? He snickered, Only one way to find out.
Something grabbed his shoulder, "What are you doing?" Voice asked politely. Grian glared, "None of your business," he jerked his shoulder away. It glanced at the panels. "Leaving so soon?" It frowned, "But this is so fun! I get to watch you, you get to freak out, and Moon does whatever they wish! I don't want it to end!"
"Fun for you! I don't wanna be here, I didn't want any of this to happen, and for your information; I am not freaking out!" Grian poked it, Voice stood emotionless, "You were desperately making a plan to escape, had an elevated heart rate, and you were hitting yourself, but of course I don't know what freaking out looks like because I'm just a monster to you." Grian stepped back and Voice disappeared.
Alright, time to get out of here, Grian turned around to be met with it knocking him to the ground.
"I'm not letting you leave! Moon assigned me the job and I will not fail!" Grians arms were trapped under the force of the blank figure, it was unfair that he couldn't touch it. "Not fighting back? I can turn physical if you really want to show me what you've picked up over these months!" Voice let go and Grian hopped away. "Really?" He questioned, but Voice was gone. Grian sat for a second, then got trampled again. "Nope!" It giggled, pulling Grians arms behind his back. Grian winced, If I can't touch it, then that means if I try to, it'll go through, I can just pull myself out, Grian screamed as it felt like Voice was dislocating his shoulders, "I can hear your thoughts, dimwit! I won't let you get anywhere near me as long as I can use your body as a puppet! I'm much stronger than you!" It laughed, but Grian knew that observation was kind of stupid. He launched his foot through Voice's leg, and used his force to push himself backwards through its body.
Voice looked at him strangely, "The hell was that?! Does that even count?! That doesn't even make any sense!" Grian brought back out the panels, typing in the commands to the first person he thought of. Voice realized and launched at him, but he was gone before it could reach him. Voice sat there in disbelief, it failed it's job. Was it useless now? Moon would probably discard it. It had succeeded all before and one disappointment could be a disaster! It was trapped here. It could only go Grians head or the physical realm, so the real world was its only option.
Grian panted, searching the area for Voice but it didn't seem to follow him. He was in a clear meadow, tall grass and blue skys. He hadn't seen the Sun in so long, but the Sun was nowhere. There was ruins everywhere. This is Mumbos mindscape? It's beautiful. Much better than mine but I shouldn't get jealous.
"Hello? Mumbo?"
Grian? He heard a loud, familiar British voice.
"Mumbo! It's me, Grian! It's a long story but this is the real me, but I guess I'm just a voice in your head for you," Grian was so happy to talk to his friend again, even if Pearl had told him they didn't care about him. The wax versions of them all seemed off, but he never could put his finger on it.
Are you ok?! Grian we haven't seen you in ages!
"I'm fine! Plus, don't over exaggerate; you saw me during exile."
What? No I didn't! Mumbo responded with a confused tone.
"Whatever, we'll sort that out later. I'll tell you everything and you gotta help me to stop- uh- gotta stop me! My body is not mine right now. It's confusing! I'll just explain,"
