20- Changes 🌙

Grian was in the other ground cave thinking about what Pearl had said to him. Going over it in his head a thousand times trying understand if it was right or wrong while his favorite music disc played in a jukebox he crafted with his only diamond.
It's not like he had a use for that diamond.
Grian tapped on the ground to the beat, which also helped him concentrate.
If I slip behind Docs back while he visits I can steal his host, then book it to hermitcraft. Then I'll-
His head shot upwards, when did he start planning a way back to hermitcraft?
"Hello!" Grian felt a tap on his shoulder, but the voice wasn't one of the hermits.
It was Voice.
"Nice to see you gain!" It laughed and launched its self on the ground next to Grian. Did it ever calm down? Grian refused to look at it.
"How are your new friends?" It leaned closer to him in curiosity.
"Not new," He rolled his eyes, he didn't like Voice. It was annoying, controlling, manipulative and the reason he's here. Voice shrugged.
"Well how are they? You should thank me for bringing them to you!"
"I would never thank you for anything," Grian sensed Voice's mood change.
"Rude," It stood up, "You're so ungrateful of everything. I do a nice gesture to you and you don't even thank me. I bet you would have forced yourself to tolerate me if you weren't changing."
"Changing?"
"You haven't noticed? You're more hostile and annoying. You've become more serious and crave revenge."
Grian did his best to ignore it, maybe it would go away. Voice never usually went away on command.
"Could you leave me alone?"
Voice chuckled, "Nah, not until you give me a report on how you feel about your boatem crew."
"That's invading my privacy, can't you just search my thoughts?"
Voice shook it's head, "I can only hear what you're thinking in the present."
Grian glared at the blank figure.
Should he really tell it everything?
Well, he hated it. He just wanted it to go away, so there's not really a point, Boatem wasn't here.
"Scar is suspiciously quiet, he seems a lot more comfortable around the other members then me.
Mumbo doesn't seem like the jokester he was, perhaps I scared him, he acts a lot more sophisticated.
Impulse is nice, but it's like he's being held against gun point. Like a lower class.
Pearl seems like the leader, I thought Mumbo was. I guess not. She has these mode switches, she didn't act herself when she was talking to me yesterday. Like she was trying to guilt me but make me think I was right, or she was right, and she just might be. She had a point, I feel a little dumb for believing it but I trust her."
Silence.
Grian looked up, Voice was still there, Grian flinched when it clapped it's hands loudly.
"Well thanks buddy! I won't tell them anything!" Voice disappeared a second later.

Though Grian had a full conversation with the figure, any thing could have stayed in his mind but what really made a settlement in his brain was him "changing". Was he really?
He was more hostile. He had assaulted Mumbo at the meeting.
He had.. Killed Xisuma.. Grian tried to shake the thought.
He had hurt himself and scared others.
But he did all those things unconsciously, like when he closed his eyes and teleported.
Grian realized that hadn't happened at all recently. He did everything with his eyes open.
It was his brain that did these things, his heart did not follow.

"Grian," He heard a voice. It wasn't the hermits, it wasn't Voice. It was the moon.
Had a month passed? It was already a full moon?
He climbed out out his cave. The moon was bigger then he had ever seen before. It's glow almost took up the whole night sky.
"Moon! I'm sorry I wasn't out here I wasn't keeping track of time," Grian excused sitting down.
"That's alright but I know why."
Grian didn't know if seeing his friends was a bad thing, did moon not approve? If it didn't then it was practically all over, Grian couldn't help but follow the moons orders.
"I will let you keep talking with them if you do this for me."
"What? I'll do anything, I don't want to be stuck with Voice.."
"I need more loyal hermits like you to turn to me. I need you to convince your friends to join the mooners religion. I am clearly the leader, and I want you to be like my second in command. If you convince them to join then you pass the test you are granted this role. Don't disappoint me."
Grian stared up, this was his task? He wanted this role for whatever group he was starting,
No.
He needed this role. He wanted any validation from the moon he could get. This could bring them close and Grian may be gifted something. Moon was a God, who knows what he could receive. He didn't know why he needed this gift so much but he guessed it was for revenge, to show the hermits who was right all along.

Eventually, Grian was with the whole Boatem crew. He knew he had to bring this up, Moon was counting on him.
A voice whispered loudly in his head,
"Moon will be back tomorrow."
Grian was surprised. Tomorrow? That's great, he would just have to try and pay attention to his clock. The sun wasn't here anymore so it wasn't easy to tell time. On of the many things he regreted.
"Hey guys," Grian started. The other hermits stopped chatting and listened to him.
"You all believe about the moon right? That Voice manipulated me and I hear voices and stuff, yeah?"
Grian held back the urge to ask if he was innocent remembering the conversation the other day. The crew nodded.
"Voice and moon are 2 completely different people, Voice is evil, moon is good. Moon helped me through me darkest times, when I was here alone. I could have-"
Boatem looked around in concern, Grian scrapped the sentence.
"Moon helped me, and I'm guessing you all have read the mooners book back at boatem, right? Moon is angry at the hermits, since moon is a God they may be angry at you. You don't want to be hated by a God, right? Join the Mooners and moon can help you!"
"Well, I wouldn't want to hated by a God. Moon sounds nice! Can I talk to them?" Scar chirped.
Grian nodded, it was going well.
"I don't know Scar, it said you had to stop sleeping to enter," Pearl mentioned, Grian honestly expected Pearl the join instantly considering her recent behavior, she acted like Voice.
"Guys, think about what may happen if a God hates us, it'll punish the entire server. We won't have to suffer!" Scar was catching on.
"Scar, that's selfish," Impulse said. Grian watched the lot go back and forth which each other.
"Yeah but we could maybe help the server if we aren't suffering..?" Scar definitely was in
"I don't know," Mumbo pinched the bridge of his nose.
"No one asked for your opinion," Pearl spat at him, Mumbo looked at her with an angry, confused expression.
"So you're in, Pearl?" Grian asked. She shook her head. This may be hard. "If you just meet moon you'll be convinced."
"Question," Impulse butted in, "Does Voice work for the moon?"
Grian searched for am answer, "Yeah, I think so."
Impulse sighed, "Ok I'm in. I don't like Voice but it brought us here, if moon told it to do that then we should be appreciative!"
"You're right," Mumbo agreed. "I want to talk with moon like Pearl, unless I agree before hand. I will consider."
Mumbo is technically in.
"I'm not in until I talk with moon, I'm just worried I may end up in exile like you.."
"No need to worry! No one will know!" Grian tried to reassure her, he would have to agree to letting them talk with moon.
He somehow didn't like that.
He wanted the moon to himself, even if these were his friends he didn't want any competition.
He's the favorite.
They need to know that.

"My god I hate acting," Wax Pearl complained.
"I just want to speed things up. Maybe we should just tell him we already work for moon?"
Wax Mumbo argued back with her, "Don't even think about it. He'll be mad at us and moon will have to make something else for him to trust. Moon said to not disappoint, remember that."
"Was my acting good?" Wax Scar asked, wax Mumbo nodded. "Sure."
Wax Impulse stood there, he didn't like acting. He supposed he was defective, he wanted to tell Grian everything but moon would erase him for sure. From everyones memory and from hermitcraft.
He was worried about who would tell Grian. He knew the group wouldn't let him go anywhere near him. Wax Impulse shuffled his hands together, he knew how upset Grian would be after learning the truth but it was the only way for moon to break into his body, and then revenge would be served on a silver platter.
