Logan and Virgil trudged back to the house. They had no luck finding Roman's collar, and they had searched the woods inside and out!
However they were still eager to return home. Logan had to make things right with Patton, and he was going to do it right now!

They entered the home through the back door.
"We're home!" Virgil called out.
Roman barked happily.
"Patton, I need to talk to you!" Logan called out as well.
No response.
"Is he in his room?" Virgil wondered.

The two eneterd Patton's room, and found it computer on.
"Check this out," Virgil said pointing to the screen.
"He was going to buy a new collar?" Logan asked.
"Yeah, and from the looks of it an expensive one. It has all these costly upgrades."
"He was gonna do all that for Roman?"
"He just wants to make things right Logan. He thinks its all his fault."
"But that's not true-"
"But look, he never checked out. Why didn't he?"

Suddenly, they heard barking from down the hall. Logan and Virgil followed Roman's bark to the front hall.
"What is it Roman-"

The two froze. The door was wide open. In front of it was Roman's collar....

and a puddle of blood.

"N-NO!" Logan ran to the puddle. "Th-They got him! They got Patton!"
"Oh god! How did they find him?!" Virgil gasped and picked up the collar. He looked at it, and saw their address on the back. "Th-The collar! The collar had our address on it! How could we have left him alone when the Vampries had that information!?"
Roman barked sadly and fearfully.
Virgil put Roman's collar on him, and he turned human.
He looked around, confused but came to pretty quickly. He looked at the puddle and gasped.
"Th-They got him....?!" Roman cried.
Virgil nodded sadly.

"Wait," Logan examined the puddle. "He's alive."
"Wh-What?"
"This isn't nearly the amount of blood a human holds! Patton is still alive probably!"
"Then where is he..?" Roman asked.
"I think we all know where.."
