Chapter 15
Patton sat on the couch. He didn't want to be on the couch, he wanted to be in his room. Where he could hide away from the stress of the world right now. But Virgil had demanded he leave his room.
So Patton sat on the couch, back straight and head down.
I can't belive I was so stupid, Patton thought to himself. I should have never gone out on my own. Now Logan is angry and Roman is trapped as a dog. What if they can't find Roman's collar?! Oh god what if he's a dog forever and its all my fault!! Maybe I can get him a new one-
Virgil sat down next to Patton.
"Patton..." Virgil whispered.
Patton looked over at him, trying to stay calm. He did, but a few tears dripped down.
"It's all my fault..." Patton said softly. "And I can't even help fix it I'm so weak."
"Patton thats not true-"
"Virgil," Logan walled in. "We have to get going."
Virgil looked up and nodded.
The two human wolves put Roman on a leash and walked to the back door.
"We're going out to search for Roman's collar," Logan said.
"..."
"Patton?"
"Ok." Patton said quietly.
Logan nodded sadly as he and the other two walked out the door.
______________
"Oh god what do I do..." Logan sighed.
"You need to say sorry," Virgil said.
"I know! But he's always locked in his room and I can't get in to talk to him!"
"He was right there in the living room!!"
"But we had to leave to look for-"
"Logan!! Roman's collar is a priority yes, but what does it matter if patton isn't himself? Roman is going to feel horrible when he sees Patton like this when we get him back to normal."
Logan nodded. "You're right. I'll say sorry tonight, wether or not we find the collar."
______________
Patton sat on the couch, still as ever. He wanted to move to his room, but knew it was better that he was getting a change of scenery.
Suddenly Patton had a thought.
Wait, why can't I just get him another collar?! Sure it would be expensive, but thats the price of my love for Roman!
Patton rushed to his laptop and searched up the PetSmart Website. He went to the "Collar Kisok" tab, and started to create a new collar. He even paid extra for a stronger leather one so it couldn't get ripped off. And a GPS tracker so he could find it again just in case. Was totalling 40$ but it would all be worth it-
The doorbell rang. Odd, he wasn't expecting Emile? But then again he had forgotten to call after the....recent events. So she was probably checking in.
He opened the door. "Hey Emile sorry I-"
Patton stumbled back, eyes wide.
"I thought those wolves would never leave!" Remus chuckled.
"But now they have, leaving you all alone," Janus stepped into the home.
"H-how did you find me?!" Patton cried.
Remus held up Roman's collar in his hand. "So nice if you to put your address on the back!"
"It made it so easy to find you!" Remus laughed. "Funny how your wolves could be so careless! Leaving you alone when they knew we had your address. Not that they ever cared about you in the first place!"
"Th-They care about me...!" Patton stuttered. "They love me-"
"Then why would they yell at you, make you feel weak," Janus got closer as Remus held Patton by the shoulders from behind.
"S-Stop it," Patton started to tear up.
"Stop Telling the truth?" Janus chuckled.
"They don't care," Remus whispered. "But we do..."
"Y-You just want to eat me!" Patton cried out, still avoiding eye contact.
"Not entirely true!" Remus giggled. "You're very handsome!"
Patton blushed.
"And so kind," Janus cooed. "Those muts don't know what they've let go..."
Janus lifted Patton's head up, to where he could see both their eyes. They swirled in a beautiful mix of green and yellow. They shined like the forest on a sunny day. Patton felt so calm in that forest, he could stay there forever.
Patton felt a pain in his neck, before it all went dark.
