Patton liked the rain. Most people see rain as sad, and inconvenient. Patton saw it as joy, fresh starts anew. When he was a child he loved to go jumping in puddles and looking for worms. Even when he would end up catching a small cold the next day, it was always worth it.
Nowadays Patton didn't catch a cold. Then again, he wouldn't go looking for worms anymore either. He would now walk the streets of the town with his Froggy Umbrella and Froggy Rain Boots. Patton had small dainty feet, so he was able to fit into very childish clothing.

Currently Patton was doing just that, while humming a tune. It was raining quite hard, but he didn't mind. His umbrella protected him mostly. The minute he had looked at the weather forecast this morning he had smiled. It was to rain all day, and he was off of work! He'd get to enjoy the rain all day!

Patton walked into the small cafe where his friend worked. He wanted to get a nice tea for his walk.
"Patton, what are you doing out in the rain?" Emile, his friend asked.
"Taking a walk," Patton smiled as Emile made his hot tea.
"In this weather?"
"I like the rain," Patton payed for his tea. "Makes me happy! Its like the world is washing off, starting fresh!"
"Aw thats sweet! Well, enjoy your walk!"

Patton continued to walk through the rain. The sun was completely blocked out, making it quite a dark day. Cars drove by slowly, careful of the rain and dark. Patton felt his leggings grow damp from the wet splashes, not that he minded.
Patton checked his phone. He had left at 1:00 and it was already 4:00. His legs were beginning to hurt a tiny bit from all the walking. He decided to turn and start heading home-

Suddenly Patton heard a noise. He turned around, but there was nothing there. But he kept hearing the sad whimpering. Patton followed the noise, desperate to help whatever was making the sad sound.

Patton walked a bit father down the street, into a run down area. The rain was heavier here, and he held onto his umbrella tightly. The sound led him into a dark alleyway.

"H-hello?" Patton called out. "Is anyone here?"
Suddenly, footsteps rushed up to him. Patton braced himself to be mugged-

"Woof!"
