Chapter 3: My life is slowly getting there.
Olivia's POV:
It was a few months later. I felt so much happier. Jackson and Delilah showed me love. But I still felt alone.
"Jackson," I said one day slowly trotting to the Alpha.
I bowed my head and then lookked up. With my remaining vision which wasn't much blurred as I did this.
"Yes, my little one?" Jackson came and sat at my side.
"Mama and papa found me last night," I whimpered. "They bit my tail."
I turned round. The gasp from Jackson sounded angry..
"Right," he snarled. "Stay here, Olivia with Delilah. I'll sort your parents out."
Delillah came trotting up. "Oh, Olivia sweetie. Come here."
I turned and followed her back into our den. The wise Luna stared at me. Then lay down, her head at my tail. Then a stinging but soothing feeling went through me as she started licking the wound. I stood there, whimpering.
"It's okay, my love!" Delilah came and nuzzled my snout. "It'll hurt a bit."
I lay down and closed my eyes. Then I fell asleep.
***
"Are you ready, Olivia sweetie," asked Delilah.
"For what?" I felt worried.
"For your first day at human school." Jackson helped me up. "You need to shift for it, though."
"Okay," I said.
Jackson escorted me out of pack territory. Then we walked down the path through the woods. I felt nervous. What if no one liked me in the human world?
We got to where we had to go. Then Jackson shifted into human, magically making clothes appear. Then he petted my head. "Your turn."
I nodded and found myself transform into a human. I was wearing a brown jumper, with a purple skirt. My scarred legs were covered by tights. On my feet were black trainers. I stared at Jackson, who made me a pair of glasses. He seemed clearer with these on. I smiled. "Not the best outfit. But I guess it'll have to do until we get the actual uniform?"
Jackson nodded. "Let's go!"
We walked outside the Woods and into the City. I looked round at the cars, buses and other vehicles racing down the road. Dogs, humans and cats were wondering the streets. There was two teenagers that were walking towards us. One was a girl that looked fourteen? She was very pretty. But it wasn't her that caught my attention. My nose caught the smell of Chocolate which made my wolf dance inside my head. Jackson smirked. "What's this? You fancy someone."
I stared at the boy who was walking beside the girl. He looked very unnhappy. Like something happened. Were they going to the school I was starting?
"Go and say hello, Olivia!" Jackson suggested. "See if they are going to the school!"
I nodded and walked towards them. The girl stopped and smiled.
"Hello there," she said. "Are you starting at City Poem Highschool?"
I nodded. "What's your name?"
"I'm Kinsey Ellington!" Said the girl smiling shaking my hand. "And this is my little Brother Larkin!"
The boy walked over and shook my hand. He looked nervous.
"Is he okay?" I asked Kinsey. "He looks hurt!"
"Bit of a long story," said Kinsey.
"You don't have to tell," I said, scratching at my neck.
Wait ... You look like you've been abused," said Larken staring at me.
"Aha," I sighed. "It is not the best story!"
"You smell nice," came a thought from my wolf in my mind.
"Not to pry or anything," said Larken. "But are you a Werewolf?"
I nodded. "So is my carer over there." I pointed to Jackson who smiled. "How come?"
"Er ... how to explain it?" Larkin stared at his sister for help.
"Speak the truth, Bro!" Kinsey gently jabbed him.
"I got blessed by the wolf goddess," said Larkin. "About three years ago? I don't shift until I'm eighteen, though."
I frowned. "So that's why you are hurt? Your parents hate it that you are different?"
Larkin nodded. "You are pretty, er ..."
"Olivia Garcia," I said. "Or Livvy or whatever you want to call me."
Kinsey gave me a hug. Then gave me what looked like a burger. "Here. Have something to eat!"
Jackson smiled. "I'll be here after school, Olivia! Stick by these two and I'm sure you'll be okay."
I nodded. "Okay."
"We'll look after her," said Kinsey..
"Thank you," said Jackson. "I better go back into the Wolf kingdom now."
"Okay," I said. "See you later!"
Then Jackson disappeared. I smiled at my new friends. I felt so happy!
"Come on, then you two," said Kinsey with a smile. "City Poem, here we come!"
I followed Kinsey all the way to a dark building. It looked big! Larkin held my hand. "Hey, Livvy, are you okay?"
I didn't know how to respond. My wolf was dancing in my head. But I ignored it.
"Yeah," I said after a while. "Just haven't ventured out without Jackson or Delilah for a while."
Larkin frowned. But then smiled as I started nibbling at my burger. "You'll be okay."
"Is iit your first day?" I asked.
"No," said Larkin. "My second year. But you are in my classes. They did mention that you were starting."
I smiled, despite the nerves.
