She was the one who you would point out at camp after returning from the battlefield. The one who would be called to the tent and return with a smile instead of a scar. Caroline Calvin was the model soldier. She was hardworking, tough, smart, and ruthless. Nothing could get in her way. She had a mission? She would finish it. She had a target? They would die. She had a knife? It would come out dripping in blood.

She was a leader of a battalion in Kronos's army. She hated the Gods. She hated her mother - no, not her mother. Athena didn't deserve that title; Athena deserved no love. Caroline had been abandoned, forced to live with a father that didn't care if she lived or died. No one deserved that kind of fate - the Gods had to be eliminated. Had she grown up the right way, she might have been a kindhearted soul. But instead of a satyr coming for her on her twelfth birthday, it was Luke Castellan.
