Ivan Pov

A month has passed since the day I met my destiny mate. Cedric has changed a lot since that day. He despises everything related me. Whenever he take control he will go howl or sleep in seclude place. My parents detect the change in my behavior, but I brush their question like nothing.

"Hi babe, what is going on?" A sweet voice asks me. She hugs me from behind, lean her head on my shoulder. Her naked body plaster on my back.

"Mmm, nothing..." I kiss her.

"But you see very distract recently. Like something weighing your mind." Kayla softs mumble close to my ear.

"It's nothing, honey. I swear..." I turn my body to face her.

"No cheating?" She smirks while lean close to mine.

"Mm... not." I pause before answering her.

"I just joke, babe. I know you have stopped all playboy activity since the day we do confess." She flicks my forehead and straddle on my laps.

Her beautiful breasts meet mine awaking my lust again. Last night we already have a hot making out session, but Kayla is the best to seduce me into lust realm. "Hey, babe, what happen? You're distract..." Kayla pouts after slap my hand gently.

"I'm sorry, honey." I kiss her neck gently. Moans escape her lips. A door knock stop us from going further.

"Who?" I control my voice to hide my flaming lust.

"It's me, Terrance. The rogues were spot on our eastern border. I try reaching you by mind-link, but failed." Terrance tells me quickly.

"Got it." I replied him. I get out of bed and hastily dress up in a bathrobe. "Sorry, honey."

"It okay, Babe, we can continue tonight." She follows me to the door. I place a quick kiss on her lips.

I join Terrance in wolf form before running to the east border. I can spot around ten rogues fight with my warrior on duty.

Good job everyone - I praise them in a mind-link. They nod their big wolves head and continue fight.

I choose a big one, he rotting flesh heavily pollute the air around us. The red eyes cautiously analysis my every move. The saliva is drooling down like a river in the corner of his lips. How he became the rogues is not my business.

Once upon the times he may a great rank werewolf judging from his cautious action. His big wolf builder is prove for it.

"Why you trespasses my border?" I used an Alpha authority voice to force him submit.

He just groans and became wilder, circle me while try find my blind spot. He lung for me when he thought I'm distracted by other. He has made a wrong decision. I use my hind legs to kick his head, force him to flying back.

I used the opportunity to lung and wounded one of his legs. He whimpers before set the eyes to kill me. We fight and repeatedly wound each other till I get a change to sink my canine on his rotten flesh neck part. The aftertaste almost makes me want to bile out all my stomach content.

The rogues slowly transform into his human side, weakly wiggle on wet soil. The other rogues also stop their fight and come closer to their leader. They whimper and snuggle him with their snout.

"Forgive me..." the weak voice pat his fellow member. "Alpha Ivan, thank you ... for... ending... my life. Now... I...I can ... join her in afterlife..." The rogues stop breathing. All the other rogues let out a sad howl, mourning their leader who passes away.

"Transform." I order them. They're transforming. I spot their eyes were wet.

"Who are you?" I said to the second largest wolf.

"I'm Jim, the ex-beta of Lake Night pack. He is my Alpha..." He stop when trace the breathless body on soil. "We're sorry for trespasses your land. But, before you give your punishment, please let us to give a proper burial as a last respect." He said stoically.

"How he became rogues?" Terrance asks.

"Six month ago, our pack was under attack. Regretful on that day, our Alpha, and some of our pack members was away for outside meeting which give the intruder a good opportunity. As a result, Luna and the newborn future Alpha were killed and our pack was disbanded. Our alpha got his revenge, but it was too late for him to convert back to himself. The last full moon was his last string before he lost his humanity side." He gives us a short explanation.

In conclusion, he came here to end his life. An idiot alpha, he should just move forward and continue his life. He had disappointed his loyal members who follow him to the end of the world.

"That idiot should've move on than seek a revenge. He can report to werewolf community and get a treatment to stop the feral." A snarl come from his ex-beta, Terrance retorts him with the same tone.

"Sorry for my rudeness Alpha, but you never experience our alpha suffering after losing his mate. He was the wise and caring alpha and blames himself when witnessed the horrific scenery at our pack land. Sorry, but not really sorry... I don't want to take any insult you're going throw on my death alpha. Please excuse us." The ex-Beta collects his alpha dead body before out of my land.

We are running back to pack house, I quickly got inside my suite room and take a bath. A question hit my head.

The death of a mate could turn a wise and caring alpha to monster wolf. So, what will happen to someone who reject or ignore their true mate? Claim someone else to replace their mates?

You will slowly die – Cedric stone voice resonance inside my mind.

I'm not asking your opinion, selfish wolf. – I said irritated by his attitude.

And, I'm gladly answering you my foolish human. – He mocks me.

As if I'll take your answer – I replied back.

Don't regret when someone else takes our mate. I'll fucking kill you, Ivan. - He warns me.

Who want to bang such a fatty whale? Nobody wants him whether man or woman. Mark my word, Cedric. Except you... – I've lost my patient to deal with my stubborn wolf.

At least, he is innocence than your whore, Ivan. – He closes the link after the last sentence. I know I'm constantly denied his desire to mark his true mate. But, please understand I've a reputation to hold. In addition, Kayla has present a lot benefit than my own mate. I punch the mirror before step out.

"Shall we go to breakfast now? I'm very hungry. " A soft arm snake around my waist.

"Yes, honey, me too." I'm mind-link an omega to take care a broken mirror.

"Good morning, Alpha." The members greet me together when I step in the dining hall. It was compulsory for us take a breakfast together. I nod and give a signal for us to start the breakfast.

The members are chatting with each other with various topics. Kayla joins a girl group talking about their personal topic.

How dining hall will look like if my mate replaces Kayla? Did we would continue to behave like this? Or they will shun him? I wipe the thought away. Damn it! A soft palm pulls me back to reality.

"What's wrong, Ivan? Kayla keeps calling your name several times." Terrance mind-link me.

"Just think about an earlier event." I give a flat answer and give an apologize kiss on Kayla cheek.

"Everyone, I have one announcement, Kayla, and I have decided to get wed on the end of December. I already know some windy rumour about our wedding and the mastermind behind it. So, here I deeply hope you all can welcome Kayla as your Luna even she isn't my real mate." I said while eyeing everyone. They give an applause and congrats to us.

Kayla hugs me and sends a thank you to everyone who blesses us. She was tearing when hear the pack was accepting her despite her status. I'm glad with my decision this time. It's truly a correct decision after all. But, In the same time, Cedric was throwing a good load of rampage inside me. He was burning with hatred for Kayla which mean I need to be careful whenever he take control in future.
