LIVESTREAM

Sydney's ever so slightly pixelated face appeared on the YouNow website as she started her live stream. Her background included the beige couch she was sitting on, a dark figure dressed in black behind her, and a white wall that matched the blonde's sweatshirt. After a few seconds, the image quality improves slightly, and the dark figure starts seeming more and more like a hoodie-clad torso that Sydney's leaning against.

"Hi!" The girl exclaims, a bright smile on her face as she sees the numbers rising in the viewer count. "Ooh, 3K people already?" Her eyes were wide as she spoke before she leaned slightly off camera to grab something. "I haven't even tweeted this yet." Her fingers typed quickly on her phone's screen as she giggled. "I honestly don't get Dan Howell's issue with live stream tweeting. Not that hard, Daniel."

With that remark, her chat was quickly filled with comments reading the words Phan, but the blonde didn't really pay attention to them, instead continuing to talk in a cheery voice as she put down her phone. "Whatever, hi! How are you guys?"

Her eyes scanned the chat as the answers poured in. She could only catch some, but she read them aloud.

She chuckled at the last one. "I am the annoying TWD chick, thank you very much." She heard a small laugh behind her and smiled as she looked to the side. "Also, as for Chandler-" She cut herself off, turning the computer screen a bit to the side, to showcase the boy sprawled on the couch right behind her as she leaned against his stomach. He silently raised his eyebrows and nodded toward the camera, and Sydney turned the screen back to her. "As you can see, he's incredibly thrilled to be here." Her voice was sarcastic, but the commenters didn't seem to mind, instead typing in all caps about the couple.

"I just don't get what we're supposed to do." Chandler disembodied voice called out, the girl theatrically rolling her eyes.

"Didn't you use live stream, too?" She muttered, the boy sitting up and scooting downward so that he was actually in frame now. Sydney rested her head on his chest now and he was the one to roll his eyes this time.

"Yeah, but I was doing something. Like, I was playing League Of Legends." His girlfriend cut him off.

"Yes, because that is such an important civic duty for mankind. Shitty RPGs are future." Sydney said, hearing her brother laugh off camera and biting back a smile, faking annoyance in her tone as her boyfriend spoke up.

"It's not an RPG-"

"How the hell is it not an RPG?" As Chandler went to answer, obviously having explained this previously, she rolled her eyes. "No, no, no. Forget I asked, we're not having this discussion again, oh my God. Honestly, LoL is the bane of my existence because of you." She bickered.

"Wow, thanks, babe." He mumbled sarcastically, making her laugh.

"Like you care about the Youtubers I watch. Or listen when I talk about Shadowhunters and Teen Wolf. You don't have to love what I love to love me." She explained, shrugging as Axl once again made himself heard.

"That was so fake deep." He spoke from behind the computer, his little sister laughing at the comment before he kept talking. "Seriously, though, what are you doing?"

Sydney looked back at the camera and shrugged, before smirking up at Chandler. "Exploiting our relationship."

The boy chuckled but Axl laughed louder before speaking. His voice was clear as day. "I thought that exploiting your relationship was my job." He asked, quirking an eyebrow as his sister burst into giggles.

"Dude, did you just drag yourself?" Chandler asked, making Sydney laugh even harder, leaning further into him. Fans were obviously screenshotting the YouNow app as she grinned, momentarily forgetting she was live. Once she settled down, the blonde actually answered her boyfriend's question.

"Anyway, I thought we could do a little Q&A. I've done a couple of these and they're usually really fun. Also, Axl suggested we do the boyfriend tag on his channel and I thought it'd be dope, but I don't want him to keep making money off of us. So, maybe we can do it now?" She inquired, making her brother scoff.

"You do realize that's wasted rent money? For a house that you live in?" His statement made her smirk drop. Raising her eyebrows, the blonde sighed as her eyes moved to scan the comment section once again.

"Touché." She called out. Not holding back a second sigh in a row, she turned to face the boy next to her. "So?" She asked. When he made a noncommittal sound and shrugged back, the girl let out a small, sarcastic 'yay!' "I can feel the enthusiasm radiating off of you." She joked, Chandler not having time to respond before she spoke up again, focusing on the camera this time. "So, guys, boyfriend and girlfriend tags or questions first?"

Her eyes skimmed the comment section, ignoring the ones that had nothing to do with her question. She smiled. "Okay, majority or you are saying boyfriend tag." She announced, the boy in question hiding his amusement in a faux eye roll.

"Pull up the questions, Syd."

Unsurprisingly, they only got to the fifth question. Then came bickering, and things got off topic. "Do I have any weird obsessions- if so what?" Sydney questioned, her mouth pulling into a smirk as she talked.

"Oh, that weird ASMR thing for sure." His tone was casual, not matching the dramatic gasp that erupted from his girlfriend after his answer.

"Okay, first off," The girl started what was obviously gonna turn into a rant. She ignored Chandler's chuckle, her eyes narrowing. "It's not weird. It's calming and soothing and completely innocent, you sickos." She muttered as the two guys in the room laughed. She pouted slightly as she continued, shrugging. "I just watch it when I can't sleep."

"What? You sleep fine, though. Like, most mornings I'm the one who wakes you up." Chandler raised an eyebrow, as Sydney scoffed.

"You are such a damn liar!" She raised her voice, though a smile graced her features. As he started to protest, she shook her head. "I always wake up first. You just get up first. Can you blame for wanting to stay in bed? You're cuddly and it's cold." She defended herself as her boyfriend and brother simultaneously rolled their eyes. "Also, I mostly watch them in L.A because your dumb ass isn't there. Anyfuckingway, what's the next-" She breezed past the confession. Chandler cut her off. Thinking it was to tease her about struggling to sleep without him, she rolled her eye. But the graveness in his voice as he said her name made her freeze and stop reaching out for her previously discarded phone. She turned to him.

"Syd." He called out. His were as wide and worried as his tone, and she frowned as he tensed up. She mumbled a small questioning sound, and instead of answering, he nodded toward the chat.

Sydney's gaze went from confused to worried, and as she saw the notifications going off on her phone. Finally grabbing it, it took two seconds for her to click on the E! News link and get a grasp of what was happening. She forced a smile onto her face as she looked at the camera. "Uh, sorry, guys. We've gotta go, but we'll finish this some other time. Bye." Her voice was monotone and leveled, and her smile was obviously fake, but no one had much time to dwell on it before she ended the livestream.

Once Sydney closed YouNow, her eyes met her brother's gaze and she spoke. Axl looked somewhere between concerned and angry, clutching his phone tightly in his hand, the same page opened on the screen. "What the fuck is going on?"
