'It was coming, and the only person who could stop it without sending more potential warriors into the fray was Cakey. The whole academy knows that. However, even as Cakey changed the past, the academy was slowly feeling the results of the changes.

Will had tried to get in contact with Cakey's partner, but they were gone. They were one of the ones who had disappeared from the past's changes. Both Will and Nico had joined along with Cakey and her partner, and they were worried about how their friend would react when she returned.

An unfortunate circumstance, but it was a risk of the job.

Cakey knows this, of course, but oh boy will she be disappointed if she gets back to us in one piece. It is possible she will end up walking through our doors tomorrow with her full memories of saving us all, but we won't know until then. First, the world, and all of us, have to survive to that point.

Cakey was always one of the good ones, one of the best trainees in the academy. It is just so unfortunate that she had just been about to gain Master status before this large mission, but she was the only one with a timeline match up that wouldn't mess up too much... like Nico or Will being sent back would've.

She was killer with a knife, but her gunwork could use well... 'work'.

An alarm began to ring through the facility, breaking [REDACTED###] out of their thoughts. They rushed over to the control panel they were supposed to be watching and pressed a series of buttons.

Another message was sent to Cakey along with a few coordinates; the workers were trying their best to give Cakey any sort of help they could. She was only a trainee, even if she was a genius inventor, after all. 

'I really hope these are spread apart and she's still getting at least some down-time. Hades knows she needs it.'

"Our top story tonight!
Did we finally get our very own superhero on Earth? The media is beginning to think so!

Police were called onto a scene tonight in the US where robbers were holding a group hostage, and when they arrived, the offenders were out of commission. The eye witnesses claim that their savior showed up from thin air and saved them, but then she disappeared after noticing the police coming.

Prior to this event, reports were flooding in across the world to different stations about some mysterious girl who showed up, saved them from something-- a robber, a rabid dog, or even one instance of a bomb-- and then questioned them about any kind of disappearances!

However, these reports actually start from a social media site in which one streamer called "Holly" actually interacted with the suspected hero!"

"Wasn't she quite rude in that clip?"

"Why yes! It makes you wonder if the two have history or maybe this mysterious figure just is that awful!"

"But does that even make sense? I mean, she's out there saving people everywhere! And can she teleport? She can't be everywhere at once stopping every minor event! Plus, we find her investigating something now when with this first and only event that was caught live she wasn't even interrogating anyone!"

"I guess no one will know why she showed up or what she can even do until one lucky news reporter truly gets an interview with her."

To say Will was concerned would be an understatement. Cakey, someone who literally saved his boyfriend with all her weird quirks, wasn't on top of things. That itself was weird, but seeing her all over social media was even weirder.

If Will knew one thing about Cakey, he knew she would have gotten all those pictures deleted because she "can't have all this evidence around". And Will knew Cakey. At least, he thought he did...

The last straw was the news report. That was his best friend alright... and she was being shot at! Sure, Cakey can hold her own in a fight, but now Will had an overwhelming need to go check on his friend.

"Nico! We need to get to Cakey's now!"

Nico glances around confusedly for a moment before looking up at Will, "Why?"

Will points at the TV, where they are currently talking about Will's best friend being shot at, "Because according to that, Cakey is being shot at!"

Nico gapes for a minute before shifting his stance to look more... confident? Will is utterly confused. "Alright, let's go." Nico moves to go grab the car keys before Will stops him.

Will's hand rests on Nico's shoulder, "Nico... are you okay?"

Nico just smiles at his boyfriend, happy that at this point in time they are already dating. "Of course Sunshine, we have a Cakey to go help. Hurry up!"
