Jeongguk watched as Taehyung ascended the stairs in front of him, legs moving with an excited quickness. His eyes were trained on his beautifully strong thighs, flexing slightly with every step he took. Goddess, his mate was so fucking beautiful.

Taehyung was truly blessed by the moon goddess. His brunette hair curled prettily in the most perfect way around his cut jawline and high cheekbones. His thick eyebrows, usually furrowed because of his deep thoughts, led to his intimidating feline eyes. His face was sheer perfection and it quite literally took his breath away the first time he laid eyes on him.

But that's a story for another time.

Taehyung pushed their door open and rushed inside, slipping out of his outfit on his way to their bed before positioning himself on the fluffy sheets just the way his mate always likes him.

Jeongguk came sauntering in, closing and locking the door behind him as he took in the view before him. His beautiful mate lay naked on their bed, cute pout on his face as he laid on his back with his arms spread wide open. Jeongguk flashed him a wide smile, taking his time while he started removing his own clothes, defined chest coming into view. Taehyung's pout deepened, small growl of annoyance leaving his throat at how slow his mate was moving. It made Jeongguk chuckle, picking up the pace before finally removing his last article of clothing. He joined Taehyung on the bed and scooped him up, replacing his spot on the bed and laying his mate on top of him.

This was what they did whenever Taehyung had his moments. They laid in their safe space, completely naked so they could feel every inch of each other. The pure skin-on-skin contact was magical for them. As they laid on top of each other, the world just faded away until only they remained. They thought of it as their own form of therapy for Taehyung's anger issues. It wasn't easy being a true blood alpha. His wolf, Phoenix, was always so temperamental that the smallest issue could possibly set him off.

There were days when he couldn't stand it, feeling like he wasn't worthy of his rank because he couldn't control himself.  On those days, Jeongguk would remind him of how far he's come and how capable he is.  He was ten times worse as a child, constantly getting into fights with other children that tended to go far past what they should have.   

"How do you feel, my love?" Jeongguk asked as he stroked his mate's curly hair, coiling a few strands around his fingers. 

"I'm okay, still kind of annoyed but you're helping." Taehyung replied, snuggling more into Jeongguk's embrace if that was even possible.  He absentmindedly left little kisses on his mate's chest, soft lips tracing the tattoos intricately gracing his skin.  Jeongguk's eyes fluttered closed, a small sigh of pleasure leaving his lips.  This only encouraged Taehyung to keep going, kisses slowly starting to lead down his stomach. It made the tatted male bite his lip, moving a hand to the back of Taehyung's head to grip his hair a bit.  Taehyung only smiled, tongue sensually dipping into the other's belly button before he was pulled back by a strong grip on his hair.

"Don't start something you can't finish, baby.  You know how much shit we have to do today."  Jeongguk groaned through gritted teeth, glaring into his mate's deceptively innocent feline eyes.  Taehyung always did this, take a completely sweet and pure moment too far because he can't keep his hands to himself.  Usually Jeongguk would never complain but they have important business to take care of.  He just wanted to come upstairs and cuddle a bit to make him feel better but it somehow always ends like this.  

They genuinely just can't get enough of each other.  Maybe to a concerning extent.

"What'd I do, Ggukie?" Taehyung asked cutely, tilting his head to the side and feigning ignorance with his best performance. Jeongguk only rolled his eyes, gently pushing his mate to the side and getting out of bed to put his clothes back on. "Tae, cut the shit and get dressed so we can go." 

Taehyung's face immediately fell into it's natural blank state, taking his time to get ready. "You're so annoying when you get serious about business."  Don't get him wrong, as the pack leader Taehyung is very serious about important matters but when he's just laying around with his mate, the whole world disappears but Jeongguk. 

The raven haired only chuckled, moving across the bed to kiss him on the head. "I love you too, beautiful."
