~ ☾ 🌘 🌗 🌖 🌕 🌔 🌓 🌒 ☽ ~

The trees of the forest were rustling in the wind on a foggy evening. Night was approaching fast, her dark clutches beginning to engulf the forest. The fog made it hard to see but the surrounding sounds were louder than ever.

Panting.

Running.

Claws scratching the earth beneath them.

They ran in a pack, hunting to feed their kind for tonight. Each of different size and color, but united in one sound mind.

They moved swiftly, gracefully prancing through the forest until they came upon two deer. All moving perfectly in sync to surround the unsuspecting animals. They watched silently, waiting for the command of their leader to strike.

And strike they did.

Lunging for the necks and stomachs of their prey, killing them quickly and efficiently. As they finished they said a prayer, thanking the moon goddess for providing them with food and made their way towards the pack house.

As always, being greeted by children and loved ones with happiness filling their beings. Their lives were not perfect by any means but together, they could conquer anything.
