Ember's POV

OKAY WHAT THE HELL DID I DO?

Moon has been avoiding me for about five days now.

Did I say something that offended her? 

"Yes," SeaWing said.

"Definitely," Ayea agreed.

"Shut up," I said.

"Ember!" Rain shouted.

"What is it?" I asked. "Is Moon okay?"

"She's fine," he told me. "But there's somebody else."

We began to run over to Moon, who was talking to somebody in a calm voice.

"Uh, hey, Razer," I said. "Never thought that I'd see you here."

Razer sighed. "Nice to see you too, Ember." He said, not sounding very happy at all.

"The Entity struck again," Moon told us, and I noticed that Razer shot her a grateful look. I felt a twinge of jealousy. "He managed to kill Meeps,"

"It's also my fault," Razer confessed. "I panicked and I pulled the arrow out."

"Razer," Stella said. "It could have happened to anyone. Don't beat yourself up, okay? Meeps wouldn't want that, you know that."

Razer looked down. "I understand," he said, softly.

Moon met my eyes for a split second, before she looked away. 

Rain looked confused, while Stella looked a bit guilty.

Did she say something about me? I wondered. Something very twisted? If so, that's typical of her.

"Razer," I said. "I'm sorry about Meeps."

"Thanks," he said. "I'm going to miss her."

"You were both amazing, you know," I told him. "You kicked the Entity's butt that one time."

Razer smiled. "Thanks," he said. "You're pretty awesome too."

"Hey, I know we might have had misunderstandings once," I said. "But I think it's time to move on from that. We're both fighting against evil, but we just did it in a different way."

"So friends?" Razer asked.

"Friends," I said, shaking his hand.

"Hey," he said. "Just to let you know, I'm not trying to make out with Moon or anything."

I blinked in surprise. "You knew?"

Razer nodded. "Yeah, I knew," he told me. "I think that Moon has recently learned about your feelings for her and she's a little embarrassed about it. Wait, I don't think she's embarrassed, I think that she just doesn't know how she should feel about it. Don't worry, give her some time."

"I'll try," I said. "But I can't make any promises. I can be very impatient sometimes."

Razer and I burst out laughing.
