PERSONALITY — Indiana's personality is very tricky to pinpoint because she's been a victim to many curses and spells, each affecting her personality in different ways. A big part of her personality was influenced by her aunt, who was very authentic and brutally honest, as well as sarcastic. They're both very witty, hardheaded, and own terrible tempers. However, the greatest distinction between them is that Indiana has a big heart. She's very compassionate and genuinely kind to those she lets in. This trait has been amplified as she spent time with Snow and Charming. Indiana isn't nearly as mean as Lucy was, which can be seen in Chapter 52.

Her Storybrooke counterpart, Anna James, was created with the intention of making her notably different from the real Indiana, yet still similar. Anna is very dorky, clumsy, and socially awkward, but she's also very witty, creative, and intelligent, just like the real Indiana. The main ideology behind Anna James was derived from wondering what Indiana would have been like if she lived a normal life.

In essence, Indiana is very authentic. She's brutally honest, heavily sarcastic, and relies on carefully crafted comebacks. She swears like a sailor, she's adventurous and impulsive/daring. She's intelligent, cunning, and resourceful, not to mention passionate and compassionate. She's loyal and is careful in trusting others. She can be clumsy and dorky, too, especially after living as Anna James for several years. She struggles with wanting to be good but only ever knowing bad.

EARLY LIFE — Indiana Jones was born in the ocean blue, the third child and first daughter to Brennan Jones and his wife, whose identity is unknown. One year after her birth, Brennan sold off his older sons, Liam and Killian, and gave his only daughter away to his sister, Lucy Jones. Brennan justified giving his daughter away rather than selling her off like his sons because he believed "the life of a sailor is far too dangerous for a young girl." Reluctantly, Lucy took in Indiana and raised her in a small village, where she friended a young boy named Baelfire, the son of Rumplestiltskin and Milah.
