I have come to know you in sections

Right down to your toes

And those knees you hate others to see.

Yes, one section at a time,

The bellybutton to the elbows,

The neck to the spine,

The fingers to the palm,

The feet to the thighs,

And the heart to the mind.

I have come to know you completely,

One inch of skin at a time.

One drop of love wisdom

From your parted lips.

One intelligent notion

One powerful emotion

All at one time,

One of many sections

That make one of you.
