thirty eight.

I opened my eyes slowly, my head hurting slightly whereas my heart was clenching inside me.

"How're you feeling?" Axel asked me, his voice surprising me but I calmed down once my eyes landed on him.

I nodded and pushed myself up on the bed, leaning against the headrest while sighing.

"How am I supposed to feel Axe? I don't even know what the word feel means. I'm so numb, everything makes me so numb." I whispered, my gaze lowering as I pulled my lips into a thin line, my stomach churning.

I heard his footsteps approach me and then a dip in the side of my bed, I knew he came to comfort me, but I don't want to acknowledge it.

"Celine, can we talk this through?" He asked me, determination lacing his tone. I licked my lips and nodded hesitantly.

"Since when is Dustin Cadman, Alpha of the BloodLine pack your mate?" He asked me, his tone laced with disgust, I sighed.

"I found out a couple of weeks ago, sadly. I managed to escape Niall's pack, and for a day I was free of torture, but I was captured once again and not by Niall. I was captured by Dustin's warriors and taken to his pack's dungeon for trespassing, I don't know how many days passed until Dustin showed up but when he did things only got worse. I found out he was my mate, and I thought maybe in his cold heart he would find it in him to let me go, but he didn't-" I stopped to take in a shaky breath, while my eyes welled up.

"-He didn't let me go, in fact he abused me because he hated the fact that I was his mate, he also tried rejecting me but he couldn't, because we're moon written, and he's my prophecy. He let me go after a while, and put me in the hands of his sister, whose amazing and everything other then him, she was so kind and helpful. But, there were times when pain of what your mate does without you strikes and I had friends who helped me through that. Then there were times where I was threatened and hit. Then I met his actual lover and she also did some things that caused pain to me. She hurt herself and blamed me for it, and he believed her! Over me! Then he punished me for disrespecting 'alpha's orders', by burning me with hot water, and then I escaped, got captured once again by Niall, was tortured many times and then got here." I finished, my body shaking as hot tears trailed out of my eyes silently, I hugged my upper body and kept my gaze away from Axel's.

"Maybe we can find a way for you to reject him, or break the bond." He stated, his voice strained and angry making my eyes squeeze shut.

But do I want to break a destined bond?

"I'm Moon Written, there is no way to escape my fate." I protested sadly, my eyes refusing to open, my heart breaking once again.

"I'm sorry Ce." He whispered, his voice cracking. My nose started burning, indicating that more tears were welling up, ready to swim out of my eyes.

"Do you want to see her?" He asked, letting out a small sigh, I opened my eyes and hesitantly nodded my head.

"Where is she?" I asked, using my hands to wipe my tears but still refusing to look at him.

"She's in the dungeon with her brother, talking because we didn't chain her." He said, his tone getting darker at the mention of Marina's brother.

I sighed and nodded, finally bringing my glossy gaze to his, he looked broken.

I sobbed out and slowly he got off the bed, I followed and threw my arms around him, he hugged me back tightly making my heart warm up.

"Thank you." I whispered while nuzzling my head in his chest, he sighed.

"Don't ever thank me, for anything, I am your brother." He stated, I raised my head to look at him and suddenly he showed me his neck making me gasp.

Is he submitting to me?

I bit my lip and used my hand to turn his head to look at me, then I kissed his cheek.

"I love you, Axe." I said, my voice strong. He smiled and nodded.

"I love you too." He replied before we pulled apart and slowly exited the room, then parted ways.

While walking through the halls, trying to navigate my way to the dungeon, I ran into Fin, who was making way upstairs.

"Hey!" I said, making him stop in shock, then when he realized it was me, he bowed his head in respect and I smiled, knowing that I couldn't do anything about the submission I get from others.

"How are you feeling, Celine?" He asked me, his lips in a frown as his eyes roamed my face, trying their hardest to read me, I sighed and shrugged.

"How am I supposed to feel?" I asked, with a single brow raised, this time he sighed and shrugged, I chuckled dryly.

"Hey, can you lead me to the dungeon, where my ma-I mean Dustin's held?" I asked him, his eyes widened in disbelief but thankfully he didn't state his opinion, instead he nodded his head and moved to the side, letting me pass.

Once we reached the gray door to the dungeon, you could tell what the room was used for by the stench of death and dried blood.

I scrunched up my face and moved out of the way, so that Fin could open the door, and once he did, a breeze hit me making me cough, the terrible odor invading my nostrils.

I bit my lip and composed myself, while Fin placed his hand on my back and guided me to Dustin's cell.

His scent lingered near his room, which was in the far end of the dungeon. I couldn't bear to look at any other room because I hated seeing people locked up, innocent or guilty.

"Here we are." Fin said, his lips curled in disgust as he opened the door revealing Dustin and Marina, I gulped and bit my lip as their heads snapped our way, to look at who entered.

"Thank you." I said, he nodded and shut the door right after I entered the room with my hands hugging my upper body nervously.

"H-hi Marina." I stuttered out, biting my lip once I finished speaking, I watched as her eyes narrowed making my heart clench.

"Hi? You were telling me to leave before and now you say hi?!" She asks angrily, sitting up from the ground and making my stomach churn, I sighed and shook my head.

"You don't understand." I whispered, trying my hardest to act as if I can't feel the burning glare my mate is sending my way.

"What is there to understand? The fact that you want us to leave, say's enough! And now were arrested!" She yelled out in disbelief, I gasped and dropped my hands angrily, feeling my blood boil, she stumbled back.

"You aren't arrested! He is! You shouldn't have come here, and by you, I mean Dustin! I wanted you to leave because I knew what would happen! But now, I think that it should happen, because clearly you and  your brother are the same! I left for a reason and I didn't want to be found." I snapped angrily, my hands flying around with my words, her eyes softened once she realized that she was in the wrong.

"That's cute, real cute." Dustin said darkly, his words making my head snap to his, something in me missed his husky voice, even though it scares me.

"My own mate wants me arrested, and now she's yelling at my sister, thats real cute." He said, his lips flipping into a snarl making me take a step back, I shook my head nervously.

"Marina, I didn't mean to sound rude." I whispered, unable to keep my gaze off my mates, who was staring at me like I was the gum at the bottom of his shoe, in disgust.

"It's okay, I understand, and I'm sorry, I shouldn't've reacted the way I did, I was just shocked and afraid." She replied, her words genuine making me smile and turn my gaze to her's.

"Why are you sorry Marina? She should be, look at what she's doing!" Dustin yelled out angrily, his words echoing through the cell, I snapped my head to his side, sending the darkest glare his way.

"Shut up!" I yelled out, my voice no longer my own, dripping with the authority of both a Princess and a Luna, his jaw clenched as his head bowed, nobody could disrespect a Royal, even an idiot know's that.

"Marina could you get Fin to direct you to my room, while I have a chat with my mate?" I asked her, keeping my gaze on the man who still had his head bowed, I heard her gasp but nevertheless her footsteps and the shut door indicated her leave.

I walked closer to Dustin with a tilted head, my eyes trying to read him while remaining alert for anything.

I placed my hand under his chin, the same way he did to me once and gripped it tightly, allowing the nails of my wolf to escape from the top of my fingers and dig into his skin.

He groaned and I raised his head up to look directly at me, I licked my lips and blew at his face making him glare at me.

"How does it feel, baby?" I asked him, my voice dripping with hate and anger, while my fingers pushed deeper into his skin, he smirked and growled lowly.

"You're going to have to try harder then that." He spat out, I chuckled darkly and smirked, pulling my nails out of his skin and allowing them to trail over his cheek, which was slightly covered with stubble.

I felt the sparks tingle through my fingers but I thought nothing of it, my body was no longer my own right now.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk." I whispered, keeping our gazes locked, while his orbs darkened going from his beautiful ocean blue to black.

I don't know how it happened, but he managed to tug me closer to him and suddenly we were face to face, our lips inches apart from one another.

I gasped but my fingers never left his warm cheek as they trailed up and down, his lips tugged in a smirk.

He managed to bend me down, so our faces were too close for comfort, how? I don't know, but this is Dustin Cadman.

All I could smell was him, and all I could see was him.

I watched as his head slowly bent closer towards me, but he didn't kiss me, he placed his nose at the corner of my mouth and trailed it closer to my ear, slowly making me take in a shaky breath.

Loving the feeling he was giving me as he inhaled my scent and suddenly his lips were right next to my ear and his breath was fanning it, sending shivers down my spine.

"Once I leave here, you're coming back to your cell, baby." He threatened before placing a small kiss next to my ear and pushing me away from him, I snapped my eyes open and suddenly all I saw was rage.

"Do you know who I am!" Something in me asked, my voice deep and dark, my eyes felt wide and all I saw was red.

I pulled back my arm and angrily sent it back his way, and all you could hear was the loud slap that echoed through his cell from the impact of my hand and his cheek.

And sadly, I both loved and hated it.
