"I have him, don't worry." I said menacingly.

The man with masked emotions glared at me in uncertainty, making my blood boil.

"I said don't worry! That dumb girl won't know what hit her." Then a booming laugh echoed the room as I shook my head.

Celine p.o.v

"She's going to be okay."

"I hope she will."

"She will, trust me." The voices kept talking and I groaned as I twisted my body around, little stings of heat burning my sides slightly.

"Hey Celine, open your eyes." Marina's worried voice said in a whisper, her hands placed on my forearm while shaking it slightly, and I did, I slowly opened my eyes.

"W-what happened?" I asked while trying to sit up, I gripped my stomach and groaned, I felt like throwing up.

I watched as Marina looked across me and gave a look, I turned my head to see what she was looking at and saw a concerned Elijah.

Then the events of before came to mind, the burning, the crying, the whining, the growling, the pain and the howling. I bit my lip and gulped.

"Don't tell me, I already know." I quickly said, cutting off whatever Marina was about to say, she gave me a crooked frown while shaking her head, I shrugged.

"Are you okay?" Elijah's soft voice said from beside me making me turn my head, my brows rose.

"I'll be fine, I will always be fine." I replied in a soft tone, dropping my gaze from him and looking back in front of me. He sighed.

"Hey, Celine, it'll all be okay, alright?" Marina said making my head snap her way angrily, she looked taken back.

"How? How will it be okay? Tell me, I would love to know because the reality is that it will not be okay, not now, not ever!" I yelled out angrily, watching as tears welled up in her eyes, my shoulders slumped.

"I-I'm sorry." I quickly stuttered out, regretting my sudden outburst, which she didn't deserve, she was only trying to help.

She sniffed and shook her head, I sighed.

"No, its alright, your right anyway." She mumbled out in pity for me, I bit my lip and sat up, the pain disappearing but ever so slightly.

She watched my movements and I turned to my side with furrowed brows.

"Can I eat?" I asked in a whisper, not wanting to anger anyone, especially Dustin for eating in his pack house.

She looked at me in disbelief, I shrunk back.

"What kind of question is that? Of course you can, Elijah, lets go, and Celine you need any help?" She asked kindly, I shook my head and slowly pushed my body off the bed, I groaned and held my back, she noticed and threw her hands around me, holding me steady. I smiled and watched as Elijah made way to my side, helping me as well.

"Thank you guys." I said under my breath as they guided me out the room, they both shook their heads.

"Don't ever thank us." Elijah quickly said and Marina nodded, my heart felt warm, their friendship was all I needed here.

I looked around the halls, everything was wooden and the rug felt soft under my bare feet.

I looked at the walls and saw only pictures of nature and a single family picture, which made my brows furrow, did the alpha have a soul?

I returned my vision to the front of me when I realized we were walking down steps, a lot of people were downstairs, my cheeks flushed and heart sped up in discomfort and fear.

I felt Elijah's breath fan my ear as he neared me, a shiver ran down my back.

"Don't worry, were here." He whispered making my tense bones relax, but my heart didn't stop speeding.

Once we made it down everyone turned their gazes to us, making me drop my own and allow Elijah and Marina to guide me to the kitchen.

I felt the holes they burnt on my head, making me play with my fingers in fear.

"Stop staring all of you!" Marina yelled out in some kind of authority making my head snap up as everyones gaze quickly left me.

I smiled and looked at Marina and mouthed a thank you, she smiled back and shook her head.

A couple of turns after, we finally made it to the kitchen, Elijah pulled out a chair for me and I sat down, then he pushed me in.

"Thank you." I whispered and watched as he shook his head, then took a seat beside me, I bit my bottom lip and shrugged.

Marina went to one of the workers, to ask them to cook something, then a familiar scent made my gaze quickly drop, panic erupting in me.

"Hey, you okay?" Elijah asked me in worry, while placing a hand on my shoulder, I shook my head, we heard footsteps enter the room and the scent got stronger.

I raised my gaze a little, only to see Elijah snapping his head up to see who was causing me discomfort. Then his hand tensed on my shoulder, my breathing coming out labored.

"Hey, Celine their making you food, sit still for a mo-" she paused once she realized who was in the room, I heard her growl lowly making Dustin growl back at her.

I sighed and shook my head, placing my hands on my lap and twisting my fingers around nervously.

"Why is she here?" He spat out in disgust, I felt his glare burn holes on my back, making me shrink in my seat, Elijah's hold on my shoulder tightened in reassurance, but for what?

"She is here to eat and she is your mate!" She yelled out at him making me flinch and shut my eyes, more problems being caused by me.

I raised my head and looked at Elijah, who was looking at me with worry etching his features, I sighed.

"She is not my mate! She never will be!" He growled out angrily making me whimper as sudden pain stretched my stomach inside me.

"Are you okay?" Elijah quickly asked me, making everyones attention turn to me, I gulped and quickly nodded my head, trying to hide behind the tangles of my hair.

"Hey Celine, come here." Marina said making my brows furrow, my hands becoming clammy as I wiped them on my sweatpants.

Elijah squeezed my shoulder and nodded, I did too and slowly I pushed my chair back and got up.

I fisted my hands and turned around hesitantly, my stomach dropping, I felt nauseous.

I looked at Marina and walked to her, my legs probably trembling due to the fear that was swimming inside me because his angry gaze remained on me.

She held out her hand and I took it, my brows furrowing in confusion, what was she doing?

She turned me around quickly to face Dustin, and I shut my eyes, not wanting to look at him as my breathing quickened.

She held me tightly and shook her head. I opened my eyes but kept my gaze on the ground, away from Dustin's.

"You see this girl?" Marina pointed out making Dustin growl, I felt my body shake in fear, wondering why she was doing this.

"You don't deserve her as a mate!" She yelled out at him making my eyes widen, oh no, I heard his booming growl echo through the kitchen, suddenly I was thankful no one was here.

"She is the most strongest and nicest girl out there, and you-you don't deserve her!" She explained loudly making my stomach drop as I shook my head, Dustin's laugh suddenly causing my head to snap up and look at him, glaring back at me.

"Strong?" He asked while tilting his head, I felt Marina nod beside me, I licked my lips while gulping.

Before I knew it, I was grabbed by Dustin and suddenly caged between his arms, my whole body trembling.

Marina's eyes widened and she looked at me apologetically, then she snapped a glare Dustin's way, I watched as Elijah walked up to us and next to Marina, looking at me warily.

"Strong?" He asked again while tightening his hold painfully on my body, I whined out and bit my lip, his hold bringing pain and sparks to my body.

"Do you see how she is trembling? Her whole body literally thrashing around. Nothing is strong about her, she is weak! Weak and pathetic!" He yelled out making my eyes shut as tears welled up again, Marina growled and Elijah couldn't do anything, I knew why.

He let go of me and threw me roughly to the ground making me groan and snap my eyes open while tears slowly slid down, he smirked.

Then he snapped his head to glare at Marina, she ran to my side and hugged me, but I pulled away and pushed myself up, she looked at me in confusion.

"I'm so sorry." She whispered but I shook my head and sobbed out while wiping my tears.

She stood up and reached for me, but I pulled back quickly, I couldn't do this.

"Don't apologize to her Marina, she doesn't deserve it." Dustin spat out making my stomach churn, Marina shook her head and growled at Dustin.

I turned around and made way to the door slowly, tears glossing my vision making it harder to see.

"Aren't you gonna eat?" Marina asked from behind me making me halt in my tracks as I sniffed back, I turned my head to the side to see Dustin already glaring at me, of course. I shook my head.

"I lost my appetite." I said in what I hoped was a strong voice, but instead it cracked in the end and I quickly snapped my teary gaze in front of me and continued my snail paced walking.

"This is all your fault Dust-"

"No it isn't, its my own." I quickly cut her off before finally leaving the kitchen, once again thankful that nobody was around this hall.

My heart was breaking once again, and one day I just hope it could be pieced back together.
