I held the gun in my hand behind my back, covered by only my figure.

I watched as Alavert and Lic laughed and talked, joking around with one another, making my stomach drop. How could I do this?

I was so tempted to turn around and leave, but I thought of my son and his life, and knew that this was the right choice, no matter what.

"Hey Alavert!" I called out, trying to lure him in with my smile, both Lic and him turned to their sides to see who called.

They smiled brightly when they saw me, I sent one back tightly and motioned for only Alavert to come.

He turned to Lic and she nodded while waving him off, I bit my lip to prevent a chuckle while tightening the hold I had on my gun.

I watched as he kissed Lic on the cheek, and tears threatened to well up in my eyes, then he turned my way and ran to me with a happy look.

I took in a shaky breath and slowly exhaled, shaking away my anxiousness and fear.

Once he reached me he exhaled and chuckled while shaking his head, I bit my lip.

"Now that-was a workout." He mumbled out sarcastically making me fake a chuckle through my built up nerves. He noticed and furrowed his brows, my heart clenched.

"Are you okay? Whats wrong?" He asked in all seriousness, I sniffed back some moisture from my nose and thought of a lie.

"R-rogues are here, on our grounds on the far back of the woods, I need your help to defeat them." I stated while my voice quivered, but I managed to make this sound realistic, and tightened my hold on the gun once again.

I watched as his face hardened and fists clenched, I gulped.

"Lets go." He said in determination before leading us to the far back of the woods, my legs turning to jello because of all the regret burning inside me.

Once we reached the far back Alavert sniffed the air to track the scent, his brows furrowed when he found nothing. I licked my dry lips, time to act.

"Are you sure, it was here?" He asked while walking before me, letting me stand behind him where I'm safe and no one can see me. I gulped.

"Yes, h-here." I said while I raised the hand with the gun up and pointed to his back, I watched him carefully while my hands shook, as well as the gun.

Tears welled up in my eyes and started trailing out in both fear, regret and pity, I watched as he clicked his tongue and turned around.

His eyes widened once he saw me, the gulp evident as his adams apple bobbed up then down.

I also gulped and used one hand to wipe the tears from my face, then I sniffed and used both hands to grip the shaky gun once again.

I glued my glossy gaze to his as he glared at me in confusion, while he motioned his hands in surrender, my heart broke.

"I-I'm sorry." I whispered while shaking my head and sobbing out, he shook his head and furrowed his brows.

"Put it down Cel." He said in a soft voice, his hands also trembling but not as rapidly as mine, my stomach dropped.

"He'll kill my son." I said in a whisper while raising my brow, he sighed in defeat, knowing I would do anything for my son.

I gulped as I watched him slowly approach me, my brows furrowed and suddenly he lunged forward, but he didn't get far.

Out of instinct I quickly pulled the trigger and due to the silence I knew there was a silencer on it.

I shut my eyes tightly once he groaned loudly, my heart burning as the sudden hatred for myself erupted in me.

I opened my eyes when I heard his body thud on the ground loudly, I dropped the gun to my side and ran up to his fallen body.

Cries erupting from my mouth as I wrapped my hands around him, watching as his blood encircled us.

"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry." I kept repeating in a defeated tone as I rocked us back and forth, the emotions taking tole on my body.

I looked at his once big bright smile and tan face, which turned both purple and white because the contact with the silver bullet to his heart, instantly killed him.

My stomach dropped as I processed what I had become, a murderer.

I sobbed out loudly as I bent my head down to kiss his forehead, his cold forehead.

"Please, forgive me?" I asked in a small whisper, my heart beating at an incredibly fast pace. I licked my dry lips and tasted the salt from my tears.

With one last glance, I stood up from the ground and dusted myself off.

I slowly walked to my gun and bent down to pick it up, my heart still beating at a fast pace but I felt dead inside.

I then ran to tell Lic the news and bring her to her own fate.

"Lic! Lic! I need your help!" I yelled out loud once I reached the same spot as before, she spun around as the group of friends surrounding her gasped at my bloodied appearance.

Tears welled up in her eyes evidently as she ran towards me, her head searching frantically for that one special person, who I had killed.

She bent down while sobbing loudly, her shoulders violently shaking.

My hands shook as I once again found myself in the same position as before, gripping the gun before me, pointing at the sobbing mate.

My hands continued shaking in regret, I shut my eyes tightly and pulled the trigger, I stumbled back a bit and cried out, my eyes still shut tightly.

"Why?" Lic asked in a whimper before she too fell to the ground making my stomach drop. I opened my eyes slowly to stare at the fallen mates.

I dropped my gun and threw my hands to my mouth, fear swirling in the pit of my stomach as I watched them bleed out while shaking my head, my body trembled rapidly.

My eyes frantically looked from Alavert to Lic, Lia wanted to scream and I-I just wanted to live a regular life, but I couldn't. I was and still am a murderer.

When I opened my eyes, my whole entire body felt sore but I noticed I wasn't chained up anymore.

Instead, I had a regular metal chain around my ankle, keeping me chained to a pole in the dark corner of the room.

My stomach growled loudly, and I tried to contact Lia but I still couldn't.

My brows furrowed, was Elijah my guard for today?

"Elijah?" I whispered out, hoping he heard if he was out there, I sighed in defeat when I heard no answer back.

I cowered back into the wall and leaned my head up against it, then I heard footsteps outside of my door but I didn't bother to acknowledge them.

I shut my eyes and shook my head, feeing my wild hair ruffle around behind me, the door slowly creaked open making my eyes snap open to see who it is.

I lowered my gaze and watched as Elijah slowly shut the door and calmly walked in, I let out a breath of relief and smiled, he did too.

"How are you?" He asked me while scrunching up his face, my breathing hitched as I fisted my hands and smiled while nodding.

"I'm okay." I replied in a whisper feeling my heart tug at my words, he shook his head while walking closer to me.

"I heard your screams yesterday, you aren't okay." He protested in frustration, while bending on his knee, to be leveled with me. I frowned and lowered my gaze.

"Celine, you can be honest with me all the time, and if you need a shoulder, I'm here for you and just because I can't get you out of here, it doesn't mean, I don't care for you." He claimed in a soft tone making me raise my head slowly to look at him. His eyes were showing how genuine his words really were, my heart clenched as I smiled.

"Thank you. I'm just so used to keeping my feelings to myself, it's become a habit by now." I whispered apologetically, he narrowed his eyes and shook his head.

"I know." He mumbled making my eyes widen at his words, he bit his lip when he realized what he said.

"What do you mean?" I asked while my breathing started speeding up, he noticed and sighed in defeat.

"I know all about you Celine, I'm a hybrid, a werewolf and a sighter. I can see someone's past and present but I can't see the future." He explained in a small voice making my stomach drop.

"Please, don't tell my pack I'm here. Please." I begged in a sad voice watching as his face softened.

"I won't, you can trust me." He said surely making me sigh in relief, he was really genuine with his words my heart clenched.

No one was this nice to me besides Alavert and Lic, I bit my lip at the mention of them.

Elijah and I were just staring at each other, and suddenly the door was creaking open slowly making Elijah jump up and onto his feet.

I lowered my gaze in fear and leaned back into the wall, the sudden alluring scent hit me making me take a long sniff of the air.

Mate, mate!

Lia was suddenly back and jumping up and down happily, but I was just terrified. I blocked her out this time.

"Alpha." Elijah said in a low voice making my brows furrow, were they all so submissive to him?

I rolled my eyes at my dumb words, he's an alpha and he's the most feared one too, of course they would submit to him.

"Elijah, get out of this room. I need to speak with the prisoner." He spat out in a low and deep voice, making me stomach drop as I cowered further into the cold wall, hoping to disappear.

"As you wish." Elijah said before dismissing footsteps were heard in the room, making my beating heart quicken as I shut my eyes to block the world out.

Then the door closed shut and my breathing came out in pants. The alpha's footsteps heard as he approached me, but I couldn't open my eyes.

He clicked his tongue once he neared me making me flinch, then he gripped my chin roughly and snapped my head up to look at him, I whimpered from the pain he brought me but my eyes remain shut.

"Open your eyes." He ordered in a strict and alpha tone making them snap open at their own accord, I frowned.

He looked scary yet gorgeous and I just wanted to bang my head against the wall because of the thoughts I was having.

"I found out something." He said in a teasing yet hard voice making my eyes widen, my gulp easily heard in this empty room, he smirked.

Did he find out where I'm from? Will he bring me back to them? My heart speeding up at every thought and my chest going up then falling rapidly.

He noticed and his hand tightened on my jaw making me whimper once again, the pain traveling all around my head and neck, sparks joining in too making this experience more hateful.

"I found out that you're my mate, you! Can you believe that?" He asked me in an angered voice as he spat his words out in disgust making my heart shatter.

I gulped while biting my lip, trying my hardest not to cry at his words and even though I hated him, our bond made his true feelings hurt more then ever.

"Out of all the mates I could have, the moon goddess chose you." He spat out in a loud and booming voice making me cower back, but not get far due to his hold on my chin.

His empty hand clenched and unclenched slowly making my eyes widen, was he going to punch me?

My thoughts were answered once his hand swung and hit me right on my jaw. My hands flew up to my cheek, he didn't move his own from my face.

I screamed out as the pain enveloped my whole head, I cried out once more before tears managed to find their way down my face. He smirked.

"You see, your so weak." He whispered in disappointment making my heart clench, my cheek throbbing.

I sobbed in his hold and he just glared my way before opening his mouth and saying something that made the whole world stop.

"I, Dustin Cadman, reject you, Celine, as my mate."
