one hundred twelve.

THIRD PERSON POV

An angry wolf stormed into the dungeon where all the cells were located; nobody was able to stop him, since the whole pack has gone astray and in hiding.

He could sense the darkness behind each cell, almost as if tainted by something; but he noticed, that every cell was splattered in blood.

Limbs thrown around carelessly and lifeless bodies tossed to the side; all ripped apart, missing parts that only someone inhumane would rid of.

Axel walked cautiously — his eyes narrowed and brows furrowed, completely unsure of what he was doing there.

He heard low growls; and loud panting, he sensed another beings presence in the last cell and quickly made way towards it in determination.

He stalked through the open door and almost collided with a broad, furry back; his eyes were wide as he gazed at the creature before him.

"Dustin." He spat out in disgust — his whole face scrunched up at the smell of death and blood.

The beast turned around, sweat glistening under the dim light of the only lamp in the cell — a lifeless body, coated in red blood laid behind him.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Axel asked incredulously, his heart beating as anger rode through his body in waves — the beast grunted, blood dripping down his naked, furry torso down to his jean clothed legs.

"Avenging my Mate." The voice that answered was unfamiliar to Axel's ears — much hoarser and deeper; the voice of Dustin's wolf, Rile.

"You are the person that brought her to her death Dustin, you have no right to be trying to clean your slate with her! The person avenging her should be me and I shall start with you!" Axel spat out, his fists clenched and his eyes narrowing angrily — claws elongated and pierced through the skin of his calloused palms but he didn't acknowledge it.

Rile let out an offended growl, his lungs tightening and his stomach churning — he hated being treated this way because of Dustin.

"You're incorrect! None of this was my doing. It was Dustin's!" Rile protested, his voice echoed through every cell — almost shaking the walls. Axel let out a humorless chuckle.

"Oh Rile, do you forget that you are a part of Dustin? You are his other-half. What he does, goes back to you as well. You could've changed his feelings, and made him think differently, but you allowed him to block you, and that makes you accountable for her death!" Axel explained, his voice getting louder and shaking the floor beneath them — his authority making Riles knees shake.

"I am not accountable for anything! You try being a part of that monster, you try holding back your craving for your Mate! You try fighting off a man whose family tarnished his mind, and made him mad! It's not easy, and it definitely isn't easy breaking a block forced closed by witches that help him fight me off." Rile stated, his chest rising and falling too quickly — his eyes watered but he held back a breakdown, Axel let out a humorless chuckle.

"You're a monster as well, do not forget that. My family and I know of the things you've done, and the people you've killed. Why do you think your pack has the highest rank and is practically untouchable! You are no better then him!" Axel countered, making Rile lower his gaze as he belittled him.

"No." Rile grit out, his fists clenched tightly and his eyes completely narrowed — Axel chuckled whilst nodding his head.

"I am not like him! I am not who he makes me out to be! People claim that I am the monster when in reality, it isn't me, Dustin just uses his witches — like I've already told you, and sucks out my strength making it combine with his forcefully; which is like shifting forcefully. It almost killed me the first time he tried it, and as he continued I've felt myself getting weaker." Rile explained sadly, his brows furrowing and his voice cracking in the middle of every sentence.

"I've never had a choice. The witches power was too strong to fight against, and every fight brought me closer to my death. I fought my hardest to stay alive and a part of him, to help him find his Mate — all in hopes of him changing and claiming his humanity. But finding his Mate triggered his past and made him worse. Celine's death made his shift trigger all over again — it helped me come out. Now I'm avenging her." Rile continued hopelessly, Axel shook his head as he listened.

"And by avenging her you choose to kill all these people? Do you think she'll want that?" Axel asked with widened eyes — Rile licked his lips while rubbing his claws through his knotted hair.

"No, but this is for me. It helps me regain my strength." Rile answered pathetically, this made Axel growl lowly — his authority rising once again.

"I am trying my hardest to see past your human's mistakes, but here you are, digging a grave deep enough for the both of you." Axel grit out, his cheeks flushing in complete disgust and anger, as he fought against the control of his enraged wolf.

"I need this! This is my pack, what I do here is none of anyone's concern! I am the Alpha. I will not be belittled or made a fool of. I have made mistakes but I try to fix them! All of these people were bound to die — I just brought them to their deaths quicker." This time Axel sensed Dustin's presence by the way Riles hoarse voice got smoother.

"Dustin." Axel grit out, watching the beasts eyes before him change from the emotionless crimson orbs to a dark-blue — a malicious smirk tugging on his lips.

"I've been waiting for this." Axel told him before slamming the door to the cell behind him shut and stepping closer to Dustin — whose once furry body was now back to normal.

UNKNOWN POV

"I've done as you would've wanted father. Since the beginning I've been watching her, guiding her to him — to her death." I whispered almost frantically whilst watching the waterfall across me — the night sky almost taunting as it rumbled.

"I placed my shirt here; induced with my magic — bonding myself to her, and bringing the spirit closer. I made her face danger and torture; over and over again, and I will not rest until the rest of the Royal bloodline is ruined." I claimed angrily, slamming my fist on the large rock I sat on — the shirt that was once always popping up on this rock, tarnished; seeing as it no longer held a purpose.

"He will not see happiness in the future he tried to create. He will burn in the hell that I will create for him — I will avenge you!" I yelled out through heavy sobs — my body overcome with a variety of emotions as the sky continued rumbling; the Moon getting angrier making me chuckle through my despair.

"I will avenge you!" I yelled out one last time, louder then before — shaking the trees and sending crows flying south, all shrieking and cawing unbearably; making my groan out whilst running my hands through my hair.

"óloi péftoun" and they did. One by one each of the black crows that blended in with the night sky went falling directly into the stream before me — lifeless and completely dead as bits of water splashed everywhere, only angering the Moon more, bringing a sinister smile to my face.
