one hundred seven.
It was a cold night. Filled with a thunderous sky with cackling lightning — the Moon Goddess was laughing at the wolves, because she was amused at the nights happenings.
She laughed at the wolves that mourned, she laughed at the wolves that were making way to BloodLine and she laughed at the horrific beast she had created. But she did not laugh at the dead Mate.
She mourned the girl that she had created so purely and out of complete rawness. The gentle beauty she had given to the world for all to see and the tender heart that she had given for her to bare. The girl that was supposed to have it all but was destined for a life of heartbreak that not even her creator could save her from.
She had dropped a daisy into a war and she did not look back, not even when she heard her cries of despair. Not even now, when she knows that the girl is trapped in her own torturous memories as the spirit slowly takes control of her body.
The Moon Goddess can not save her....
(CELINES MEMORY)
"No! Please no! Father don't!" I begged him not to, I grabbed onto his ankles and tried tugging him away from the small cabin but his build was too strong and my wolf was too weak to help. Pointy rocks scratched the skin of my knees and ankles, but I managed to hold back cries.
"Let go you pathetic vermin!" He yelled at me, looking down his shoulder with a familiar evil look lingering in his eyes as he glared at me, I flinched but did not let go even as he started kicking me violently.
I screamed out breathlessly a countless number of times as his foot came in contact with my stomach on repeat, I had trouble breathing but the sound of the heavy wind around us kept me conscious.
I heaved and gasped for air as the void night sky closed in on me, his kicks got stronger and I could feel the tips of his pointy leather shoes dig deeply into my stomach up to the point where I could literally feel it inside of me, by this point my cries were muted and my hands were encircled around my stomach to protect it, and I was rolled into a fetal position.
He growled out but my eyes were shut tight and tears were burning to pool out of them. I heaved heavily and panted as my body held back arching in pain. I felt beaten and defeated.
And when I opened my eyes my father was gone and the sky was gray, I watched his figure fade away as he walked to the front of the cabin with a heavy heart and wet cheeks.
I shook my head and struggled to sit up, my body burned an hurt with every little move and I had to bite deeply into my bottom lip to keep from screaming loudly.
She was only able to watch as her father threw a lighter at the cabin and suddenly everything exploded. She screamed loudly and lurched forward, fisting some grass and rocks and throwing them back angrily. She cried out while shaking her head at the sight, screams ripped through her sore throat.
"No! HOW COULD YOU?!" She yelled out in a broken voice, her heart was hammering as she glared at her father through very glossy vision. He smirked before using his wolf-speed to run away from the horrific scene. Celine was left alone. Hurt both emotionally and physically as she cried before the burnt cabin which was still burning with bright, orange flames that glowed onto her skin and reflected onto her chocolaty orbs.
She sobbed helplessly while gripping onto her stomach in pain, tears dripped from her chin down to her neck. She tried standing but she fell back with a groan and threw a weak punch at the rocky ground.
"Alfonzo." She whispered breathlessly , her words traveled with the loud wind towards the burning flames that only got larger as it ate up the whole cabin she had called home. With that last word, her body collapsed and she fell limp with tears that still lingered on her cheeks.
The Moon Goddess only watched from afar with a deep frown but she did nothing other then watch the scene unfold...
End of Memory
Dustin always tended to allow anger to lead him. He was created to be a strong ruler, hence the reason he was given the Alpha title in the first place, that and the fact that his father was both a biased and sexist man.
Throughout the years, Dustin grew into a Beast of his fathers influence and making. He had no space for love in his heart and he was too deep into his own man-made hell to accept love from any woman. Even his own Mate.
Yes, Celine was his second Mate, but she was only ever the truest one. Amalia, his dead girlfriend claimed to be his Mate five years ago but when he found out she wasn't, he ended up instinctively killing her and hating every other woman to come, especially the one that was truly his Moon given Mate. He didn't care about anyone.
His sister Marina, never got a single glimpse of the life her brother had, which was completely different to hers. She lived like a princess, whereas he lived like a prisoner. But once they both reached a certain age, Marina's majestic life took a spiral and she - for a second - forgot what her fathers love felt like.
(MARINA'S MEMORY)
"Marina! Dustin! Come to my office now!" I jumped at the sound of my fathers booming voice as it echoed on the walls of my freshly painted room, I placed my golden hairbrush on top of my wooden vanity before curiously leaving my bedroom, I silently walked to my fathers office with wobbly knees.
Once I stood before the dominating black door, I inhaled shakily and knocked once on the wooden door, the small sound echoed in my ears as I nervously waited for my permission to enter, slowly the door creaked open and my heart fell into my stomach.
"Hello f-father." I greeted sweetly, I loved my dad but when he had a face as serious as the one he held now — I knew he had bad news to share and a shorter temper then usual, he nodded his head; due to this motion his graying black hair tumbled forward and his bushy eyebrows furrowed.
As I looked closer at him I noticed things I've never seen before, his frown lines were deeper then usual, his eyes were bloodshot and his under eye bags looked deadly — his face was pale and it just looked bad. I gulped worriedly and felt my brows furrow. He looked scarier and if I wasn't his daughter and unaware of his Alpha title, I would've mistaken him for a bloodsucker. That thought made me shudder but before I could overthink this, the sound of the door slamming shut behind me shook me back to reality.
"Finally. Thank you for gracing us with your presence Dustin." The way my father said my bothers name made me frown, it was filled with hate and distaste, completely different then normal. In fact this whole day was odder then usual and it scared me. My brother lowered his head before letting a small, whisper of a growl slip — thankfully only I heard it.
"Well you must know what I called you in for, don't you?" He asked us with narrowed eyes which darkened as he looked intensely at Dustin, I inhaled shakily before shrugging in confusion; I did not know why I was called here, in fact I don't even think Dustin knows.
"Is this about Marina claiming the Alpha title?" Dustin asked curiously while rubbing his sharp jaw, his lowered head made his dark hair; similar to my fathers fall forwards and hide his oceanic-colored eyes — I sighed happily as I remembered that I turned of age two days ago and that I can finally rightfully claim my Alpha title — my wide eager eyes gazed at my father hopefully but his gaze was glued to Dustin which made my face fall a bit.
"No." He answered quickly, his mouth was set in a thin line and his shoulders were squared, I swallowed roughly and my lips straightened in both confusion and disappointment, my father sighed heavily while Dustin let out a small 'huh?'.
"This is about you claiming the Alpha title." His next words made a growl rip through my throat, my fathers head snapped my way angrily and I refrained from screaming out, my eyes welled up and I felt my heart fall, this is mine!
"No, its my title rightfully! I'm your eldest child, you can't take that away from me!" I told him desperately while clutching my chest, my wolf Nina was blocked out this whole time but once I unblocked her she was sitting in a corner in my mind; howling and not willing to converse — she could feel the immense loss we had to bare.
"I can do whatever I want, you better understand that! The Alpha title is rightfully given to the man heir, not a little girl, so of course I can take it away from you! It should not even be a surprise to who shall receive the title!" His words made me stumble back, my lips were in a frown while tears of betrayal flowed down my cheeks, I gripped my chest which suddenly felt tight and looked at Dustin through my glossy eyes, he looked as confused as I was.
"Fine! Whatever, you can have it. I hope you're pleased with this wrong doing father." I growled out in distaste, and no mater how strong I wanted to sound my voice came out weak and broken, my father chuckled menacingly while narrowing his eyes at me, I gulped while letting out a small whimper.
"I am happy. But whether or not you were willing did not matter, I would've killed you if I had to." He replied hatefully, his black eyes burned deep into my soul and my heart felt like it was being gripped by a large hand and squeezed tightly, I was panting by now with wide eyes and shaky knees — what is wrong with him? Why is he hurting me?
"You're a monster." I whispered fearfully, my hands were shaking and I was still gazing at him with wide eyes, he chuckled while standing up from his seat and clapping his hands, then he bowed making me flinch.
"And I am the best damn monster in the world." He confirmed with black veins circling around his neck, I shuddered before running out of his office and into my room as quick as my wolf could take me, my heart was broken and my tears continued pooling out of my eyes on repeat.
My father was a demon and this is the first time I truly met him.
End of Memory
And so the pain remained forever inside of her but she never showed it, she kept it hidden and allowed Dustin to freely become the Alpha he is today; so maybe it was her fault that he killed over millions of innocent people, and maybe it was her fault her father hated her...
Dustin had no idea of his sisters mindset but he loved her, even though he never showed it.
He can learn to love everyone, but he knows he can never learn to love himself or the Beast inside of him.
