eighty five.

"Celine, are you hungry by any chance?" Marina asked as she walked into the room, I shrugged and ran my hands through my damp hair, basking in the fact that I'm finally clean.

"Come on, I know you are — I haven't seen you eat since Goddess know's when." She said before walking closer towards me and taking hold of my hand, I gasped and reluctantly nodded my head.

"Good." She stated while giving me a stern look and pulling me with her out of her room, I couldn't help but feel my knees wobble.

I was scared, I can't even deny it.

"What's wrong?" She asked softly, this time letting go of my hand and standing beside me as we walked, I gulped and hugged my upper body.

"I'm so scared, Marina... so scared." I whispered croakily, feeling my throat clog up as I thought of everything thats been happening in my messed up life, Marina sighed and tensed up beside me.

"Me too." Was her broken response and oddly enough, I found truth in her words — especially when I looked at her through the corner of my eye to see her fallen face and frowning lips making my stomach churn.

"I just — I don't know what to do anymore. I might not even have long until I pass and the spirit takes over completely-" I paused to take in a shaky breath, feeling my heartbeat increase.

"I can feel it, you know? I can feel its anger and rage, I can feel every emotion of mine that its managed to twist into something so sick — killing my wolf in the process." I continued slowly, tapping my fingers against my arms as I hugged myself comfortingly — my voice was hoarse and thick with fallen emotions.

"I want — I want to be able to live and love freely, but everything I do has a consequence, good or bad. Everyday I have an inner battle with myself, I hallucinate like crazy and I can feel my life slipping away and I-" I paused when a sob managed to escape my lips instead of words before taking a deep breath.

"I don't want to die, Marina. I really don't. I just started living and it's not fair to me. I have a son Marina, a baby boy and he lost his mother twice, I can't bare having him alone in this cruel, cruel world. I don't want him to have the kind of life I did, I would love to give him the life I could've had, but I can't — everyone knows that I can't because I'm dying — I am so close to my own grave but the funny part is, my body will still be here but it won't be controlled by me. I don't want that — I-I don't wanna leave, not yet." I continued and by now I had paused, I wasn't moving and I wasn't even looking at anything other then the ground as I watched my tears fall onto the wooden floor rapidly.

"That won't h-happen. We'll try to do something!" Marina replied angrily, I scoffed and shook my head before wiping my tears away and raising my head to look at her own tearstained face.

"What?! What can we do to save me, that we haven't tried already?! Tell me, Marina because I would love to know!" I yelled out, my stomach clenching tightly as I struggled breathing. She sobbed and shook her head.

"I don't want to give you or myself false hope — and honestly, I lost hope long ago, and you should too." I whispered in a hoarse voice, feeling my throat get scratchy making me cough, she sighed and shook her head while cleaning her face with her hands, I looked away from her sadly.

"You know what? Let's just go eat and for one day, lets forget about this — this spirit inside of you." Marina stated sternly, I took in a shaky breath and hesitantly turned my gaze her way, she was still upset and her glossy eyes showed it, but she held a broken smile that I couldn't say 'no' to, so I nodded slowly.

And then we continued walking through the empty hallway, and down the stairs where a couple of pack members were chatting, and having fun.

Nobody paid me any mind and I was happy for that, I was happy that I could for once not be the center of attention.

Slowly we made it to the kitchen, where two Omega's were cleaning and cooking, both doing separate jobs. I licked my dry lips as I sat on a chair near the dining table, with Marina sitting beside me.

"What would you like to eat?" Marina asked politely, I sighed and inhaled deeply through my nose while thinking.

"Um, maybe something light, like an omelette." I answered unsurely, while rubbing the side of my head — Marina chuckled and shook her head as if my choice of food was out of this world.

"Excuse me, we'll both have chicken with a side of potatoes and a nice salad, thanks." Marina told the Omega's who quickly mumbled their 'of course' and started working, I felt my body sink over the chair making me lean my head over the palm of my hand.

"So, what do you wanna talk about?" Marina asked with a sheepish smile, I couldn't help but chuckle at our awkwardness.

"Well first of all, how are you?" I asked her, feeling my cheeks warm up in embarrassment because we haven't really spoken as friends in a while; I could tell that she also noticed because she too blushed sheepishly.

"I'm fine, I finally found my mate as you probably noticed by now and he's great-" she stopped when she noticed me scratching my thigh awkwardly, I sighed when I realized she stopped talking because of me and placed my hand over her knee.

"Continue. Just because my life isn't all that great doesn't mean you can't speak to me about your's. So please, carry on." I urged nicely, nodding my head to show her how genuine I was being. She smiled sadly and placed her hand over my own — giving it a painless squeeze for reassurance.

"Well, Luke — my mate, I met him the day you spoke to your dad about the spirit finally awakening. But when I opened the door to his room, he was all over some bimbo and I got so mad that I almost attacked her. He kicked her out, and later through my anger we ended up marking one another — but we still haven't mated." She explained hesitantly but my wide happy smile managed to convince her to continue — she sighed blissfully and ran a hand through her dark hair.

"U-um do a-any of you k-know where E-Elijah is?" An unfamiliar voice suddenly asked making both Marina and I snap our heads her way — the girl I saw looked so lost here.

Her long black hair ran down her shoulders and close to her waist, her grey eyes were full of unspoken emotion and her lips were in a frown as she gazed at all of us in the kitchen warily.

"Hello, may I ask of your name?" Marina said beside me, the girl gulped and nodded her head reluctantly.

"My-my name is Dina." She answered hesitantly, I smiled and nodded my head, she was probably new around here.

"And can I ask why you need Elijah?" Marina continued, the girls eyes widened unsurely and she looked at the ground, her fingers playing with one another.

"H-he's my m-mate." She replied, her voice barely a whisper as she spoke and I felt my heart swell up happily, I jumped from my chair and she flinched in fear — so did Marina.

"Oh my Goddess! I'm so happy for you — for both of you!" I gushed excitedly, my hands clapping together crazily as I gazed at her in complete shock.

"You're going to love him, he is amazing." I said surely, my words completely genuine making her head rise slowly — her wide eyes were full of uncertainty but I saw the trust that glimmered in her grey orbs.

"Here, would you like to join us for dinner?" I asked politely, Marina hummed beside me to show that she too wanted Dina to join, her mouth opened and closed as she scratched the side of her head before thinking of a reply.

"Sure." She whispered breathlessly before walking towards us and taking a seat on the other side of where I'm seated — leaving me in the middle of them both.

"Oh! And I'm Celine and this is Marina." I introduced happily, she smiled and nodded her head — I watched as she let out a deep breath making my stomach churn.

Why is she so nervous?

"Have you met the Alpha?" Dina asked slowly, her eyes wide as she gazed intensely at both Marina and I, Marina chuckled and nodded, making Dina's brows furrow.

"He's my brother." Marina explained, but I sensed anger in the way she addressed him, Dina noticed too but she didn't press anything — then she looked at me expectingly, I sighed and looked down awkwardly.

"I've met him — a couple of times." I whispered, not wanting to give out anymore information because my heart couldn't handle listening to the awful information of the Alpha being my mate; who also hates me with a burning passion.

"Why do you want to know about my brother, Dina?" Marina asked softly, changing the topic away from me, making me sigh inwardly in relief before raising my head to this time look at Dina expectedly — she gasped and rubbed the back of her neck nervously; almost as if she was embarrassed.

"Oh look who it is — the wannabe Princess and a thief." The sudden sound of Lexie speaking made my blood boil angrily making me roughly bite my lower lip, Dina frowned sadly.

"Aw don't be scared Dina, once my Mate see's you here then you can be scared." Lexie teased making me tense up at the mention of Dustin being her mate, Dina noticed but she didn't say anything — she just cowered back into the seat as Marina and I gazed at her in confusion.

"Oh you both didn't know? How tragic." Lexie said while scoffing and chuckling humorlessly, I couldn't bare to look at her so I looked in front of me instead.

"Dina here is a thief, she was stealing from our pack grounds but before she could leave — she was captured. She was supposed to be made an example of that day but Elijah didn't allow it since she is his Mate." She sneered and growled in disgust, I pitied Dina but couldn't help but be curious as to why she would steal from here.

Nobody said anything for a good minute, we were all silent but the sound of stomping footsteps echoed in my ears and the smell of a certain alluring scent made my head snap up to look at Dina worriedly.

"Where is she?!" The words made my ears ring and I felt as though I've heard them before, I turned my body sideways to watch Dustin barge into the kitchen with his jaw clenched tightly— he looked about ready to kill and I felt a shiver crawl up and down my spine.

Dina stiffened at the sight of him but her eyes were wide in mesmerization — how could such a beautiful creature be so cruel? That was how I felt in the beginning too; I still do.

"Here she is, baby." Lexie cooed while glaring at both Dina and I, sending me a smirk once she called Dustin 'baby', I clenched my fists tightly.

"Dina Loyola." Dustin gritted out making me jump, his stormy, enraged gaze was on the innocent girl beside me, not once averting from her — I watched Dina tremble under the Alpha's strong gaze making my heart clench.

"Did you really thing you could escape your fate, just like that? I think my Beta's forgot who the Alpha is around here and they let you go. But I think it's time to show them that my prisoners, will always be made examples of for their bad doings." His words made my heartbeat speed up, and I could feel Marina tense up beside me as well.

Dina gasped and I watched tears start falling out of her eyes as she jumped out of her seat and faced Dustin with her head hanging in respect.

"Please Alpha! I had to, I'm just a rogue! I have nothing! I didn't want to steal but in order to survive I had to!" She pleaded against her death and she begged him with her hands intertwined in front of her, I took in a shaky breath. Dustin's growl echoed in the kitchen making my heart skip a beat in fear.

"Well, you see where stealing got you? Now you won't even survive!" He growled once more in disgust and I grimaced before standing up with Marina following behind.

We both watched the scene unfold in front of us worriedly, while Lexie watched with an amused smirk on her lips, making my blood boil.

Dina was sobbing, and shaking her head, still mumbling her pleads and shaking her intertwined hands making my heart break.

"Let's go! You will follow me towards the outside grounds! We will follow through with what was supposed to happen." Dustin stated and she gasped loudly, her knees wobbled and suddenly I couldn't take it anymore — I ran right beside her making Dustin's angry glare fall on me, I growled at him in disgust, Lexie growled back warningly but I paid her no mind.

"Stop this." I said strongly, my hands were in tight fists as I gazed at him intensely, Dina shook beside me and I couldn't help but pity her.

"Don't you dare get in my way Celine or you will join her!" He growled out angrily and I felt myself step closer towards him, not once looking away from his stormy glare.

"I order you to stop!" It was the most powerful I have ever heard my voice, Lexie was shocked beside Dustin and oddly enough Dustin's head fell in a bow under my strong words reluctantly.

"You will stop this, Dustin. Elijah is her mate, you kill her and you lose a Beta." I continued but much softer, suddenly Elijah walked into the kitchen completely enraged and Dina ran into his arms, making his arms go around her trembling body.

Dustin didn't bother watching the couple because his anger was now directed towards me, my body shook now and my knees were wobbling, I don't understand how I didn't see it coming but a hand had collided with my cheek making me grunt in pain.

I turned my head to look at Dustin with my hands covering my tingling cheek but now I noticed it wasn't him, I looked at Lexie and watched her smile while stretching the hand she slapped me with making me snarl.

"Don't you ever order my Mate around!" Lexie ordered lamely, I growled and stepped closer towards her, my body no longer my own but she didn't realize; Dustin did however and before he could stop me, I raised my hand and some thick black fog danced around him making Lexie gasp.

He growled when he realized that he couldn't move, Lexie was shaking and before she could leave I grabbed her hand tightly and allowed my long claws to pierce into her skin making her let out a strangled scream, I smirked evilly.

"I need to remind you, Lexie of your Rank around me. I am a Princess! Daughter of the Royal Diamond family! I am also the rightful Luna of this Pack, your just some toy brought into the game that I could snap in a second." To prove my point I twisted her hand until I heard one of her bones pop making her scream out, she tried to hit me but the same black fog circled around her and made her body freeze.

I turned my head to look at Dustin who glared at me dangerously but I wasn't scared — I just smirked at him.

Nobody could walk closer towards me, Marina allowed this I can sense her approval for some odd reason and Dina and Elijah were too shocked to step closer.

"Can't you see what you're doing Dustin?" I asked him while clicking my tongue, he struggled under the dark magic placed on him and I chuckled humorlessly.

"You brought this to yourself Dustin, you've hurt me so much — now its my turn to hurt something close to you." The hand that slapped me before was oozing blood over my claws and I loved it; not once did I pull the claws out, I just pushed them deeper making Lexie scream.

"Do you remember, when you spilled two full buckets of scorching hot water over me? Burning me so, so badly. It was all because you believed this liar in front of me." I reminded angrily, feeling my stomach drop at the memory — his brows furrowed.

I let go of Lexies bleeding arm and allowed her blood to drip onto the once clean ground, my hand was covered in red blood and I hummed in satisfaction.

A sadist was being made out of me right now.

I walked closer towards Lexie and grabbed a handful of her hair, she squirmed and gasped loudly, tears brimmed her eyes.

"She lied to you Dustin, yet you chose to believe her over me. She hurt herself, and made it look like I hurt her, I told you to believe me, that I didn't do it, but you didn't! You ordered your Beta to bring me back to the cell and then you burned me!" I screamed the words out and shocked everyone, nobody knew about this — and I felt my heart clench tightly as I gazed at him feeling completely drained, his face hardened.

"She scratched her own face-" I paused and used my claws to scratch two deep lines into each side of her face making her scream and cry, tears trailed out of her eyes but I didn't stop there — now they'll see how I felt.

"Then she tugged her own hair." I continued and pulled on her hair until I pulled out some of her extensions and dropped them on the ground carelessly, she shook in my hold and cried helplessly making my lips curl up into a sadistic smile.

"Then you chose to join in, and decided to take what she did and twist it my way — burning me in the process; let me show you." I said eagerly, walking away from them and towards the sink where I filled a bowl up with the hottest water; Lexie screamed out in fear and I chuckled.

"Celine don't." Marina begged but she couldn't move as the darkness swirled around her, Elijah tried coming closer but he too was stopped with the same darkness that lingered in the air.

Once I was satisfied I walked closer towards Lexie, and stood in front of her, my eyes gazing at her bleeding hand and her bloody face, then her messed up hair. Loving it.

"Stop it Celine! This is our fight." Dustin managed to say, I chuckled and turned to look at him with wide feral eyes.

"This was never our fight you coward! It was your own! You created this and brought her into it! You caused this and now these are the consequences!" Anger and Rage consumed me completely, the familiar black veins crawled on my arms and I could feel them on my face, Dustin noticed and growled.

Lexie was in the middle of shock and fear, her whole body trembled and I smirked teasingly.

"I'm sorry, baby. Celine isn't going to be here long, so I just wanted to give you a glimpse of what I'm capable of. I need you to understand, just how powerful I am." This time the words weren't my own, and the voice was deep and evil making my stomach churn.

"Stop!" Elijah and Marina begged, but the spirit didn't listen to orders — I tried to gain my control back but it was tough, and right when the spirit was going to spill the water on Lexie, I managed to flip the bowl and let the water fly my way.

I screamed out at the feel of the burning water attacking my skin, and felt as if history was repeating itself, my body collapsed on the ground and trembled rapidly.

I looked at Dustin for something that I terribly needed right now, but before I could ask him for help, everything went dark and I lost feel of my body once again.
