eighty eight.

Trailer above!! -idiosyncratic  thank you so much!

Everything was covered in lights all around me, shining a bright red color — curtains were hung on the walls in all kinds of colors; hiding the other room from me.

I walked closer towards a curtain that was slightly pushed more to the right side, leaving a slit in the middle of it and another one towards the other side, I pushed them open more and walked into the dark room.

"I see you've found me." A familiar voice whispered, the tone husky and soft, in complete contrast to how it usually sounded making my heart skip a beat — I just nodded, knowing well that he possibly couldn't see me.

"Why is it so dark in here?" I asked worriedly, my brows furrowed as I squinted my eyes to try to see him clearer but I couldn't, seeing as the room was pitch black.

"Because it's better that way. I'm a monster, and if you don't see me, maybe for once I won't have to see total disgust in your gorgeous brown eyes." He explained sadly making me frown; why would I gaze at him in disgust?

"Don't pull a face Celine, I know how much you despise me — Hell, I even despise myself. You're here because of me, everything bad that has happened to you, is because of me." He stated angrily, growling at the end of his sentence making me grimace while shaking my head, not even knowing why.

"Dustin?" I called out to him softly, my eyes watered but I couldn't help but feel confused because I didn't know what was going on and why he was being so nice.

"Celine." He answered breathlessly, I jumped at the sound of defeat in his voice but why? Why was he acting like this.

"What's going on? What's happening?" I asked anxiously, my hands crossed against my chest as I rocked on my heels — my nerves growing larger by each second.

"I don't know.... I don't know." He muttered sadly, my heart broke at his statement and I couldn't help but shake my head.

"You should! You should know! We can't be left in the dark! We can't be stuck here!" I yelled out, my stomach churned rapidly and my whole body felt too warm.

"I-I don't know what to do!" He stated defeatedly making me growl in frustration while slapping my hands over my thighs.

"You brought me here! You bring me back!" I said angrily, my heartbeat increased and I felt my blood boil hotly, my whole body was slowly burning.

"I don't know how! I don't know what to do!" He replied in frustration making me groan, I shook my head and wiped my stray tears.

"Help me! Help me please!" I begged frantically, falling to my knees and intertwining my hands in front of me while rocking my body back and forth, tears swam down my face and my stomach burned.

"Please!" I wailed out, my throat aching from all the screaming, my chest felt tight and the burning only increased.

"I want to...but I don't know how." He whispered hoarsely but I knew that wasn't true.

He's Dustin — the man that killed me, the man that always hated me; the man I was given as a supposed Mate.

"Then you're correct this is all your fault." I said before blacking out...

MARINA'S POV

I shook my head, my eyes completely agape and my knees wobbled, I felt completely drained after hearing the definition of Celine's previous words.

"That can't be!" I yelled out in despair, my hands balling into fists and slamming against his broad chest, he grabbed onto my wrists tightly and held them in place, locking his gaze with my own.

"It's true, Mar. The spirit is taking over, and he or she is telling us that it's close — that it's here." He whispered seriously, his whole face hardened at his own words and I felt my eyes water, my heart skipping a beat.

"Don't worry, my Mate. We will save her, the Princess is strong — she's so strong." He reassured but even he could hear that his words weren't completely true I shook my head, and inhaled shakily.

"No — this time, this is the last straw for her. We've had so many chances — Dustin, had so many chances! And he lost them all, burnt them all and tarnished them all!" I took in a deep, aching breath when I finished and felt my cool tears pool down my cheeks; Luke wiped my tears with his large fingers gently and frowned, his brows furrowing.

I heard a loud, feral growl come from the room Celine was hidden in and I couldn't help but flinch in fear, the sounds awakening a forgotten memory that laid buried in the deepest part of my brain.

"Wait-" I paused while remembering something; someone, I pulled away from Luke reluctantly before running past him and towards Dustin's office.

I remembered there being a hidden room in there, hiding the man that started it all for this family — that cursed all the Alpha men in the Bloodline Pack.

I opened the door forcefully and allowed the door to slam roughly against the wall due to the amount of force I used to open it.

I ran towards the spelled wall covered by a intriguing framed painting, and mumbled incoherent words that were drilled into my mind since I was born.

'If you trust, you can bring and when you bring — it'll open' it was the most senseless statement I've ever heard but it opened the large wall that I didn't even bother acknowledging before running closer to the scrawny man in the corner.

"Get up!" I growled out when he raised his head in panic to look at me, his eyes narrowed completely and his chapped lips pulled into a frown.

"Did you not hear me?!" I spat out angrily, now standing a good foot away from him, he flinched at the sound of my raspy voice before jumping onto his wobbly legs, the chains clattered around him but with a snap of my fingers they had broken apart and freed him making him rub his sore wrists.

"I need you to do something — something you haven't done in a while." I barely even gave him time to register my words before I quickly grabbed his frail hand and pulled him forcefully with me back to where Celine was.

"What're you doing?" He asked hoarsely, I growled and rolled my eyes but in no time we managed to get to where Luke still stood his glare on the man beside me.

"Who's he?" He asked warily, taking a protective stance while his eyes zeroed on my hand holding onto his I huffed out.

"He's going to help revive Celine." I simply stated before once again running past a curious Luke whose gaze was plastered on the scrawny man I held and towards Celine's door, opening it to reveal Dustin and the Doctor standing beside Celine who laid lifelessly on the bed.

"Celine?!" The man we all hated spoke up suddenly making my heart skip a beat, Dustin's large, body froze before he let out a growl while turning his head slowly to look at the man that was supposed to be imprisoned in his office.

"What is he doing here?!" Dustin asked hoarsely, his wide feral blue eyes were glued on the man beside me and I felt my nerves grow.

"He's here to help her." I said which made Doctor Andrews turn to look at us in relief, his hair messy and his hands rubbing his worn out looking face.

"He won't come near her!" Dustin growled out while taking a single, menacing step towards us I smirked dangerously and glared at him, my hold on the hand that was being clenched between my fingers only tightened.

"Oh he will, Alpha Dustin Cadman, because I don't know if you remember but you brought her to her deathbed! So it is you that shouldn't be near her!" I spat out angrily, my words slow and steady, but my rage was outspoken and loud the guy that everyone hated pulled away from me and ran towards Celine almost frantically.

I growled out the same time Dustin did and ran beside her quickly, the guy held her hand and allowed his gaze to roam down her lifeless, unmoving body.

"Stop staring at her like that!" Dustin growled out protectively making me roll my eyes, now he cares?

The scrawny man reluctantly looked up from gazing at Celine and we all finally managed to see his eyes — glowing a golden color, indicating that a bond had suddenly reconnected.

"This is the Princess and I am her cousin!" He acknowledged, his voice strong and menacing making me stumble back under the sudden power, Luke's scent suddenly erupted around me and I knew he had entered the room.

"Prince Nolan?" Luke asked quietly, but nobody paid Luke any mind we all just watched golden sparks fly around Celine's body that had come from Nolan's hands.

My heart was beating frantically in my chest and I felt completely lightheaded.

Nolan the warlock, was also a werewolf? A werewolf Prince at that and Celine's cousin?

The man that unknowingly ruined his own cousin's life — years back.
