-werewolves, loup-garous, try to avoid fights with humans, because they are too strong compared to them. That's why they are usually non-conflicting, they only fight if a member of their pack is in a danger

The sound of water pouring out of clogged sinks echoed from the tiled walls of the washroom. Koga let himself be kicked down to the drowned floor for the last time. He didn't even glance at the people who threw not only insults at him, but also his personal belongings, anymore. His gaze was cold, reconciled... as if the only spark left in him regretfully agreed with all of those punches and blows given to him by the group of his classmates.
He didn't rise from the layer of water, even after the pairs of shoes quickly ran out of the washroom, only leaving behind echoes of more mocking words. Not like he didn't have the strength to do so... If he wanted to, he'd get up without the slightest problem.
His eyes glistened. He rolled them, then spitted out the blood that flooded his mouth and ran his finger over the red colored surface in front of him. Koga listened to the trickles of water still dripping from the sinks onto the floor and swallowed the irony aftertaste.
His fingers trembled with energy, but he controlled it. He couldn't afford to let it go from the reins the string around his neck became. On that string hung a fang, which he clenched tightly at the thought of his new family... well, relatively new.
As the sound of two pairs of hurried footsteps and quickened breathing echoed through the room, he sat up. Why does it have to be you two?
His gaze softened as it slipped from the surprised Jo to the shorter boy standing a step behind him.
Taki's expression seemed to hide more pain than was actually in Koga's wounds. He sighed as his heart ached. The last thing he wanted was to see Taki's sad eyes, in which the urge to protect his loved ones was awakening.
"I'm going for Euijoo and Nicholas... or no, I'll show them who they're playing with... myself," Taki whispered, turning to leave when Jo grabbed his forearm.
"You know he doesn't want to," he calmly explained why he stopped him, causing a helpless smirk to appear on Taki's lips.
How can he always be so obedient? Even at the cost of seeing the eldest sitting in his own, needlessly spilled blood.
"You'd just draw attention to us again..."
Taki looked into his brother's calm, kind eyes while his own were filled with tears. He freed his hand from Jo's grip in one move. He hated it. He really hated not being able to do anything at all.
"He's right. Leave it alone," came a hoarse voice from the ground.
Before Koga could properly spit again, the younger loup-garou dropped to his knees in front of him.
"Why... Why did you have to get beaten up again, K? I-If you wanted to, you'd never even be touched again...," Taki said in a low voice.
Why?
He examined his hands, hesitating if he should really answer this question.
"Because they're right," Koga breathed out simply, grabbing the younger's wrist. "I'm a monster. I'm not going to make it any more clear to them by almost killing them."
Taki gasped in disbelief.
"Because you lost your temper once and hit some boy? Is that why you're going to be bullied forever?"
"He could have been my friend... I had no right to hit him."
The boy shook his head in protest, his neck stiff with grief.
"They provoked you. You were basically children, K. You can't- You can't let yourself be beaten for the rest of your life. You didn't even know who you were... who you are," Taki's voice trembled in his choked throat. He couldn't even look at Koga's unnecessary wounds.
K may not have controlled himself then, but only thanks to that he was now able to look Taki in the eyes without awakening the wolf in him... The wolf in whose form he still could not fully perceive and have control over himself.
"You are one of us..."
As much as Koga wanted to fully believe Taki, he knew that wasn't the absolute truth. He finally felt at home with them and it was thanks to them that he found out who he really was, but nevertheless they all knew very well that the origin of his blood was much older and stronger than theirs... He was different.
K couldn't call his family that, but it was hard to stop calling himself a monster or a demon.
The eldest gave Jo a brief apologetic look, before looking back at Taki and opening his arms to him.
"Come here...," Koga invited him with a nod of his head.
Without hesitation, the younger threw himself warmly into his wet embrace. Koga's short-sleeved shirt clung to his body, and so Taki's tears couldn't hurt it any more. He clutched it in his spasmodic hands on K's shoulder blades, as his own shoulders were shaking from crying.
Koga smiled lightly and began stroking Taki's trembling back. He was so adorable, the way he went about everything with vigor and with the pure intention of protecting his loved ones... He had been like that since he knew him. His proximity always filled him with energy and a kind of pride.
He was really glad when he finally found out that he wasn't a threat to Taki or his brothers and he could actually even bond with them. After all, that's what Taki was trying so hard for. He was trying to make Koga belong somewhere and not be the lonely outcast. That's also why K liked him, he felt special in his honest eyes.
"He really has a hot blood," Jo told him telepathically.
When Koga opened his eyes, he saw his amused shy smile. In response, he gritted his bared teeth and drew claws with a gesture of clenched fingers, thus describing Taki's passionate wolf temperament.
"I'll go now. See you after school." Jo waved briefly.
K lightly nodded his head and closed his eyelids. As soon as Jo came out of the washroom, he hugged Taki tightly... with a sigh, he pressed his lips and the tip of his nose to Taki's heated neck for a moment.
Unlike the younger, who was the absolute best at recognizing scents from the entire pack, Koga had barely started and was happy to tell right a human from a werewolf. However, he tried hard to learn to recognize Taki's scent wherever it was. K wanted to be by his side, so that he never has a chance to feel alone. Taki really meant a lot to him.
Grabbing his shoulders, he pulled the younger boy away from him again, then gently pinched both of his soft cheeks that after a few years hardly looked childish at all. His smile also spread to the tearful face.
"You do have a big heart, Taki-kun," Koga purred deeply with pride. He wiped away the boy's tears and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek for being so protective of him, even though he didn't have to be.
"You are completely beaten." Taki didn't know whether to laugh or cry when he saw the bruises on Kho's forearms and his split lip. He was already used to blood long ago, but training and fighting for his life was something completely different than the fact that his loved one allowed himself to be beaten like this...
As soon as Taki's lips quivered again, Koga placed his index finger on them and opened his eyes warningly.
"C'mooon..." He tilted his head to get a better look at the downcast face. "Don't cry... You know I heal really fast. It'll be gone by the evening." He threw up his arms, whereupon his palms landed on his thighs.
He hissed, biting back the short-lived pain.
"Oh God," Taki wailed, burying his face in his hands and laughing briefly through his tears.
"It's nothing!" the elder immediately braced himself and started to scare away his younger friend's fears with his waving hands.
"You're really unreal..." Taki spoke with his lips narrowed.
"That's why you like me, isn't it?"
Loup-garou looked doubtfully at K's raised eyebrows. However, his heart still had no choice but to give him a resigned nod with a sigh.
That much was enough for Koga to straighten up confidently.
At that moment, he was again attracted by the flowing water, in which they were basically swimming like in a children's pool. Fortunately, its direction was led to the drains located in the floor, but this did not mean that the washroom could continue to be a public fountain.
"Stay here," K remarked with a raised index finger. Then he licked the blood from the corner of his mouth, scrambled to his feet, and moved to the row of sinks to turn off the faucets and remove the stoppers. He was really amused and pleased at the same time when the younger wolf really didn't even move from his place.
Taki measured the puddle he was kneeling in with a slightly surprised look, as if he hadn't really noticed it before. He ran a hand down his neck with a silent "ahh", but in the end he wasn't fazed at all by the little bit of water and blood on his clothes.
But why am I staying here? - Taki's innocent eyes asked, as Koga suddenly appeared behind him. He slipped his fingers under Taki's bangs and placed his palm on his forehead, coaxing him to tilt his head. Taki blinked slowly as he looked at the lycanthrope's face above him. He held his breath.
As the elder gave him a gentle smile and bent down, he closed his eyes without thinking... like it was the most natural thing he could do. That moment was stronger than telepathy. It was one of those moments where he just knew... and he wanted to - he wanted Koga to kiss him.
And so he went out to meet him. Their lips brushed against each other in a soft comforting kiss. Taki ran his fingertips up K's cheek and gently slid them down until his hand was grasped by the older boy's hand.
He gripped it, reaching out a few millimeters for another kiss, which he received without further ado. Then he opened his eyes again. From the wounded lips to the dark irises, he measured the face that was leaning towards him. Koga gave him a confident smile that lifted the corner of his mouth. K actually really loved Taki's facial expression. So many times it spoke more than his words.
"Have I told you you're really adorable?"
"Many times," Taki replied in a daze, unable to take his eyes off K. "We kissed...," he assured himself, transported to a completely different dimension.
The elder gave him an amused nod before carefully straightening Taki's head to its natural position, guessing that he wouldn't be able to do it himself and didn't want him to break his neck. Then he leaned Taki against his thighs, began gently massaging his favorite cheeks with his fingers in a circular motion and waited patiently for the younger boy to recover.
"Are you going to be okay?" Koga asked after a while to be sure.
"Give me a few more seconds," Taki mumbled through his moving cheeks. "Maybe minutes..."
"Hmmm..." Koga just watched him with interest, with his head slightly tilted. From a third person point of view, they would probably seem rather comical, but actually... they both enjoyed the long moment quite a bit and didn't care about anything else.
K was very well aware that Taki liked him probably from the first moment he saw him... He was just waiting for when he couldn't take it anymore and he would be able to show him how much he fell in love with him step by step. How much his heart gradually won as the younger tried to talk to him so that he wouldn't feel alone... like the language of his face was more than a thousand hard-to-choose words... how protective and devoted Taki was to him. He openly admired him and his reactions used to be exceptionally charming.
"I-it means now I can do it whenever I want... is that right?" Taki stammered out. He felt like he had won something incredibly important and was losing his mind.
"Mhmm... of course," Koga agreed shyly, trying not to laugh. However, the younger wolf's cuteness was attracting him in an incredible way.
When Taki just nodded a few times at that again, it seemed that several more similar moments, when he would be able to do it again, passed before his eyes. In the end, a quiet "good" made K laugh anyway.
"Was it good?" he asked with a laugh, flicking Taki's bangs from above his scalded look.
It was much more than good - the loup-garou thought, turning his eyes to the boy on whose legs he was leaning.
"I'll tell you if you try it again..." His mouth fell slightly open as he leaned back.
Koga looked briefly into Taki's softened gaze that melted his heart. Then he gently pressed his fingers against younger's chin, lovingly soaking into his tender lips.
