Chapter 49. Into the temptress glass. (Talek)

I slapped the hard surface once more as my shoulder was yanked backwards. I had no need to resist the hand placed on me, as his smell radiated enough times throughout our time together to know who it was wanting to gather my attention at such a time.

"He's coming..." he whimpered.

The tiny sentence chimed against my already shrunken throat. Of all things, he would push my nerves to a drastic end.

I winced at my reflection, the blood; the ravished clothing barely covering any means of decency. I closed my eyes and hoped she knew I was near and ready to do whatever it took to save her.

With that thought, the voices echoed louder as the group grew closer.

I whipped Jensen's good arm around my neck, and helped him hide behind a cluster of rocks nearby; good thing he was such a smaller guy than me, otherwise, most of his body would be scoped out with all that he packed; it was hard not to see as I laid him down; suppose that saying, 'big things come in small packages' actually made sense. Good for Ben I found myself thinking as I tried covering him with as much mud and dirt as possible.

"If they happen to find you... play dead." I quipped as I patted him on the head.

"Funny... such an asshole." He countered with a grimaced chuckle.

I ran fast to the same spot as before, as the group finally turned the corner just at the threshold of chamber.

"Find those jesters!" the sudden boomed of a voice fired out.

Two of them stood inches away, as I contemplated if I could get it up again; as I could feel that my body had ran through whatever energy had surged through me before; I pondered at my right hand, as I watched him hover his own hand in front of the glass wall.

"Surely... he didn't need all of them for his release?" he mumbled. "I could've used a bit of good rumble with that petite Danni..." the sickening chortle only intensified the boiling effect suddenly swimming within. The fire ravaged and twirled away at my limbs; seducing them to the counterpart that I insisted did not exist; to refuse it had been apart of me all along; he was as much me as the human side of myself – and he wanted desperately out!

I ran from the shadow bellowing a howl of no contemplated remorse; as the room shimmered like a possessed kaleidoscope; beaming from red; blue; gray; tan and repeating in a juddering manner.

Warning: fantasizing of such strobe light effects may induce a Bucha Effect, if continued in an intense imagination.

My irregular claws had returned as the bladed nails crossed each of the two supernatural creatures' throats, who had been standing between him and I. Their essence rupturing in violent geysers; spraying onto anything dry; bathing the returned thickened hair carpeting my body.

His gaping leer still plastered onto his jawline as I pounced onto him; slashing and thrashing as the immense mirror stood to catch our falling bodies; we fell through the glass. Leaving Jensen to fend for himself.

**

Unnoticed to what had transpired as we fell; I continued my rampage of releasing the insanely tormenting pain I carried far longer than any person should have reason to; if the world wouldn't acknowledge and condemn such a travesty or punish him by criminal offense – then I sure the hell would!

I deserved to have some revenge; some retaliation for what havoc my mind; heart and soul buried beneath my chest; only for everyone to reward him as some collected martyr as myself for being classified as misunderstood or just merely going through all the changes that occur during a teenagers last years before reaching young adult status. It could all be boiled down to a simple sentence: It was not fair.

"Talek!" a voice snapped as it echoed off the walls.

My bloody claws, and body had reverted to human form, as I hadn't realized the swallowed regurgitation of my equivalent had retreated.

"Get off your brother!" she snapped again. Somehow, she managed to sound embarrassed by my actions; typical.

I lowered my arms; regretting I hadn't finished the job as I stood. He too had quickly jumped to his feet; dusting off dirt; grit; and smearing a adjoining of our two different colored bloods on his slacks.

"You've no idea what you've put me through..." She spat. Staring directly to me, as I were the only standing in front of her. I couldn't bare keeping the feelings aching within me; there were no reasons to keep those emotions stifled and locked in some miniscule closet to please the world or her. I had reached the limit.

"What about me... the countless hurt... disappointments I felt!" I could not help the escalation of my tone. "You were supposed to protect me... even if from another of your flesh and blood... but all you saw was yourself!"

She only grinned as she appeared to be less riveting of my revelations.

"You sure you won't consider taking on Blayke instead... this pissant of a son is retching my nerves."

My brows furrowed, taken aback to her complete dismissal; or even further her lack of any sign of remorse. There was nothing. Of course, as soon as this initially slapped me, it cleared any hope that I may have had in trying to reach out to her; to make a connection, but evidently no bridges were ever going to be erected for a family reconciliation.

I looked over to Blayke who was just as confused, but careful to not undermine mother dear.

"Demon... make your choice and leave this perverse realm..." she implored.

The demon only chuckled. As he looked on to the two of us, standing only a few feet away. "My lady, though I am at your debt for conjuring such a gateway to exist... I do not need your unnecessary commentary to persuade my decision." He jested.

I could tell he wasn't impressed by her; even if his body language showed no signs of it; those citrine pupils encircling black slits gave him away.

"The decision had been made in considerable time before you came through the other portal; in fact, I'm not sure why you are even here..." he sneered; mocking her formal pose as too had become less enthused my her presence. "I think you will be leaving soon, nonetheless." He quipped.

The sight of her face had been taken down from otherwise perfect stature to ultimately shook. He had slackened those confident stiletto heels.

I irrevocably and astonishingly felt beholden to the demon; he had at least tongue lashed her to an imperfection she desperately had needed to come.

I had a slight smirked stinging at my cheeks, as the demon tossed a wink in my direction.

"Now Blaykey boy..." He began. "...what to do with you?" His index finger ticking at his lips.

"Ah, Talek care to do the honors?"

I had no earthly idea as to what he meant; then quickly the flash of kissing Danni waved across my thoughts; then the tantalization snaked its way from my groan; up through the pit of my stomach; pounding my lungs; lurching up my throat; to settling a tingling on my lips. With no provocations my actions had taken charge before any cohesive thoughts could. My lips graced over Blayke's. Only for a few seconds; as the tingling leaped off mine and onto his. I pulled back repulsed and confused but ecstatic to have that odd feeling being transported from me.

"Ahh... what the ever-loving shit!" he spat. Swiping and mopping away any moisture that had transpired from the kiss.

"What just happened?" I pondered as I looked to the Demon. "What did you make me just do!"

"This is your accountability... not mine... I've no power over your ability... your... err ...gifts."

I huffed away his improbable sentiment. "What gifts?" I murmured.

Looking pleased and diabolical, he laughed. "Ah! He's been marked... he's fate is sealed!"

I looked tearful to truly understand what that meant.

"Just wait..." the demon teased.
