Cuphead's P.O.V:

I look to my side of my car as I see Mugs taking his nap peacefully in the passengers seat. Damn I need Mugs to make friends! He's so lonely and for some reason some of the teens his age are afraid of him. Poor little Mugs... Maybe I can find Mehreen and see if she can introduce Mugs to Janis! She's nice and sweet! So I can trust the two sisters! Yeah! I start my car up again as I back up a little and then I start drive onto the roads again. I can hear Mugs yawn and sit back upwards in his seat. I take a moment to turn to him and smile, since of course there isn't many cars on the road today.

"Morning Cups..." Mugs tells me sleepily as he rubs his eyes. I grin at him as I take my eyes off my brother and focus back on the roads.

"Morning Mugs! How was that nap of yours?" I ask my little brother curiously.

"It was good Cups! Thanks!" Mugs thanks me for just asking how his sleep is. I can't understand how he doesn't have friends! All this time for being home schooled, now he's finally going to a normal school! I already know the first people my little brother can met for starters! I drive myself and my brother to the Werewolf Hunter facility. I know this is where Mehreen and Trevor are at! They should be back from all the shopping anyways! I park my car in the parking lot as I shut it off. I unbuckle myself as I open my car door wide open to get out. Mugs unbuckles himself too as he exits my car as well. Mugs hides behind me slightly as I let him stay close to me. He's not too used to being with other people or cartoons sadly. But hey! Janis and Mehreen are cartoons! This is so perfect to let him know more cartoons like him! I walk to the front of the building and I push open the front doors of the facility. Now to find Mehreen!

Mehreen's P.O.V:

I look at the new outfit I have to wear for training for now on. I stare at Trevor as he simply looks at me with an unamused face as he rolls his eyes again.

"Since you JUST got this new uniform, you don't have to wear it today. But after today your wearing this for the rest of your life here at the facility. Got that?" Trevor tells me strictly.

"I got it captain asshat." I sass back to Trevor as I hold onto the bag with my new uniform inside it.

"Good... now let's go review what else we need to look over..." Trevor already starts. Man even just HEARING my partner start to talk is like a enteral cycle of mental torture in my ears. He's so mean and annoying I can't even stand hearing him for a second! I better have my ass ready for his words, "Now let's see what your weapon choice is-."

"Hey Mehreen!"

Thank god for whoever calls my name. I turn and look to see Cuphead peeking through a small crack of the door room Trevor and I are in. Someone looks like Cuphead but blue hides behind Cups and avoiding both Trevor, and my eyes.

"Fine... go and take the stupid cat... see if I care at all!" Trevor snaps at Cuphead. At least I'm slightly less triggered by Trevor. His past with Lillie... I see just a little bit about why he's strict and harsh. I leave Trevor in the room as I follow Cuphead with this blue version of Cuphead out of the facility. I look at Cuphead and I think his... twin?

"Hey Mehreen... Sorry for just dragging you out of that randomly." Cuphead apologizes to me. Are you serious?! He's apologizing?! Please I'm so happy to be out of that room! Trevor with all his strict talking crap. It's like having to listen to his nails on a chalkboard while at the same time he's trying to tell me something super SUPER important. But he's a jerk so I can't care less about him. Really it's honestly saddening to know I have a CRUSH on this asshole.

"Please Cups... You made my day ten times better for helping me leave Trevor!" I exclaim honestly as Cups laughs along with me, his twin looking guy still hides behind Cuphead shyly, "Anyways... if I can ask... who's this?" I ask curiously as I flick my wrist up and I point to the blue cuphead, all while showing my palm.

"This? Glad you asked Mehreen! This is Mugs! He's my younger brother!" Cups informs me cheerfully as he pushes in front of him Mugs, a blush on his cheeks as he looks down at me shyly, "Or he's also know as Mugman! Come'on Mugs say hi!" Cups encourages his younger blue brother. Mugs nods at him as he looks back at me, slightly hiding his face.

"H-H-Hi..." Mugs mumbles bashfully under his breath. I smile softly as I grin a little wider at him.

"Hi Mugs! I'm Mehreen!"

"M-Mugman... O-Or M-M-Mugs..." Mugs introduces me. Even though Cuphead already's done his part of introduces for him already. Cuphead gently butts Mugman behind him as Cups faces me in front again.

"So Mehreen... I was wondering if you could possibly know where your older sister Janis is? I thought my little brother could met her! Since there only one year part, but it's okay since they're not totally different! Not to mention that Mugs here and Janis are both cartoons! So this is perfect!" Cups explains to me. His words a bit too fast for me to process all at once. However I have a good picture about what he's trying to ask me. He wants to know if I know where Janis is and if my sister and Mugs here can meet each other. I can see this happening, not to mention that my older sister here is really friendly, kind and open to new friends!

"I don't know where my sister is right now Cups, but I think I can get her to met your brother! I'll even call her for you! Just give me a second..." I inform Cuphead as I take out my phone from my bag. I unlock the home screen as I go straight to my sister's number, I tap on her icon as I place the phone to my ear...

My P.O.V:

"Damn Janis! Your a real cool dudette! Can't lie... your truly something to have Nathaniel met you!" Nino informs me honestly. I smile to his enthusiasm.

"Thanks! Nathaniel's honestly really nice, and it's great to know that he already has so many friends! It takes me more time to open up to new people and cartoons..."

"Really?! And here I thought you'd be insanely popular with many cartoons and people like us! Your so kind, friendly, and open to everyone!" Marinette exclaims to me in shock. I softly grin at her as I face her with my deep brown eyes.

"Well Mari... To me... Popularity doesn't mean much to me. It really doesn't, cause I don't think that it's your popularity that gets you anywhere. Truly it's who yourself is, and that you can accept who you are. As long as you have people or cartoons who love you and you love yourself, then having to be popular can't matter less. Sure there those cartoons and or people that say 'if your not popular, then your just another face in the crowd'. But that's not true, it's really who you shape yourself into, who you WANT to be. If you know yourself and respect yourself and have those around you who support you. Even if it's just one or maybe a few people or cartoons you know. Then that's enough for me personally. It really doesn't take much to be happy and proud, And you can still achieve that with no popularity." I say with full honesty. I clear my throat as that's quite some stuff I tell. Man... well Marinette wants to know why I'm like this. How come I'm not 'popular'. I eye at everyone as they look at each other with shocked faces. I still keep on my face a soft grin.

"Wow... Janis that's so beautiful..." Marinette tells me honestly, "It's so amazing to know there cartoons and people like you still out in the world. Even with all these werewolves killing and terrorizing everyone and everything. Yet you manage to find some type of happy light to push you forward. Cause you know... ever since the werewolves came into the races for many years, things keep going down instead of up... So there's really just hopelessness and negativity in so many cartoons and people. Yet none of this can bring you down... Your so strong."

I smile to Marinete as everyone else here agrees. Adrien, Nino, Angelina, Juleka, and even Nathaniel. I hear my ringer from my phone turn off as it makes a pretty loud noise. I look quickly at my bag before I look back at the group. I shoot at everyone a soft smile to cover up the awkwardness. I excuse myself out of the group as I go outside the cupcake shop as I take my phone out of my metallic silver medium backpack. It's Mehreen! Wonder what's up with her. I pick up the call as I shift it to my bunny ear.

"Hey sis! What's going on?" I ask my sister curiously. I can hear her breathing on the other side of the phone as she clears her throat.

"Nothing much sis! it's just that Cuphead has someone he wants you to met! If that's fine that is..." Mehreen explains to me. I hum as I open my mouth again.

"Okay! Where is he?" I ask Mehreen, there is a pause of silence as my face changes a little. I move my phone away from my ear as I look at my pink phone. The call is still rolling, so there is no way this is no connection issue or some type of random end of the call, "Mehreen? You there?"

"Yeah yeah sorry! So met Cuphead at the high school he says! ASAP!" Mehreen informs me then she randomly hangs up on me. I sigh as I shift my phone back into my backpack as I sadly have to leave everyone here. But hey... school is coming back up kinda soon. So... I can't believe I'm saying this... but I'll finally look forward to it! I re-enter the cupcake shop as I rejoin my group of new friends as everyone looks at me. I my hands play with the end of one of my bunny ears as I shyly look at everyone.

"Sorry guys... something came up so I have to go for now..." I sadly inform everyone. Everyone simply nods as I see Nathaniel stand up from his seat and gives me a hug. I hug back with a warm grin.

"It's okay Janis... Just go, I guess then we'll see each other at school then!" Nathaniel informs me as he pulls away from the hug and puts both his hands on my shoulders. I look into his closed eyes as he has a soft and cheery smile. I smile back at him as I feel myself gain more happiness. Just by Nathaniel's smile.

"Thanks! I guess I'll be off on my way then... I'll see you all at school tomorrow then!"

Nathaniel's P.O.V:

I lead Janis to the exit door of the cupcake place as she looks over her shoulder one more time before waving to me goodbye. Shortly she leaves my sight as she disappears into the streets. I back away from the door as I continue to watch from the window Janis becoming more and more fainter from my eye range. 

"So Nath... I'm guessing you have a crush on Janis huh?" I hear Juleka assume as I feel a jolt of surprise run into my body as I spin myself around to face everyone again. I scratch the back of my head before I clear my throat again, "Just admit it... Janis is a super kind and honestly pretty cartoon... so what if she's a cartoon? My family knows about humans like us being in relationships with cartoons! Hell even getting married and having kids!" 

"Juleka... It's just... yes I do have this crush on her... but..." I trail off as I look down to the ground, rubbing my hand to my opposite arm. 

"But? But what?" 

"I-I'm... just not sure she'd want a guy like me...." 

My P.O.V: 

I see the high school coming into my view. It's honestly kind of awkward since there's no school, for like another two days. I wait for Cuphead to come to the meeting spot. So what's taking the time? I slip back out my phone from my backpack as I click back onto one of my only app games on my phone. I start tap my phone screen a bunch of times as I have to collect all the white stars without dying. Actually I want to know... what's Mehreen doing now-a-days? She's always coming home pretty late and looks so tired all the time, it's becoming a real bother for me. No, not that I don't trust my own little sister. It's just... something normally siblings think for each other. I sigh as I continue to wait while playing my game to pass the time. 

"Hey Janis!" I hear a similar voice call my name. I let myself die in the game I'm playing as I turn my face off my phone screen to see Cuphead with this blue duplicate of himself behind him. I grin as I wave to him over to where I am. 

"Cups! Hey!" I call to him. Cups gives me a happy grin as the blue copy of Cuphead stays behind Cups, with a small shy grin on his face, I tilt my body to one side as I give the blue guy a welcoming and warm grin, "Is this the guy Mehreen said you wanted me to met?" 

"Yep! Janis! I want you to met my younger brother! I know you haven't probably heard of this. But he's a real nice guy! When this weekend is over, He's gonna go to the same high school as us! However... I can't sadly be with him all the time, so I was wondering if you could help him around when school comes back on?" Cups asks me kindly, I look at Cuphead then back at his younger brother. Hiding his face with the fabric of his hoodie. I chuckle to myself softly as I turn my attention back to Cuphead. 

"Sure! I can handle that!" I say calmly and positively. I turn back to Cuphead's younger brother as I grab his bashful self with a simple hand wave, "Hey... I'm Janis! No need to be shy with me! I promise I don't bite!" 

"...H-Hi... I-I'm M-Mugman... Or M-Mugs for short..." Mugs introduces himself to me. Sounds like a nice guy! So this all can work out perfectly! I nod as I step slightly closer to him, Mugs flinches slightly as he backs away slightly, "... S-Sorry... J-Janis... I-I'm just shy..." 

"Hey don't worry... I'm pretty shy myself... so I get ya..." I confess to Mugs. He stops hiding his face in his hoodie as he looks at me with his blue eyes. I can't lie... he's pretty cute! But this is just our first time meeting! So of course no hoping straight to the 'love at first sight' cliche. I've already made mistakes with that, but I promise myself I won't do it again! Mugman steps closer to me as a blue blush on his cheeks appear. 

"Well... I-I hope w-w-we can s-see each other a-at school t-tomorrow!" Mugs stutters to me. I grin as I open my mouth. 

"Me neither! So.... you know yet about your classes yet?" I ask him, Mugman shakes his head as his brown liquid like bangs sway in the autumn air. 

"N-N-No... B-But I'm supposed t-t-to get my s-schedule t-tomorrow!" 

"Oh... then... if you need any help I can see what I can do! And if I can ask real quick... how old are you? I'm fifteen!" 

"S-Sixteen..." 

"No matter, whatever... if you still need a first friend then come to me! I can help you!"

"T-Thank you J-J-Janis!" 

"It's no problem!" 

Cups interrupts us as he clears his throat. Mugs and I stop our small chatting as we both look at Cuphead. 

"Janis... your a real lifesaver for my brother here! So... you two can see each other when this weekend is over!" Cups informs the both of us. I give him a thumbs up as Mugs looks at his brother and smiles with a agreeing nod, "We have to get going! So thanks again for the help Janis! I owe ya!" 

"No need to owe me... please," I insist Cuphead. He sighs in defeat as he nods to me. Mugs still looking at me with a shy smile, "Now you two go and get home! I bet you have family that misses you!" 

"Your right! Thanks again Janis!" Cups thanks me again as he takes his little brother's hand and runs off back to Cups car. I spot his car pull up from it's parking space as it enters the streets and drives off. I see Mugman in the passengers seat as he at the last moment waves to me goodbye with a thankful face on him. How sweet! The two cup brothers quickly leave my sight after I see Mugs a last time. Well... time to go home...  I turn myself around one last time as I start to retrace my route back to my apartment... Mehreen though... yeah I have lots of things myself going on with both friends and school... but I have something about Mehreen... my little sister being like this all the time, it's almost like it's sketchy. 

What's she hiding from me? Doesn't she trust me?
