My P.O.V:

"Mehreen come on! He'll catch up to us!" I pant aloud as my younger sister and I run down the gravel paths. The night sky is coming closer with each second passing by. I really hate my life right now. Mehreen struggling to keep up with me as we're both so breathless. Stars come out as I hear not too far from us howls. Wolf howls. Mehreen's brown eyes widen as she starts to continue to run away from the noise with me. I grab her hand as we run along side each other.

"We're so fucked sis!" Mehreen exclaims in between breaths. I don't even have time to agree with her.

"Yeah no kidding!" I reply back to Mehreen as I can see nothing more in front of us but trees and bushes. Crap this is so not good at all! Mehreen behind me trips on the small pebbles as she also brings me down to the ground. She cries quietly as she curls herself up into a ball of white fur. Her tail covering herself. My heart continues to beat over a thousand miles an hour. Is this truly the end for us? I can't help but let off a few tears from my dark chocolate brown eyes. I helplessly crawl to my sister as I hug her. She springs upwards as she digs her face into my shoulder. I simply hug her back for the last time. The sound of pebbles being pushed out of place come closer....

-Flashback-

I sigh as I hold my classwork close to my chest as I stroll down the hallways with other cartoons and humans along us. I don't pay attention on where I'm going as I crash chest first into someone. I yelp as I quickly look upwards to see...

"N-Nezam!" I exclaim in a small yelp as I see my crush look into my eyes with his matching brown eyes. Giving me a cheeky smile. He runs his fingers through his black hair with complete grace. My heart races as Nezam picks up some papers that slip out of my arms. handing them back to me. He looks at one of them as his eyes suddenly widen.

"W-Wow Janis! This is a really good picture of me!" He exclaims positively. I simply nod as I bite my lips shut. I can feel a burn rise to my bunny cheeks. But I fight it back as I shyly rub my feet together.

"Y-Yeah..! But this is of course one of the worst drawings I've created so far..." I say modestly as I look away. Damn I can't even stand being near him without becoming a stuttering mess! I bravely look back front as I gaze into his brown eyes. He tears them away from mine as he shakes his head 'no' in disagreement in something.

"No way! Janis this is amazing! How can you call something this good bad?!" He asks me in surprise, I shrug my shoulder as I am fighting my hardest to not blush. He shifts the paper of him into his backpack, and carefully into a small folder, "Y-You don't mind me keeping it, right?"

"W-Well... I was gonna try to outline it and color it in with some copic markers of mine. But it's no sweat if you want to keep it!" I say positively and also shyly. Nezam smiles as he zips up his backpack with the drawing inside. He looks back at me. I hug the stuff I'm holding for dear life as I can't help but feel butterflies flutter all over in my stomach.

"Janis... I was meaning to ask you this earlier... but..." Nezam stutters as he pulls out from behind his back a single rose. My eyes widen at what my crush says next, "W-Would you like to go on a date with me sometime?"

"... Y-Yes! YES!" I say happily and joyfully. Nezam has a relieving face as he shows me his toothy smile.

"Great! Can I see you tonight? around the high school forest?" Nezam asks me. I nod as we make arrangements. We even exchange phone numbers! Hell yes this is the jackpot! I continue my route back to my class. With a victorious smile on my face. Penny and Allie, my two high school best friends come along my side. They see my face as Allie cocks her head to one side, a small grin growing on her mouth.

"I see someone is having a good day, and it's not even Friday today!" Allie exclaims as I snap out of my dreaming trance.

"Y-Yeah... I guess today is going okay..."

"Let me guess, your crush Nezam talked to you." Penny questions me. I yelp as I just hear his name echo through my bunny ears. Penny chuckles to herself as Allie quickly follows along.

"Y-Yeah... I got to talk to him... a little... But that only felt like witnessing a taste of heaven." I confess in defeat as Allie slaps my back and Penny simply gives me a thumbs up. I smile weakly as I trip slightly over Allie's friend slap.

"Hey! congratulations on getting the catch!" Penny congratulates me. I smile as I can feel my whole day feel more brighter.

"Thanks! And I bet tonight is gonna be great!"

-End of the Flashback-

How that can become so much more wrong. Mehreen and I hug each other for dear life as I see a large black werewolf on all fours growl at us savagely. I whimper as I hold my sister close.

"N-Nezam please..."

He continues to growl as he finally lunges at us. I take my final breath to scream as I hold onto Mehreen one last time. I close my eyes shut as I feel... nothing. I lift my head upwards to see my 'crush' on the side with a pool of blood progressively growing under all his black fur. I take a moment to gasp as a pair of arms drag Mehreen and I into a big hug. I look over my shoulder to see Cups with a worried face as he sticks his face into my free shoulder.

"Janis! Oh thank god your alright!" Cuphead exclaims in relief. All I can do right now is simply nod in agreement. Mehreen proceeds to continue snuggling into me as I place a arm over my little sister. She finally shifts her head out of my chest as she looks up at me with her medium deep brown hair a mess.

"I-Is it over?" Mehreen squeaks quietly. I nod as I hold my sister close to me again. I swear this must be so traumatizing for her. She's only eleven years old... Mehreen deserves so much better. Cups helps me up as he holds my hand as he walks us back to the town. Life is never the same now. With werewolves along side us now. You can't trust even your closest family members the same way again. Which is truly sad.

"Here, I can drive you guys home if you want..." Cups insists us. Mehreen and I share our eyesight as I sigh and look back at Cuphead.

"I-If you don't mind..." I shakily cough out. Cups hums to me as he leads us both to his car. After some time. All three of us see a silver car as he takes out his keys and clicks his car on. Mehreen and I hop into the back as Cups goes into the drivers seat and inserts his keys into the keyhole. Warming up the car. I feel the car begin to move as I buckle my seat belt, Mehreen does the same as Cups car backs up until it starts to run on the dim lit streets. Mehreen rests her kitty head on my shoulder as I lay my head down on Mehreen's head as comfort.

"Janis..." Mehreen starts as she huffs before sighing to herself, "I-I don't wanna lose you... please... your my only friend I have..." Mehreen starts to whimper then sob softly. I feel sadness drown me as I stroke my hand through my sister's hair. I do my best to calm my little sister down.

"You won't lose me Mehreen... Sis that's a promise."

Mehreen's P.O.V:

"You won't lose me Mehreen... Sis that's a promise."

I wish I can believe what Janis my older sister tells me is true. But all I can see in her words is struggle to believe. I love her with all my heart, like mom and dad. Of course there still alive and that's great! But I can't help but worry for my sister the most out of everyone in our family! She's my only sibling I have... not to mention one of my only friends. I see Cups stomp on the brakes as he stops in front of our apartment. I turns his headlights off as he looks over to us.

"You guys are home. Be safe alright?" Cups insists us.

"We will Cups, thanks..." Janis thanks Cuphead as she opens the car door on her right side open, unbuckles herself and hops out. Walking slowly to our apartment as I unbuckle myself out. I pause as I stare at Janis waiting for me at the entry way.

"Mehreen you coming?" Janis calls to me loud enough for Cups and I to hear clearly.

"I will! Just go inside first and I'll catch up!" I reply to her. Janis nods as she goes inside our home and waits in the front lobby. Looking on her phone, reading online books. I huff as I turn to Cuphead, "Cups... your a Werewolf Hunter right?"

"Well, yeah I'm a Werewolf Hunter! Why Mehreen?"

I look back at Janis who's still reading her books. I turn back to Cuphead as I look into his red orbs.

"I... I wanna become a Werewolf Hunter!" I exclaim confidently. Cuphead's red eyes widen to my response. I simply have my confidence sink deeper and deeper into my soul. I will do ANYTHING to keep Janis safe. I already know Cuphead loves and protects Janis like a little sister. So I wanna help Cuphead with protecting Janis!

"A-Are you sure Mehreen? This job sure can pay well... but it's also dangerous! Not to mention your-."

"Still in middle school? Only eleven year old? Yeah I get it... but I still wanna try and help my sister! I know you already want what's best for her... So why can't I do the same? Janis already treats me so nicely, so I want to return the favor. Cups please I wanna help her be safe!"

Cups looks at me with raw surprise on his face. I keep on my face a strong confident stare at Cups scratches behind his cup handle.

"Well... I guess it never hurts to have another Junior Werewolf Hunter..." Cups mumbles to me quietly, "But you can't learn ALL the things about Werewolf Hunters... like using certain equipment cause your still pretty young. But you start right after school. I'll pick you up so we can start. Deal?" Cups asks me. He sticks out a gloved hand to me. I start at him then back at his palm.

"It's a deal." I causally say to him as I take his hand and I shake it up and down. Cups nods to me as he looks out of his glass window Janis still reading patiently as he turns back to me.

"I think you better go home now, I think Janis really wants you to come now." Cups simply tells me. I hum to him as I hop out of his car and I close the car door behind me. He starts to warm up his silver car and he drives away. I turn back to Janis as she glances off her phone screen as I walk towards her. I wave to her as she sits up and comes over to me and lets me inside of our apartment building. Janis looks at me with a slightly concerned face.

"Hey Mehreen? You okay? You took a little while to get out of Cups car."

"It's nothing! I was just talking with Cuphead for a little bit! I promise nothing is up!"

But there is something HUGE up. I'm gonna become a Junior Werewolf Hunter starting tomorrow. That's surely nothing small. Janis leads us to the elevator as she punches with her pointer finger our floor number as the elevator closes and we go to our apartment room. Though... I should totally rest up for tomorrow. What can I expect?
