jeongin side-eyed the dark brown-haired boy sitting next to him, his eyes looking as if he were lost in thought. he then looked away from seungmin and crossed his arms and sighed. intro to music theory was the only class they had together, besides lunch, if that even counts as a class. both boys were slowly becoming closer to one another, whether they wanted to admit it or not.

though at the moment, jeongin wanted to talk to seungmin after class and ask him something, something about felix. whenever jeongin mentioned anything that had to do with the australian boy, seungmin always immediately looked uneasy, which the younger found peculiar.

"hey seungmin," jeongin whispered, not taking his eyes off their professor to not get them in trouble.

seungmin glanced at him, furrowing his eyebrows, "what jeongin. because i swear to god if you ask me how—"

"how many minutes until class is over and we go to lunch?" he smirked, resulting in seungmin groaning and facepalming.

seungmin slowly and dramatically turned his head to the left to face jeongin, narrowing his eyes, "i'm going to—"

the suddenly bell rang, cutting him off. "what were you gonna say, seungminnie?" he teased, packing up his notebook and shit.

seungmin slung his backpack over his shoulder, before starting to jump up and down, "let's go jeongin, they added hot cheetos to the vending machine so we need to go NOW!!"

"why do you like hot cheetos so much...they taste like dog shit..." jeongin grumbled, following behind a little-too-happy seungmin.

after a couple of minutes, the two boys made it to the lunchroom, then to the vending machines. seungmin pulled out his wallet from his pocket and took out the money, pushing the corresponding numbers for the hot cheetos and then inserting the yen as jeongin watched the older boy with boredom.

they watched as the hot cheetos fell in slow motion, before getting stuck on a snack bag right above the bottom.

"BRUH WHAT??!!? i just wanted some hot cheetos 👿," seungmin exclaimed, slamming his body into the machine.

jeongin grabbed seungmin's arm and forcefully pulled him back, "the fuck? did you just say an emoji out loud?"

"so what if i did? it's none of your business," he yanked his arm away from jeongin's surprisingly tight grip, "why were you gripping my arm so hard..."

"'cause you were about to fucking die, now let's go we have something we need to do—"

"hey guys! is your food stuck in the vending machine?!" an overly cheerful female voice came from behind them.

"what was that?!" a girl bursted out laughing, causing seungmin and jeongin to dramatically and slowly turn around.

"um, that was horrifying..." the first voice, who was now recognized to be yena, stated.

"what do you two want?" jeongin sighed, crossing his arms.

"well we were told to give something to you, but we can help get that bag of hot cheetos unstuck!" yuri, who was the second voice, suggested as she brushed past the two boys to stand in front of the vending machine.

"what is that supposed to mean—"

yena abruptly charged towards the vending machine, turning as her side slammed into it as she fell down from the impact.

"i think i'm gonna have 12 bruises on my right arm later..." she got up and frowned, before walking to stand next to yuri.

seungmin stared in awe at the situation, the girl surprising him from the amount of recklessness she has. meanwhile, jeongin held a judgmental look on his face, "what. just. happened."

the two girls ignored his comment as they began to suddenly scream, while jumping up and down with joy, "we got it down!!"

"oh, uh, thank you?" seungmin walked towards the vending machine, a huge dent in it but he ignored it as he grabbed the hot cheetos bag from the shoot.

"um thanks..." he trailed off, not knowing their names.

"oh it's no problem! i'm yena, by the way!" she grinned, "i have a letter here for jeongin, and yuri has one for seungmin!" she held up the letter in front of jeongin's face, causing him to aggressively grab it from the shorter girl.

"a letter?" jeongin furrowed his eyebrows, observing the paper. "from who?"

yena shrugged, "don't know, we found it laying on our desks when were in our math class."

"yeah, it was really weird," yuri handed the letter to seungmin, before crossing her arms.

"i don't understand..." seungmin muttered.

"me neither bro," yuri replied, "but if you look, it has me and yena's full names written on the front with a silly threat if we don't give it to you two." she snickered, pointing at the sloppy handwriting.

yena linked arms with yuri, "it was so stupid! like who do they think they are?!" she laughed.

jeongin and seungmin exchanged glances, before jeongin cleared his throat. "thanks for everything you two did, but, are you, uh..." he trailed off, not knowing how to correctly word his question.

"dating?" yuri and yena exchanged glances, "obviously, since middle school." yuri deadpanned, making yena playfully slap her arm.

"don't look so annoyed! it's okayyyyy if they know, i trust them," yena paused, smirking, "besides, they're obviously sus as fuck!"

jeongin whipped his head to face her, "what did you just say???"

"what the fuck is that supposed to mean," seungmin stifled a laugh.

"did i say that last part out loud? oops!" yena shrugged, "anyways, we better get going. we're not even supposed to be at this lunch! see you tomorrow in math class, jeongin!" yena dropped her arm to hold hands with yuri before both of the girls turned away.

"you know them?" seungmin opened the hot cheetos bag, eating a cheeto.

"no, i only know yena; she's in my math class," jeongin looked down at the letter the shorter girl gave him, before speed walking out of the lunchroom.

seungmin sporadically followed behind him, confused as to what he was doing. jeongin jumped up the stairs, launching the doors open to the rooftop.

he needed to ask seungmin this, it was so so so important to him and there would be no more stupid interruptions if they went up to the rooftop. sure, yena was extremely kind to the boy and always did what he asked, but she had the iq of a five year old.

"i don't think those doors are supposed to be unlocked," seungmin furrowed his eyebrows as jeongin kept on walking.

"it's ok." jeongin suddenly stopped, slowly and dramatically turning to face seungmin.

(btw this is a inside joke between jeongin & seungmin 🙀)

seungmin playfully shook his head, "what's going on innie? you've been acting strange this whole entire day."

jeongin looked him dead in the eyes, his gaze softened. "did felix do something to you? every time i mention him, your complexion completely changes and you look on edge. is everything alright?"

seungmin was taken aback, he was not expecting jeongin to abruptly ask him about the traitor. he wanted to tell the younger about everything felix did to him, but he was scared as to what felix would do to him, as felix was obsessed with jeongin.

the two boys stood in silence, jeongin's gaze not wavering from him. seungmin bit his lip, tears threatening to run down his cheeks. he wanted to tell him so so so so so bad, but he couldn't. seungmin couldn't risk losing his friend to a psychopath, to a murderer.

"i see," jeongin looked away, "if you ever want to tell me, you can. i'll always wait for you, seungmin." jeongin half-smiled at seungmin, before he walked past him and down the stairs.

seungmin lowered his head, dropping the hot cheetos bag out of his hands. he lifted his arm to cover his face as he sobbed. and sobbed. and sobbed.

he stood there and cried.

while someone came up from behind him and hugged him.

(GUESS WHO IT WAS 😽🙀🙀😻😻)
