There are several types of People which call this Earth home. They are the magifolk, the non-magifolk (which, in Sylvanium, they call themselves Puritans for their so-called purity) and the magicreatures. Since 2090 the non-magicals have declared themselves superior to the magical beings, forcing them to a certain extinction, ridding the Earth of what they call "debris". They consider themselves very "generous"for even allowing them to continue living for now, when instead they could have created a mass extinction, which they would have done and were doing anyway.

They squashed out most thoughts of rebellion from the magifolk by implementing the Room (see pages 104-107) and almost created a Magi-Sterilization programme, had it not been outvoted by the citizens and left unratified. (These "citizens" have long been suspected to be magifolk posing as non-magicals, but no evidence has ever been found.)

Their plan to eradicate the magical races would have succeeded, eventually, if it hadn't been for the Faverlow sisters, neither fully magifolk, magicreature or non-magical, and a little help...
