Yes, I Am Stubborn. Get Used To It

Moon

I woke up, my head feeling like a hammer was beating at my temple.

I was back in Magnus' room, and his back was to me as he was arguing with a girl with fire red hair and freckles dotting her pale face.

I felt something on my arm, and a bandage was wrapped around my elbow, a dot of my silver blood soaking through.

"What the heck is she?" The redhead asked once she realized I was awake.

Magnus whipped around, and he looked at me like I had three heads.

"Some sort of angel, I think." Magnus replied.

I glared at him in annoyance. I would not leave my children alone.  I had to make it home.

I tried swinging my legs off the bed, but the room around me spun as if I was on a turntable going 80 miles an hour.

"I wouldn't do that." The red head said, crossing her arms and scanning me with a suspicious eye.

"Why'd you run off like that?" Magnus asked, clearly a little upset that I took off.

"Like I told you. I have to get home to my kids." I snapped, and the red head's suspicious look faltered.

"You didn't tell me she had kids!" The red head shouted to Magnus.

"Im sorry, but we can't let her leave!  Odin said to watch her!"

"I don't care what he said. I'm getting home, one way or another." I snarled.

Both teens looked at me in surprise, and I realized what I just said. I had insulted the king of Norse gods.

I put my feet to the grass carpet, using the bedframe to leverage myself up.

The room around me was spinning even faster now, and I felt like regurgitating.

"I wouldn't do that." The red head advised.

"And I wouldn't try to stop me." I hissed, my anger rising the longer I stayed away from my children.

  I wouldn't leave them alone.

I needed them just as much as they needed me.  Yes, I trusted the bots, but I needed to be there. I didn't want them to think I ran off.

Magnus sighed. "We don't want to keep you from your kids, but, it's Odin we're talking about here."

I relaxed for a moment. It wasn't their fault I was stuck here. It was Odin's, for whatever reason. But whatever it was, I didn't like it.

I sighed and sat back down, holding my head and clamping my eyes shut. I just wanted to get home. I just wanted my kids.

  It's all I wanted.

I heard Magnus come close to me and he put his hand on my shoulder. "I don't know what kind of trouble you got yourself mixed into, but we'll look after you." He said, trying to comfort me.

I didn't know how to react.  I just wanted to be home.

"I just want my kids." I muttered under my breath.

The red head sighed.  "We get it." She muttered.

I tried getting up, and the room around me spun violently, but I just took it slow and managed to get my footing.

"Stubborn, ain't ye?" The redhead asked.

She had a very thick irish accent at the moment.

"I am." I said, standing up straight, my feathers twitching indignantly. "So get used to it."

The red head chuckled and glanced at Magnus. "I like her."

I didn't say anything. I just rested my wrists on my dagger hilts, walking around slowly to keep my head from pounding.

My stomach roared with hunger, and I blinked in surprise.

A loud horn sounded, and Magnus grinned.  "Perfect timing." He nodded to the door. "Come on. It's dinner time."
