Suddenly, An Idea

As the gang was trick-or-treating and getting scores of full-sized candy bars, they were having a lot of fun and laughed as they enjoyed their night so far.

"Man, I missed this." April said. "I can't remember the last time I actually had a fun Halloween night out."

"Yeah, our last Halloween was filled with monsters." Casey said. "It was so metal!"

Everyone just looked at Casey with a look that said 'Are you for real?'.

"I mean. . . I *did* get turned into a vampire, so I missed out on a lot." Casey said. "But it was still a creepy cool time!"

"Yeah, cause FOMO was the biggest issue then." Donnie said as he rolled his eyes.

"Oh, that reminds me." Casey said. "Jake, are you able to mind control others with your vampire-like abilities?"

"Casey, that's inappropriate." April said, defensively.

"No, that's actually a valid question." Jake said. "I've. . . never actually tried before. Not that I've ever been thinking about it, of course."

"Ooh, what about biting someone's neck?" Raph asked. "Have you ever thought about if you could turn others into vampires, too?"

"Raph!" April said, starting to get annoyed.

"I'm sure I could." Jake said. "Bit I wouldn't ever do that, unless it was a dire circumstance."

"So, you'd turn another person if their life depended on it?" Makayla asked.

"I don't even know how much vampire I even am." Jake said. "Who knows how far the spectrum goes for my powers."

"Didn't you say you were half-vampire?" Mikey asked.

"Even then, I don't know how much of that half is actual traditional vampire." Jake said. "It's complicated, okay."

"Well, I didn't think vampires had freakish lightning abilities." Donnie said. "Unless that's a new development for this particular canon?"

"Can we stop talking about Jake's hybrid?" April asked, getting defensive if she boyfriend. "Can't you tell he's still partially insecure about it?"

"Yeah, chill out a bit." Makayla said. "He'll talk about it when he's better at his own understanding."

"Sorry." Mikey said. "Though, I wonder if he's related to Dracula."

"Mikey!" Everyone suddenly yelled at once, causing Mikey to flinch in surprise.

"Yo, dude! Have you heard?" A teenage boy suddenly said. "That creepy house at the end of the street has a wicked stash!"

"The one at the end?" Another teenage boy asked. "You mean the one that's haunted? No one ever goes there."

"It's not haunted." The first teenage boy scoffed. "Those are just silly fairy-tales to get people to stay away from their stash. The owners are filthy rich, you know?"

"Well, I'm not going over there." The second teenage boy said. "I'm not gonna risk it."

"Okay, pussy." The other teenage boy said as the two of them just walked passed the group.

The group then turned their attention to the house at the end of the street. It was a large mansion with a gate surrounding the entirety of the area. And it looked dark and broken down.

"Is that the mansion they were talking about?" Mars asked.

"It's looks spooky." Elexa said. "But I wouldn't quite say haunted."

"I bet it's because the owners must be really old that they look dead." Raph said with a smirk. "That's why it's haunted."

"That's not funny, Raph." Gracie said.

"Oh, come on!" Raph said. "It was to me!"

"We should check it out." Shane said. "If there really is a huge stash of rich people candy, then we could get it all for ourselves."

"Seeing as how people are already too scared to go over there, that might work out." Mars said.

"I don't know, guys." Douxie said. "I'm already getting a strange aura from that place."

"You're always getting strange auras." Makayla said. "Remember how you felt around Jake when his powers started awakening?"

"That's a bad comparison." Douxie said. "Cause even that turned out to be bad at the start!"

"I vote on checking the place out." Jake said. "Mainly to spite Hisir-Doofus."

"You cold-blooded son-of-a-gun." Douxie said with an angered sigh.

"Are we sure it's a good idea?" Callie asked. "I'm with Douxie on this one. We shouldn't test it."

But it was too late. Everyone had already made up their mind and began to head for the mansion at the end of the street.

"They're not gonna listen." Douxie said. "Sorry, Callie."

Callie just sighed as she began to follow behind them, along with Douxie.

When they got to the gate of the mansion, everyone stopped and took a look at the large building in front of them.

"Time to get our jackpot." Mikey said as he tried to open the gate, but it was stuck in place. "Oh. . . it's stuck."

"This house looks old." Donnie said. "Possibly close to a century at most."

"If that's the case, are the owners even still alive?" Gracie asked.

"If they were, they'd be zombies." Raph said.

"And possibly not the good kind." Elexa said. "Like me, for example."

"Either that or they died a long time ago and the house is still sitting here." April said. "I wonder if there's some money-hungry real estate agent who'd try to sell this house for more than it's worth."

"Dead or not, I'm not missing out on that stash." Casey said, as he jumped on the gate and tried to climb it.

"What are you doing?" Donnie asked.

"I'm getting inside." Casey said. "What's it look like?"

"I believe this is trespassing." Callie said.

"Is it really a crime if we're doing it for sweets?" Casey asked.

"It's a crime regardless if you're here to clean their windows!" Douxie said. "The gate is closed for a reason. We're clearly not supposed to be here."

Casey then jumped down to the other side and got the gate opened for the rest of them.

"Come on inside." Casey said with a smirk.

Everyone then went through the now open gate as Douxie and Callie just stood back and sighed.

"Well, we've come this far." Callie said. "We can't turn back now, can we?"

"We could've always turned back." Douxie said.

In a sigh of defeat, Douxie and Callie headed towards the house. Casey knocked on the door as they waited for the owners to come to the door.

Callie looked up the tall building as the night wind caused the house to creak.

"There's no one home." Douxie said. "To no one's surprise."

"Wait, maybe they're deaf." Casey said. "Let me try this."

As he said that, Casey rang the doorbell, which rang a really loud noise that echoed throughout the entire neighborhood.

"Well, that's a little excessive." Mars said.

Suddenly, the door opened up with a creak and showed them to a dark entry room. But no one came to the door.

"Uh. . . that door just opened up by itself." Gracie said.

"Relax, it was probably the wind." Donnie said. "These old doors tend to not be shut properly overtime."

"Let's go inside." Casey said.

"That would be breaking and entering." Callie said.

"But the door opened on its own." Casey said. "The house is basically inviting us in itself."

"That's not how that works." Douxie said. "It's still bad. Let's leave while we still can."

"Um, that might be a little bit tricky." Mars said, as he was facing the gate.

Everyone turned around the see that the gate has closed behind them. Leo ran up to the gate and tried to get it open again, but it wouldn't budge.

"The gate is stuck again." Leo said. "And I can't get it open this time."

"It's fine." Casey said. "We'll just climb it back out."

"In *this* tight cat costume?" April said. "Sorry, but that's not happening."

"So, what do we do now then?" Shane asked.

"There's only one way left to go." Casey said. "And that. . . is inside the building. Let's go get rich."

Wth that said, Casey went inside of the house without another thought.

"Casey, you idiot!" Donnie said in anger.

"We should get him out of there." Elexa said.

"Let him die." Douxie said. "I'm afraid all we can say after is that we tried to warn him."

But no one listened to Douxie as they all ran in after Casey.

"Why does no one listen to me?!" Douxie said in anger as he also went inside of the building after them.

Once everyone was inside of the house, the door suddenly slammed shut in its own as a faint evil laugh was seemingly heard in the wind. . .
