The Third Flashback Dream
After the hangout with April, Jake happily went back home with a huge smile on his face. He enjoyed every moment that he had with April.
He was quiet going inside, as Makayla and everyone else seemed to have gone to bed early, so he just went up to his room and changes into his pajamas and lay in bed.
'Man. . . I wish that I could tell April how I feel.' Jake thought to himself. 'But with Donnie being up my ass and Natalie basically having me tied to her, I don't think I'll be able to.'
But as Jake was thinking about it, he instantly shook his head. 'No. . . even without those obstacles, I can't.' He thought. 'Not after I went through what I did with Ryan. And now that she's back. . . God, I don't even want to think about it.'
Jake just put aside his thoughts and shit off his light and rolled to his side.
"Maybe tomorrow will be fine." Jake said to himself, as he closed his eyes and went to sleep.
But as he fell asleep, he began to have another weird dream, continuing off from the last one a couple of nights ago.
Jake's 'dream'. . .
Back in the dungeon, Vlad was sitting against the wall with a look of sorrow on his face.
"Well, I guess it's my time to go." Vlad said to himself. "I can't escape even with my powers. If I didn't have these cursed cuffs, I might be able to-"
"Hey!" A voice called out to him. "Are you alright?"
Vlad looked over and saw Jessica running up to him. "Huh? Who are you?" He spoke out in shock. "And what are you doing here?"
"My name is Jessica Hunter. Don't worry, I'm here to save you." Jessica said. "You won't be getting executed here now."
"No, it's too dangerous for you." Vlad said. "You need to go."
"I'm not leaving you!" Jessica said. "You deserve to love just as much as the others did. I won't let you die here!"
Vlad looked at Jessica with admiration in his eyes. This girl came all this way to save him. And from the looks of it, she wasn't gonna give up.
"Okay, but how do you plan on getting me out of here?" Vlad asked.
Jessica smirked as she pulled out a key.
"Ah, I see." Vlad said.
Jessica then unlocked the cell door and opened it, freeing Vlad.
"There you go." Jessica said. "You're free now."
"Thanks. . ." Vlad said. "But I don't have anywhere to go. I'll just get caught again."
"I know where we can go." Jessica said.
"We?" Vlad asked.
"Yeah, I'm going with you." Jessica said. "I'd hate to let you be all alone."
Vlad blushed a bit as she said that. No one has ever cared for him as much before, not even his own family. He was always seen to be a perfect prince, but this girl. . . she saw something in him that no one else did. And he could feel it, too.
"Yeah. . . okay. I'll go with you." Vlad said.
"Great. Follow me." Jessica said, grabbing his hand and pulling him alongside her.
________
After many careful maneuvers, Jessica and Vlad were in the middle of the woods.
"Alright, it's just a little further." Jessica said.
"Where are we even going?" Vlad asked.
"You'll see soon enough." Jessica said.
Soon enough, they approached a small trailer in the middle of the woods.
"This is it." Jessica said. "This is where we can hide out."
"It's a little small." Vlad said.
"It's a family sized trailer." Jessica said. "My dad brought it out here when we stopped using it. But it should still be a nice cozy, place."
With that said, Jessica opened the trailer door with Vlad right behind her. But when she opened the door, it was dark and a mess. And there were cobwebs every where and roaches scattering across the floor.
"Yeah. . . nice and cozy." Vlad said with a smile.
"No. . . we're gonna have to clean up a bit." Jessica said. "But don't worry, it shouldn't take long."
_______
A few hours passed, and the trailer was finally clean enough to live in.
"That took longer than I thought." Jessica said, wiping sweat from her forehead. "But it's good now."
"Hey, Jessica. . . can I ask you something?" Vlad asked.
"Sure." Jessica said. "What's up?"
"What is this really about?" Vlad asked.
"Huh?" Jessica asked.
"You risked your life saving me." Vlad said. "And now here we are, living together in an abandoned trailer."
"I'm just trying to be nice." Jessica said.
"I know. That's why I'm curious." Vlad said. "There's more to this, is there?"
Jessica blushed when he asked that. She didn't want to admit it, but there was another reason why she was doing this. And it was more than simple judgement.
"Well. . . I feel like I have to." Jessica said. "Your kind has been treated so badly for millennia. And now, you're one of the last. I just. . . I felt like I had to save you."
"But why?" Vlad asked. "I could be dangerous to you. I could bite your neck at any moment."
"I guess I. . . trust you." Jessica said. "I believe that you're not like other vampires. You seem nice. . . and not as bloodthirsty."
Vlad was shocked to hear that from a human. Considering that all he knew was fear his whole life, this young woman may just be what he was looking for.
"Well. . . I never did like the taste of human blood." Vlad said, honestly. "It's too salty. Now, horse blood is where it's at. Ooh, or even cow's blood. That's the good stuff right there."
Jessica chuckled at Vlad's enthusiasm. "Well, that's good to know." She said.
The two then stopped for a second and looked in each other's eyes.
"Thanks again, Jess." Vlad said. "Um, mind if I call you Jess?"
"Not at all." Jessica smiled. "And you're welcome."
"You know. . . maybe I can get used to this." Vlad said. "With you by my side. . . I feel safer."
"You know what?" Jessica said with a smile. "Me too."
The two of them then walked closer to each other, before they wrapped their arms around each other and stared into each other's eyes lovingly.
"You. . . I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Jess." Vlad said.
"I think. . . I do too." Jessica said with a smile as she blushed.
The two of them then leaned in as their lips almost touched. . .
End of dream. . .
*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
Jake suddenly shot awake as his alarm went off right in his ear. He reached over and slammed down on it to shut it off.
"So, those two. . . fell in love?" Jake said, trying to get a feel for his dream. "I mean. . . it's nice, but I still don't know the connection to them. It's all so weird."
Jake then sat up on the side of his bed. "But it doesn't matter now. I have to get ready for school." He said, before realizing what he'd be going through. "Oh right. . . school. And this day, I can already tell is going to be extra hellish."
To be continued. . .
