The Final Flashback Dream. . .
When Jake got home, he instantly went to his room. He didn't want to think about anything that had happened today. He wanted to try and forget about everything that has happened. From Ryan's attack to Natalie exposing his secret, he didn't want anything to do with that anymore. But he knew he would keep hearing about it for days on end. And it was all Natalie's fault.
"God, I hate her *so* much right now!" Jake said to himself in anger. "She's even worse than Ryan! Cause at least *she* didn't try to ruin my life with a video."
Jake then thought back to that night when he first unlocked his powers and became that monster.
"There's no way that was actually me, right?" Jake asked himself. "I had no recollection of what happened that night, but if that's it. . . then damn! I really am a monster."
Jake then laid down in his bed and turned on his side. It was still early in the day, but Jake was already feeling tired.
Soon enough, Jake couldn't help it anymore. His eyes became heavy as they eventually closed and he fell fast asleep.
But he didn't expect what he would see next. . .
Jake's Dream. . .
A few years have passed since the last dream. And now, the couple had a small child. It was a baby boy with cyan hair. He was sleeping peacefully in his mother's arms. . . the same woman from the previous dreams.
"He's so cute when he's sleeping." Jessica said with a small smile. "Don't you think so, Vlad?"
"Yeah. . . he's the best." Vlad said as he rubbed the baby's head. "Though, I'm kind of concerned about the cyan hair. That's an odd color."
"Yeah. . . I was curious about that, too." Jessica said. "But it's not like we can go to a doctor for an examination. They'll just give us up to my family."
"Man, am I glad I was here to help you deliver." Vlad chuckled. "But seriously, we can't keep this hidden forever. The boy's gonna grow up and he'll want to see the outside world."
"I know." Jessica said. "I'm still trying to figure out what we can do for him when it comes down to that."
The baby boy then opened his eyes and looked up at his mother.
"Aw, he's awake." Jessica said with a smile.
The baby boy cooed as he reached out his hand to his mother and grabbed her hair.
"Aw, he's a curious little guy, too." Jessica said.
"More proof that he'll definitely want to see the outside." Vlad said. "And if he has my vampire genes. . . it won't be good. We'll all be executed!"
"Don't worry so much, Vlad." Jessica said. "I promise that I'll keep our son, and you, safe from harm."
Vlad smiled as he sat down next to his wife. "I'm glad I've got you." He said with a smile.
"Me too." Jessica said with a smile.
The two lovers then leaned in and kissed each other on the lips. The baby boy laughed as he saw how much love he was surrounded by.
But suddenly, there was a loud crash as something flew through the window and broke it into pieces.
"What the hell?!" Vlad cried out as he got up and saw what had flown through the window.
It was a small wooden stake with the thickness of a crossbow bolt.
"A wooden stake?" Vlad said, as he bent down to pick it up.
At that moment, another stake flew through the window and hit Vlad right in the shoulder, causing him to cry out in pain and fall to the floor.
"Vlad!" Jessica got up and rushed over to her husband's side. "Are you okay?"
"The hunters. . ." Vlad said, clutching his arm in pain. "They've found us."
"We know you're in there, vampire!" One of the hunters said. "And you too, Ms. Hunter!"
"It's *Mrs. Moon* now, asshole!" Jessica yelled back.
The baby boy then began to cry as he didn't know what was going on.
"You need to get out of here." Vlad said. "Run and take our son to a safe place."
"But where am I supposed to go?" Jessica asked, her son still crying in her arms.
"I don't care." Vlad said. "Just get far away from here!"
"What about you?" Jessica asked.
"I'll distract the hunters." Vlad said. "But you need to go. . . now."
"No, you'll be killed!" Jessica said. "And I'm not about to let our son grow up without a father!"
"Jessie, please. . ." Vlad said, looking at his wife. "You have to. It's the only way to ensure both of your safety."
Jessica gasped softly and froze when he said that. Whenever he called her "Jessie", she knew it was serious.
"I'll always love you, Vlad." Jessica said.
"Me too, my love." Vlad said.
The two of them then gave each other one last parting kiss.
"Until we meet again. . ." Vlad said, before jumping out of the broken window.
"Come and get me, hunters!" Vlad said, running off into the woods.
"He's going that way!" One of the hunters said. "Get him!"
Once she was able to, Jessica sprinted in the opposite direction. But unfortunately, the leaves beneath her made too much nosie and one of the hunters spotted her escaping.
"The maiden is getting away!" A hunter said.
"Not for long." Another hunter said. "Men, split up! Half of us will go after the vampire. The rest of us. . . we'll go after the leader's daughter."
As Jessica was running, she heard the footsteps of the hunters running after her.
"Crap. . . they must've seen me." Jessica said in ear as she kept running. "I just have to keep going!"
Jessica continued to run, but it felt hopeless in the end. Jessica wasn't paying much attention to her surroundings and suddenly felt herself trip over a tree root, before tumbling down a small hill with her son still in her arms.
Once she stopped, the baby boy continues to cry as Jessica tried to calm him down.
"Shh. . . it's okay, son." Jessica said, holding her son close to her. "Everything is okay."
Jessica then tried to stand up, but immediately felt a pain in her ankle, causing her to fall back down to her knees.
"Damn it. . . I twisted my ankle." She said, wincing in pain. "What am I supposed to do now?"
Jessica gasped as she heard the hunters getting closer to her. Tears began to well up in her eyes as she held her son close to her. "I'm sorry, my son. . . mama tried to protect you." She said, as she began to cry. "But I failed. . . you're gonna be taken from me."
Suddenly, a bright light appeared in front of Jessica as a big door with an eye on it appeared before her. And a small owl with a large basket came out and looked up at her.
"Huh?" Jessica spoke out in surprise.
The small owl looked up at her and then at the child in her arms and made a small 'hoot'.
Jessica looked down at her son as she couldn't control herself as she started crying again. "This. . . this is the only way I can protect you, my son." She said, placing him in the owl's basket.
She then took grabbed a leaf and a pen she kept in her pocket and wrote something down on it, before putting in the basket.
"Make sure that whoever gets this. . . knows that I did my best." Jessica said.
She then looked down at her son, who was still crying and held his little hand. She then began to sing a little lullaby:
"Shine like the moonlight. . .
Shimmer like the stars. . .
When the sky turns dark. . .
Don't be afraid. . .
I'll always be by your side. . .
Through the endless night. . ."
Soon, the baby boy was fast asleep in the basket. Jessica then let go of the child's hand.
"I love you. . . my son." Jessica said, before kissing her own hand and placing it on the baby's forehead.
"I see her!" A hunter said from the distance. "What's that weird light?"
"Go. . . now." Jessica said in a hushed voice.
The owl picked up the basket and flew through the portal, before it suddenly closed and disappeared.
The hunters then finally caught up to Jessica and aimed their crossbows at her. She stood up, holding up her hands and turned around to face them.
"Where's the child?" The lead hunter asked, demandingly.
"He's safe from the likes of you." Jessica said, coldly. "And I'm ready to face whatever punishment you have in store for me."
. . . .
On the other side of the portal, the owl had arrived inside of a house. There, a young woman was living there and was shocked to see the baby in a basket.
"Now, what's this?" The young woman asked as she looked into the basket. "Oh my titan. . . it's a child!"
She then noticed the leaf and read it.
"If you're getting this, please take good care of my son. He means the world to me, but I cannot take care of him anymore. So, I'm entrusting anyone that gets this to care for him as he grows up.
By the way, his name is Jakus Moon."
The young woman looked back down at the child and smiled softly. "Well, my life is a bit crazy right now." She said. "But. . . how's taking care of a child going to make it worse? Maybe. . . this is what I need."
End of dream. . . or was it?

Jake's subconscious. . .
Jake suddenly opened his eyes to find himself in a dark void of sorts. He tried to move, but he felt like he was stuck to the ground. He tried to speak, but a strange substance was covering his mouth. He moved his hand up to feel it and he began to freak out internally when he realized that his whole body was wrapped in a weird black substance with a dark purple outline surrounding him.
Standing in front of him, was a figure of a young man, looking the same age as him, staring him down with a deal glare. He had pale skin, jet black hair, red eyes, and was wearing a black jacket, a black shirt with a light grey stripe on it, black pants, and black shoes. He also had sharp fangs and large bat wings.
'Where am I?' Jake thought to himself. 'Did I die in my sleep? Is this hell?'
"Welcome to the depths of your consciousness. . ." The figure said. "You have reached the end of your flashback dreams."
'Flashback dreams?' Jake thought to himself. 'Wait. . . so those dreams I had. . . they weren't just random. Could it have been. . . ?'
"Now that you're aware of your past. . . it's time to learn more." The figure said. "You must aquire the dark Grinmoire and read up on your destiny."
'My destiny?' Jake thought to himself. 'Wait. . . he's never explained the dreams! He just moved in to the next thing!'
"Once you aquire the knowledge you seek. . . everything will change." The figure said.
'Everything will change?' Jake thought to himself in fear. 'Change how?'
At that moment, the void around him suddenly began to warp and twist around him.
"I'll be seeing you soon. . . Jakus." The figure said.
'Wait. . . I'm not ready to go yet!' Jake thought to himself. 'There's still so much questions I have to ask!'
To be continued. . .
