Harassed And Rescued

The next day at school, Jake was walking with April and Makayla. He didn't know what happened the night before, but based on how April was concerned for him, it was probably bad. But he didn't want to bring it up, considering that his sister was right there with them.

April was also hesitant to say anything, either. Especially after the wierd 'dream' she had last night. Although, she still wasn't sure of it was a vision or not, since Za-Naron had said it was what the future was going to be. She didn't believe it, bit she also didn't bring it up, since it involved the monster from her past. And she wasn't ready to tell Jake about that just yet.

"Wow. . . you guys sure are quiet this morning." Makayla said. "I'm getting some awkward vibes here."

"Sorry, sis." Jake apologized. "It's just. . . some weird things happened last night that I can't talk about."

"Why not?" Makayla asked.

Jake thought about the four mutant turtles living just beneath their feet and remembered how April told him to keep them a secret. "Oh, it's just personal stuff." Jake said. "Also, I mainly don't remember much from last night, anyway."

That last part wasn't a total lie, but Jake couldn't just bring up the turtles. 'Sorry, sis. But the less you know, the better.' He thought to himself.

"Don't worry, Makayla." April said with a smile. "You'll learn of it all in time. But for now. . . it has to remain a secret."

"Okay. . ." Makayla said. "I'm just gonna go in ahead and go into the cafeteria for breakfast."

"You ate just before we left." Jake said.

"I'm still hungry." Makayla said, before walking off, leaving Jake and April alone.

"Man, I thought we'd have to be quiet forever." April said.

"So, should we talk about last night?" Jake asked. "I still have so many questions."

"What is there to say?" April asked.

"What's with the four mutant turtles living in the sewer?" Jake whispered aggressively. "Were you going to tell me about them?"

"Well, it's complicated." April whispered back. "No one should know about them."

"Then why do you know about them?" Jake asked.

"They saved me and my dad from. . . uh, street thugs." April said. "It was only fair that I become their ally."

"Everything you just said sounds like a lie." Jake said.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." April said. "Like I said, it's complicated."

Jake was about to say something else, but that's when an all too familiar, obnoxious voice broke in to their conversation. "Ah, Jakey-boo! There you are!" It said.

Jake groaned in frustration as he turned to see Natalie walking up to them. And she had a large smile on her face.

"You've been avoiding me." Natalie said. "Why?"

"Why do you think?" Jake asked.

"Oh, don't be like that." Natalie said, clinging to Jake's arm. "We have such good chemistry. Why ruin it by avoiding fate?"

"What fate?" Jake asked. "Let go of me."

"Let's go and hang out together." Natalie said with a smirk. "I promise it'll be worth your while."

"Hey, back off." April said, stepping forward. "He clearly doesn't want to hang out with you. So, take a hint, girl!"

"Ah. . . you're here too." Natalie said. "April O'Niel, was it? Sorry to break you both apart, but it's my turn with Jakey-boo."

"Your 'turn'?" April said in disgust. "What do you think he is? Your toy?"

"I know who you are, O'Niel." Natalie said in a threatening tone. "I'll spill the tea right now."

"Okay, that's enough." Jake said, finally ripping his arm away from Natalie. "Just leave us alone. I don't want to hang out with you."

"Well then, we can always be a group of three?" Natalie suggested.

"Ew, with you? No way!" April said, clearly disturbed by her nature.

"Yeah, I'd rather be friends with the mutants." Jake said, under his breath.

"Fine. If you won't come with me when I'm nice. . ." Natalie's smirk turned in to a grimace. "Then I'll just have to force you to!"

"Hey, why don't you leave already?" A voice said from nearby. "They already told you more than once!"

"Yeah, so take a hike!" Another voice said.

April and Jake looked ahead to see four more people walking up to them. There were three girls and one boy. The first girl had red and orange streaked hair and blue eyes. Her name is Marsha Magma. But everyone calls her Mars. The second girl had black hair and blue eyes. Her name is Elexa. The third girl had brown hair and brown eyes. Her name is Gracie Villafana. The boy was actually a blue hedgehog with black streaks. His name is Shane Baker.

"What do you losers want?" Natalie asked in anger. "I'm busy."

"Busy harassing this poor guy?" Mars asked. "I don't think so."

"You better leave him alone, Natalie." Gracie said angrily.

"Or else what?" Natalie smirked, turning to the group of students.

"You don't want to know." Shane said.

"We'll make sure you regret it!" Elexa said angrily.

"Oh, I'm so scared." Natalie said sarcastically. "Seriously, who do you people think you are?"

"You really think we won't hurt you?" Mars said angrily as her hand began to glow bright with flames. "Cause I'll burn your ass and send you straight to hell!"

'Woah. . . what's up with this girl?' Jake thought to himself, looking down at her hands. 'Is she a-?'

"Wow, neat party trick." Natalie said, unimpressed. "But maybe watch who you show that off to. You don't know who you're messing with."

"I think I'll take my chances." Mars said, now at her full power.

"Maybe calm down a bit, Marsha. . ." Elexa said, feeling concerned. "You don't want to lose control."

"It's okay." Mars said. "I'm well acquainted with my powers. I won't lose control."

Mars then began to slowly walk up to Natalie with fire in her eyes. Natalie quickly realized that she wasn't playing around and got scared.

"Woah, hey now. . . no need to get all fiery with me." Natalie said, slowly backing away from Jake. "I was just playing around."

"Then leave." Mars said.

Natalie took one last look at Jake, smirking before blowing a kiss to him and then walking off.

"That girl is freaky." Shane said. "And not in the good way."

"Are you alright, dude?" Gracie asked.

"Yeah, I am." Jake said. "Thanks to you."

"I'm Marsha Magma." Mars said, going back to normal and sticking her hand out. "But you can call me Mars."

"Nice to meet you." Jake said, shaking her hand. "I'm Jake."

"Wanna hang out with us before class starts?" Mars asked. "We've still got a few more minutes."

"Sure." Jake said. "You want to come along too, April?"

"Well, if it's okay with them." April said.

"Of course." Mars said. "The more, the merrier."

With that, Jake and April followed the group to hang out with them. And they were thankful that they came around to help them out. Otherwise, it could've ended up much worse.

But as they were going to hang out, Natalie stood by and watched in anger as her plan had failed. "Those idiots!" She said angrily. "I could've had him to myself again! But they had to ruin it all!"

"Excuse me?!" Am angry voice said from behind Natalie. "Are you trying to get with my man?"

Natalie turned around to see Ryan walking up to her. And she did not look happy to see what she had just witnessed.

"Don't worry, Ry." Natalie smirked. "This is all a part of my plan to get you guys back together again. Trust the process."

"Well. . . if you're sure." Ryan said. "Just don't be trying any funny business."

"Alright, I won't." Natalie said, rolling her eyes. "Geez. . ."

"Also, I've been meaning to talk to you anyway." Ryan said. "You totally dipped away on our meeting last night!"

"Sorry, I had some important business to attend to." Natalie said. "But we'll meet tonight. I promise."

Ryan wasn't so sure about that. But if she was going to get Jake back, then she had to trust her. The fate of her love depended on it.
