A Day Of Hell
Once Jake had arrived at school, he immediately looked around for Natalie. Not because he was waiting for her, but because he wanted to avoid her. At this point, Jake knew it was impossible, but he was gonna try anyway.
"No sign of any psycho women." Jake said to himself. "But I know if she's here, she'll pop out of nowhere and pull me away in a flash."
"Hey, Jake." A voice suddenly said, causing Jake to jump back in fear.
"Gah!" Jake yelled as he quickly turned around, but was quickly put at ease when he saw it was just Mars. "Mars?! What the hell? You startled me!"
"Oh, sorry." Mars said. "Is something wrong?"
"No, I should apologize." Jake said. "I'm just a little on edge. Something crazy happened to me the other night and. . . I'm in a bit of a pickle."
"Oh?" Mars said.
"Look. . . I can't stay out in the open for long." Jake said. "Otherwise, she'll see me."
"Who are you talking about?" Mars asked.
"Ugh. . . it's Natalie." Jake said.
"That psycho b***h?!" Mars said in shock. "What are you screwing around with her for?"
"It's only temporary." Jake said. "I just have to find a way out of the blackmail she has on me."
"Blackmail?" Mars said in shock.
"Please don't bring this up to anyone else." Jake said. "I don't need them to worry, okay."
"Oh, I can't promise that." Mars said, seriously.
"Just. . . pretend we never even had this conversation." Jake said.
"Again. . . I can't promise that." Mars said.
"Just trust me." Jake said. "I'll find a way around this."
With that said, Jake walked away and left Mars alone as she shook her head in disappointment. "I ain't keeping no promises." She said, before turning and heading towards a table where the rest of her friends were sitting.
Back with Jake, he was simply walking around and keeping an eye out. He didn't want stay still for too long, since that could cause him to be spotted easier. And he wasn't about to get caught by the one person he hated the most right now.
_______
"Oh, my goal is still to get you to love me. But. . . you're clearly too hard to get. And I'm getting desperate."
"So, this is what you resort to? I can report you for this, you know?"
"And once you do that, I won't have to hide it anymore. And I'll just expose you anyway."
"Damn it! Why are you so persistent?"
"Because. . . I love you, Jake. That's all I've ever done this for. And it's why I'm threatening your social status now."
"No. . . you're insane. If you think that this will make me agree to be with you-"
"Listen. . . I don't want this too be hard. I just want one night with you, Jake. One night. . . and I'll delete the video."
"You. . . can't bribe me into this."
"You know you want to, Jake. Come on. . ."
"No, I can't! I don't have it in me!"
"Why? Are you afraid of ruining your innocence? We don't have to go that far. Remember. . . I have this. If you refuse me. . . I'll expose your freakish nature. . . as well as tell people that you came on to me first."
"You're a pushy one, are you?"
"So, what will you choose? Me. . . or the end of your social life?"
________
'Damn it! And I thought Ryan was bad.' Jake said to himself. 'I'm starting to consider apologizing to her, even though she started this whole mess.'
"There you are, Jakey-Boo!" A familiar voice called out to him.
Jake looked over to see none other than Natalie walking up to him with a smirk on her face.
"Uh, hey Natalie. . ." Jake said. "It seems you've found me. . . yay for you, I guess."
"I knew where you were the whole time, silly." Natalie chuckled, mischievously. "I just wanted to wait until you were definitely alone. Which is wierd, since I thought you'd be hanging out with four eyes or that red-haired bimbo or something."
"Don't bring April into this." Jake said. "You're as much of my priority as I am yours right now. Don't even think about hurting her!"
"Don't worry, I haven't even thought about that." Natalie said, grabbing Jake's hand and placing it on her stomach. "Now, why don't we go somewhere more private?"
"Uh. . ." Jake didn't know how to react to what was happening right now.
"Don't worry, I just want to talk to you." Natalie said. "And there's someone else who does, too."
"Someone else?" Jake asked.
"Just come with me." Natalie said, as she dragged Jake alongside her.
_______
Inside of a classroom, two girls were waiting inside. It was none other than Ryan and Trinity.
"So, what are we waiting for, exactly?" Trinity asked.
"Natalie went to go get Jake." Ryan said. "It's for some sort of intervention."
"This is ridiculous." Trinity said. "You really see nothing wrong with this?"
"Why, what's going on with you?" Ryan asked.
Trinity took a deep breath. "Ry. . . there's something I've been meaning to tell you for a while now." She said.
Ryan raised an eyebrow. "Go on. . ."
Trinity gulped as he prepared to tell her. "You see, I-"
But her sentence was cut short when the door suddenly barged open and Jake and Natalie had arrived inside of the classroom with them.
"I'm back." Natalie said. "It took some convincing, but I brought Jake."
"You've got to be kidding me." Jake said. "Ryan? Trinity? What are you two doing here?"
"We made a pact." Ryan said. "The details aren't important."
"Oh, no no no. . . details are very much important." Jake said. "I am *not* about this lifestyle! You understand? Probably not."
"No, it's not like that." Natalie said. "It's just that I made a deal with Ry."
"A deal?" Jake asked.
"She helps me get you back. . ." Ryan said. "And in return, I have to. . . um. . . well, we haven't got to that yet."
"And that's what I'm suspicious of." Trinity said.
"So, Jake. . . I know I've tried this before, but nothing worked." Ryan said. "And I've made it my mission to win you back no matter what."
"You. . . you broke up with me!" Jake said. "Why so you suddenly want me back? If you wanted me so badly, you wouldn't have-"
"I wasn't in my right mind, Jake!" Ryan said. "But now. . . I've come to understand it better. I realized it was a mistake to leave you. And how I left you so heartbroken."
Jake shot a dirty glare at Trinity, who just shrugged it off, before looking back at Ryan.
"So, I'm gonna make it up to you." Ryan said. "Come back to me, Jake. And I'll be the best girlfriend that you've never had before."
"Um, yeah. . . no thank you." Jake said. "I think I'm gonna pass on that offer."
"Oh, I'm not giving you a choice." Ryan said as she held up her phone. "It's either you come back to me, or. . . I airdrop this video to everyone."
"What?!" Jake said in shock.
"This video that Natalie told me not to watch." Ryan said. "I ended up watching it last night. Sorry, Nat."
"Meh. . . it was inevitable." Natalie shrugged.
"So, what will it be?" Ryan asked. "Will you be my boyfriend again? Or will you risk being exposed for the monster you are?"
Jake took a deep breath. "Do it."
"Excuse me?" Ryan said in shock.
"Go ahead and send that video to everyone." Jake said. "I don't care of people see me as a monster. Anything is better than giving you another chance."
"You. . . you really hate me that much?" Ryan asked, as her eyes began to well up. "You hate me so much that you'd be willing to put your own reputation on this line?!"
"Woah, don't put words in my mouth." Jake said. "I never once said I hated you. In fact, I'd say you're better off without me."
"That's not what you said last time I attempted this." Ryan scowled. "You were rude! You might as well have told me that you hate me!"
"This is ridiculous." Jake said.
"Uh, Ry. . . maybe it's time to let it go." Trinity said.
"No!" Ryan said, angrily. "You don't understand. . . I've come all this way! We've been planning for this moment to go right. . . you can't reject me."
"Can and have." Jake said. "Can I go now?"
"You're still stuck with me, remember?" Natalie said. "There's no escape for you even after this."
"Well, Ryan's going to show that video to everyone anyway." Jake said. "I don't have to spend time with you anymore, either."
"No, you know what?" Ryan said angrily as she slammed her phone on the ground, shattering the screen. "Forget the video! I've come too far to give up now! You will love me again. . . or so help me, I will make sure you know true pain!"
"Is that supposed to make me change my mind?" Jake asked.
"I don't know! Maybe!" Ryan said. "I'm doing me best here!"
"If that was true, maybe you would've contributed more to our relationship before you chose to break up with me." Jake said. "Good day."
"You're not going anywhere, Jake." Ryan said, grabbing his arm. "You're gonna stay here with me forever! I can be better, I promise! Y-You like my stomach, right! Here, feel it!"
"ENOUGH!" Jake yelled, as he pushed Ryan away.
The room suddenly went silent.
"I don't know what has gotten into you, Ryan. But I don't like it." Jake said. "You're acting like a psycho."
"N-No. . . I'm not a psycho. . ." Ryan said, as tears fell from her face. "I'm just madly in love. . . with you."
"Well, I don't know what to tell you." Jake said. "Because. . . I don't love you. Not anymore."
With that said, Jake went to leave the classroom, but not before turning to Natalie. "Go ahead and post that video. . . I'm done with you." He said, before walking out of the classroom.
'Hmm. . . he just walked out on me.' Natalie thought to herself.
Ryan didn't know what to say anymore. She was silent as tears continued to fall down her face, not no sounds came out. She was just standing there.
"Well, I'll be off." Natalie said. "I've got important matters to attend to."
"Wait, you're leaving?" Trinity asked.
"I'll be back." Natalie said. "There's still another phase to this plan of ours."
"Another phase?" Trinity asked.
"You'll learn soon enough." Natalie said, walking out of the room.
"What a loser." Trinity said. "Come on, Ry. We need to get to class."
"No. . . I'm not done." Ryan said.
"Huh?" Trinity asked.
"I. . . I'm not done yet." Ryan said. "Jake will be mine again. . . he just doesn't know it yet."
"Just give it a rest for now, Ry." Trinity said. "He's not gonna-"
"It's that red-haired b***h! She must be using her freak abilities to control him!" Ryan said angrily. "I knew it. . . she *is* a freak! What Natalie said about her. . . it must be true!"
"She said something about April?" Trinity asked.
"It's nothing of your concern." Ryan said. "But I have to do something about it. I. . . I have to save Jake."
"Save him?" Trinity asked. "You're being incomprehensible now."
"I'm gonna. . . I'm gonna kill that b***h!" Ryan said angrily.
"Uh, I'm sorry." Trinity said. "What did you just say?"
"I'm gonna kill her!" Ryan yelled.
"Wait, you're not serious about that, are you?" Trinity asked.
"If I can't have him. . . then no one can!" Ryan said.
"Uh, no. . . I'm not gonna be a part of this." Trinity said.
"You're my best friend, Trinity." Ryan said. "You have to be with me the whole way. Otherwise. . . I might just. . . have to eliminate you, too."
"What?" Trinity asked. "You're insane!"
"I'll kill you too, if you try anything!" Ryan said.
Trinity didn't know what to do. She didn't want to leave her best friend alone, but was this even her best friend anymore? She had completely snapped and didn't appear to be in her own mind anymore. But she also trusted that she'd stick to her word.
"Alright, fine. . . I'll stay by your side." Trinity said.
"Good." Ryan said. "Next time I see that red haired slut. . . I'm gonna cut her throat!"
"Oh boy. . ." Trinity said. "I have a feeling this might be my fault, in a way."
___________
Outside of the classroom, Natalie was still listening in on the conversation. And she was smirking the whole time.
"That's it. . . lose yourself to the darkness." Natalie said, evilly. "And that. . . is phase two complete. Now all that's left, is phase three. But before that. . . I may need to pay a visit to dear ol' Daddy."
To be continued. . .
